  1. Fielder was not in the lineup yesterday either. Hopefully something minor. Is something wrong with Krynzel or is he catching a plane to St. Louis?
  2. Nice article from Huntsville Times but I'm not sure they are correct on the promotion of Delmon Young. It was my understanding he was moved to AAA, not Tampa.
  3. I love when people on here suggest that the lineup is wrong because we always go on to score runs when they do!! It seems to always revolve around the playing of Magruder. I agree that Lee needed a day off...good job Ned!. I disagree that Drese is a crappy pitcher. Since going to the Nationals he has thrown some really good games, now he isn't an elite pitcher but if his sinker is sinking he is going to be tough today. He's a guy I wish we would've gotten instead of the guy who is pitching for us today.
  4. I think Marte just had what might be the worst game of his life, past and future. 2 balls to the warning track caught...one would have been a HR...strikes out to end the game....and has two key errors. Ugh.
  5. Not to mention the fact we had two guys on base and the pitcher was lookin like crap. Durrington would battled and gamed.
  6. I just don't like Sheets batting here. I mean how many delays and puddles do we need before we remove our ace?
  7. I think Melvin should start re-thinking his public(?) stance that Overbay will not be traded this year. We could use him and Jenkins together as bait to get rid of Jenkins' contract. I just don't see much in Lyle that gets me excited anymore. He is not hitting the ball hard and his defense is not good.
  8. I like those Helena uniforms. Two words for Pratt...Mike Myers..it's your only chance!!
  9. Brainerd gets a little cheesy at times, but at least he is not afraid to laugh at himself and I think he does fine with the interviews. What a great night. This game, combined with the exciting game on Thursday have to have Brewers fans excited about the rest of this season and beyond.
  10. So tired of lineup haters....Jenkins and Overbay are where they should be, the bench. Miller has done....nothing...so Moeller can do at least that. How about we let things play out. Magruder is lifetime 2 X 2 against Rusch. Jenkins 3 X10....Overbay 1X6 and Helms 2X13. Nothing to get excited about. Go Crew.
  11. This could be our starting infield for next year, but I question the wisdom of sitting Overbay at this point as he is starting to hit the ball very well.
  12. This just in...They just found Jimmy Hoffa!!!! But still no sign of a guy named Turnbow. Is he hurt? I know we are on the road and always behind but this guy is going to be seriously wild if we don't get him some work. When did he last pitch? Yankees?
  13. Hmm...Cappy impressive out of the pen tonight. Could this be a sign of things to come?
  14. Bill and Daron don't bother me either but the Fielder interview by Schroeder was embarrassing. Schroeder kept asking Fielder about his dad; doesn't Schroeder know that they are basically estranged? "Didn't you call your dad?" Schroeder kept pestering about. This is further evidence that Schroeder is really not as in tune with the Brewers as he should be.
  15. Is that the actual lineup? The biggest surprise to me is no Cirillo. Didn't he do something last night? Can't remember what it was but it seemed like something. I was guessing no JJ tonight.
  16. I can't quite get a read on the reason for Rickie's poor defense. Some say he has trouble throwing, others say he has poor instincts, and others seem to think he is lazy on defense. If this can't be fixed where does he play?
  17. well it was good looking in that he hadn't given up a run. He has a tendency to pitch well for 5-6 batters then it's gone.
  18. Is it me or has Bill Hall been about two inches from everything today? JDLR teases us once again with a good looking inning.
  19. JOE!!!! I was referring to the Dodgers manager as an idiot. And I was simply being napoleonesque in that claim as well. I was not referring to you at all. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
  20. I wasn't wrong. I said "if". The guy that was wrong was the manager of the Dodgers. Idiot.
  21. I'd be shocked if Jenkins or Lyle started tomorrow against Johnson. We can use them for late inning PH opps. and they have little chance against Johnson. Helms is a no-brainer the way O is hitting, and fielding.
  22. I think if Wunsch starts out the next inning we need to PH for Jenks...Magruder would be a nice choice.
  23. Let's have Krynzel PH for Cirillo and keeps Helms in at third.......nah.
  24. I don't think it matters that much that Cruz is in AA as opposed to AAA. The Brewers decided to challenge Brad Nelson and put him in AAA. Cruz could make the jump from AA to the majors if they so choose. AAA is not a requirement to get to the bigs.
