  1. Rickie seemed more comfortable outside of the leadoff position. He was 5th on the team in OBP. I think he will still some day become a gold glover. He has great range at 2nd. I think we should sign him to a 5 year deal now. His price will be pretty low.
  2. Coffey close to closing a deal to become closer? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  3. And secondly I would love to see the brewer's sign K-rod. He is one of the top closers in the game. Please please please please please please please please NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Remember how much Fransisco Cordero got this off season? Do you really want to pay more for a guy like K-Rod? This is really another topic though. I would over pay for 4-5 years to get CC. We will not be able to contend for a WORLD SERIES without 2 Aces. Yovani may be an Ace, CC is one.
  4. same question... new avatar.
  5. Does anyone know who threw out the first pitch in the Tampa game? I missed the beginning.
  6. Pitching. At times, we have a great lineup, but pitching is what wins games. Throw the sink at CC. NL Teams by Team ERA 1. LA - 3.68 2. MIL - 3.85 3. CHC - 3.87 4. PHI - 3.88 5. ARI - 3.98 6. NYM - 4.07 7. STL - 4.19 8. HOU - 4.36 9. SF - 4.38 10. SD - 4.41 11. FLA - 4.43 12. ATL - 4.46 13. CIN - 4.55 14. WAS - 4.66 15. COL - 4.77 16. PIT - 5.08 The top 4 teams in ERA made the playoffs. The top 8 were all contenders until the end. 9-16 were basically out before September. (AL Ranks: TB #2, LAA #3, BOS #4, CWS #6, MIN #7)
  7. I literally took just less than 600 pictures at today's game. It's obviously taking a while to upload them to a website. Eventually I'll pare them down and edit/crop them. But it's too cool right now, so I'm not deleting anything. Please give a link to that site when you have them up. I CAN'T BELIEVE I FORGOT MY CAMERA AT HOME!!!

  9. 1) We don't have Ryan Howard... 2) We don't have Brad Lidge...
  10. I actually had a very poor experience with cubs fans at the game. We were in 434 and we were basically surrounded by cubs fans. When the Marlins scored their first two runs, there was a lot of cheering from Miller Park obviously, and a guy in front of me was telling me to stop cheering for that game and pay attention to the game on the field. I told him that if he were in the same position as I was, he would be cheering for the other game. He tried to tell me he wouldn't, until my friend (who is a cubs fan) told him to shut up. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif My other issue was in the last two innings, I was standing for basically the whole time. I was told to sit down by cubs fans behind me. I said, "the Brewers haven't been to the playoffs in my lifetime. I am standing proud. Deal with it." They weren't really respectful to the importance of that day to Brewer fans.
  11. I think the Brewers win big and the Mets lose a close one. The real question is what do people in Wisconsin watch tomorrow... the Brewers or the Packers? Sadly, I still say Packers. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif

  14. Why? Not saying we are not, but why does that schedule being revealed lead to that conclusion? edit: Ah, I see it's about watching the games (with 140 hours of available leave left http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif, I didn't think of that potential issue for some)...I had read the "we" as referring to the team. I am referring to the fact that we are put in as the WC. If the fates have anything to say about it... its a death wish for this teams chances. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  15. last night was fun. I had to pull a late night at work to finish up some things. On top of work, was wooting and following the brewer game. Thank god for multiple monitor work stations.
  16. we're screwed
  17. I agree that small ball may be a good way to get through a few games when an offense is struggling. But in any given situation, expected runs go down when you give up outs. In the long run, it is always better to swing away than bunt the ball.
  18. it is really hard to follow the game, work, and wootoff all at once.
  19. That link isn't working for me russ.
  20. Thanks for all the wasted hours on this site. Well worth the donation! zzzmanwitz
  21. I think 90 is enough if we win at least 2 of them in Philly. If we win less than 2 in Philly, we need to win 91 or 92 to make it. I currently have the Brewers winning 10 more games this year. If they do that, Philly has to go 13-4, STL 14-4, Houston 15-3. I'm not panicing.... yet.
  22. Many great relievers start out as starting pitchers. Many organizations even recognize that pitchers will be RPs in the majors, but want to have them be SPs in the minors to give them regular pitching routines and more innings.
