  1. good run guys! When do quarterbacks and linebackers report?
  2. got an inkling that more walk(s) do in Knebel again tonight.
  3. Just spit my lemonade across the room. Well played Plush!
  4. Generally speaking, it's a big thumbs up for me. I live in Utah and subscribe to MLB.tv With that, I can count on about 15 games a year being blacked out, if I am at home. I travel for a living and regularly deal with blackouts if the Brewers are playing an opponent in my area. At home, I get blackouts for every Brewers vs Rockies and Diamondbacks games and then games when the Brewers are a nationally-televised contest. The Facebook feed has pleasant announcers, fresh content, less Bill Schroeder cliches. You do have to make sure that you are on the original feed. If so, I find no lagging. I have noticed several "dummy" feeds that like to run ads over the top of the re-broadcast. I also like the interactive content, but I do hide the comment bar because the answers scroll so fast, it's pointless to try and read them. I am hopeful that Facebook content model grows and extends to the NFL, as they have done with a single game a year. The sooner I can ditch Sunday Ticket, the happier I'll be.
  5. FWIW, MLB.com prediction says Happ to the Brewers for Burnes and Phillips. https://www.mlb.com/news/trade-deadline-predictions-for-machado-hamels/c-283816686?tid=282421090
  6. Don't understand Counsell's continued aversion to stealing a base in extras. Steal 2nd, then bunt him over to 3rd with the one out.
  7. I think we would have heard about someone being on the DL by now. Highly unlikely they could get someone to make it from a night game in Round Rock, Texas last night to an afternoon game in Cincinnati in time to start today. Procedural question...do they need to make it to the stadium in time to be eligible to substitute? Meaning, could they arrive in the 2nd inning and be inserted in the 8th, so long as they are on 25man by first pitch?
  8. I don't understand how Peralta hasn't earned his spot every 5th day at this point, atleast until Nelson returns. Yeah, the Twins game was a stinker, struggling with the 6 walks, but my goodness. Even if you have to limit his innings and skip some starts or something, this guy can help the team win without being a detriment to his future.
  9. Nailed it! Though I dont know why I thought the finale was a Sunday instead of Wednesday. :shrugs:
  10. Thought I read that Kershaw was going to remain out for a while
  11. Haven't seen these floating around very much anymore. But thought I would take a stab at June. @Chicago South (2-1) @Cleveland (1-1) @Philadelphia (2-1) vs Chicago North (0-3) Don't like Davies vs Quintana that will set the tone for the series. vs Philadelphia (2-1) @ Pittsburgh (2-0) w/ sunday rainout vs St. Louis (1-3) vs Kansas City (2-0) @ Cincinnati (2-1) Total 14-11 Overall 50-32 Cubs 19-9 over same stretch, lead at 1.5 going into July.
  12. Everybody regresses to the mean. A $90M payroll is what it is, no matter if they overachieve for a few months. See 2012, 2017, etc. We all know what it will look like come September 1 and September 28. Really solid argument. Payroll=Success. Nice comparisons too with very comparable payrolls. $116mil in 2012 and $64mil in 2017. Not into making a rational argument. Would prefer internet message board hyperbole.
  13. I think he had in 11 of last 16 AB's prior to that one?
  14. 9 outs in 20 pitches? Good grief. Really wanted to be in this ballgame tonight, given tomorrow starters.
  15. Everybody regresses to the mean. A $90M payroll is what it is, no matter if they overachieve for a few months. See 2012, 2017, etc. We all know what it will look like come September 1 and September 28. I guess you should just stop watching then. Team has no chance. They’re done before it starts. I watch, even when the plot and ending feels like a script I've read before.

  17. Can anybody tell me the last time the Brewers winning percentage was at .636?
  18. It's not that he gave up a run. It's that from every outing he had in this series, it was completely predictable. We freak out because he gave up 6 baserunners, 3-4 walks, multiple runs, blew a save, over his last 1 2/3 IP when other pitchers have not had these struggles. Bullpen roles are stupid in general, like you said. But Corey has no business pitching in a high leverage situation on a regular basis.
  19. Hanley Ramirez DFA'd to give Swihart more looks at 1b and AB's.
  20. JSONLINE Article: Aguilar reached out and poked a two-RBI single to put Milwaukee ahead to stay at 3-2. But the Brewers weren't finished. Shaw, up next, golfed a three-run homer out to right to double the lead at 6-2. Isn't there something grammatically untruthful about this? Wouldn't it quadruple the lead?
