  1. I would definitely submit to a community power 50. I love some of the guys at the top of the list. Gets a little dicey after about 7-8...
  2. I would switch Overbay and Reynolds, but I can't really complain about this lineup given what we have been putting out there the last 3 games. Welcome back Jean!
  3. Just saw that Hellweg is in fact going to get TJ Surgery.
  4. I'm sure that will be one of the first 3 questions for RRR after the game. Let's just hope K-Rod gets the job done. Maybe they are saving JH for more high leverage situations?
  5. I'm glad he admitted to using, that's about all I have to say about it. I believe him wholeheartedly that he only used once and was doing so to get back on the field to help his team win. He got is to an NLCS and WE as fans all reaped the rewards for his "poor decision". Now WE are condemning him for doing everything he could to help his team win. 2013 was a lost season by the time the suspension was given and it is only giving young players, like Khris Davis, time to shine. Thank you Mr. Braun, whether you knew it or not, for taking the risk that you did to help your team win and make 2011 one of the most memorable seasons I have ever experienced. Here's to your future as a Brewer and being the centerpiece of more playoff caliber teams. Yes, I know that previous paragraph is a little over the top, but I loved 2011 and am glad that he was on the field to help make that happen. I don't think Braun has taken since high school and I think he will continue to perform at a high level while on the field. I definitely don't want to see him released or traded because he genuinely seems to love Milwaukee and he is the greatest star we've had since Robin Yount.
  6. Cheering and hoping for Gamel.
  7. You guys are overreacting to the initial post. He is not saying move him from being the full time catcher, but just giving him an option to play the field and get some rest away from catcher. I think he could handle 3B and he would need some time to learn it. This year is as good as any. Now, this may be a mute point if MLB goes to a DH format in both leagues, which is likely to happen soon.
  8. Actually, he is allowed to work out with the team on off days and before games. On the radio the other day Lucroy said he was not allowed to have any contact with the team until next spring. Maybe he was mistaken. http://www.jsonline.com/sports/brewers/ryan-braun-can-work-out-with-team-prior-to-games-b9960461z1-216703121.html I suppose this means I am trusting the JS....
  9. Actually, he is allowed to work out with the team on off days and before games.
  10. It is your opinion, it is far from fact. No one except Braun knows all of the facts, and that IS a fact.
  11. The good thing about this news it that it makes me think more and more that he has been clean for most of his career and that he will not be a major burden to the club (on the field) over the remainder of his contract.
  12. If Gennett, Maldonado, Schafer, and Francisco are a part of the Brewers long term plans, we have major issues with the front office.
  13. Very excited to see what Scooter can bring, but my expectations are also very low for him.
  14. I like Gomez batting behind Braun and Ramirez because it removes the fear of making an out on the bases before your best hitters.
  15. Just out of curiosity, what's the rationale behind having Braun batting second? I've always thought he was the perfect #3 hitter, and typically that's where a team's best hitter will sit in the lineup. After the first time through the lineup, he is the 3 hitter, but by being the 2 hitter to start, he will get about 20-40 more PAs in the season.
  16. Someone already said it, all teams try to steal signs. It is the job of the other team to hide them or switch them up.
  17. Well, I'm not going to get pissed at him when a guy hits a 95 MPH fastball below the knees off the plate for a HR.
  18. Axford pitched fine. Sometimes the hitters either get lucky or make amazing contact on a great pitch.
  19. The ball was tipped by the batter. You can see it bounce on the ground. That is why the catcher missed it.
  20. Estrada fielded the ball, so Yuni should have been covering the base I guess. My point is that the runner never would have taken the base if it was being covered. This is what happens when you have people playing out of position.
  21. Sorry, I missed the game thread last night, but I have a question. On the throwing error charged to Weeks, whose responsibility should it have been to cover 3B? Based on what I saw, had there been a guy on 3B, the runner would have never tried to take the base and even if he did, Weeks would have at least had a non-moving target to throw to. Just my thoughts as a lonely Weeks apologist.
  22. A better comparison would be Braun since it would be comparing how the same organization deals with young talent. How long did I take the Brewers to lock up Braun for a few seasons? I could look it up, but I'm sure someone here knows it.
