  1. Don't forget the Yostian "we were one pitch away!" By the looks of things, this was another rough game. It's funny, just over a week ago talking heads on the radio were mentioning the Brewers as buyers. I was tempted to call in and give them the 17 reasons why the Brewers aren't buyers, but I think they showed all of those in this series, lol.
  2. I agree that would be pretty cool. Granted, the fact it is ridiculously easy to get from the stadium and out of the parking lot is a reward in itself. The way to quantify it would be something like if the Brewers are down by 7 or more runs in the 7th inning and you still stay for the entire game, you get a coupon for a free ice cream cone at McDonald's or something (since when the Brewers win, you win with McDonald's). They could call it the 7 in the 7th program. Just as a tie-in, I'm 7-8 on the year. 50 percent of my losses have been games Dave Bush (0-4) has pitched in. I'm 3-0 in Narveson starts, 2-2 Wolf, 2-1 Gallardo, 0-1 Davis.
  3. I'm sure they could put something in front of it, just like they have in front of the LED boards in left field. This looks like it will be pretty cool. The scoreboard badly needs updating just based on how wonky it acts at times.
  4. At least we've reached the point in the game where I laugh maniacally at every Giants run scored. Gomez's defense saves another run.
  5. It is apparent the Giants pity us, they are making no attempts to score at this point, yet we're forcing them to. The only thing they could do to not score is not swing.
  6. LOL, the Giants baserunners basically walked to advance their base on that wild pitch/passed ball. They apparently are trying to be classy.
  7. Braun back to batting third tonight. Maybe that means teams won't just pitch around Fielder to get to Braun.
  8. The beard is making a comeback on the Brewers. We have Epic Beard (Kottaras), Epic Beard II (Inglett), Hart, Bush, now Coffey. It's contagious!
  9. Well, Gomez's defense saves at least 2 runs. If that's Edmonds out there, those guys are running for a while. Granted, it's kind of like bailing out a flooded basement with a Dixie cup at this point, but I'll take what I can get.
  10. Well, if by some miracle Hart gets another at bat, we might actually have a chance to win the game.
  11. This defense is atrocious. Simply atrocious. Fundamentals of baseball DVD for everyone, lol.
  12. Warm day out at the ballpark today. Random tidbits: Escobar got some boos during his next at-bat after the error and getting picked off. The crowd decided it was more important to do the wave than to cheer during a tie game in the 6th inning where Sanchez had those two wild pitches. My personal favorite part of the game was watching Counsell warm up Bush after Lucroy made the last out in 5th inning. http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o254/gjenkins05/Pics/100_1351.jpg The error and gas can bullpen really took the life out of the stadium. Overall Bush pitched well. Sanchez had a terrible ball to strike ratio, but the Brewers could never make him pay for it. Yo was milling around in the dugout, as was Jody Gerut. Just one of those days where you gotta say get 'em tomorrow.
  13. That is awesome. Jenks was always one of my favorite Brewers. He ended up getting a World Series ring and now will retire a Brewer, that is pretty sweet.
  14. Dave, you've been the pitcher of record in 43% of the losses I've seen in person this year. Let's not improve that to 50% today. It is going to be a scorcher today, hopefully the roof stays open and the rain holds off.
  15. "They had to tell me something was wrong with Gallardo" ... way to be attentive, Ken. He claimed he was writing something down and missed what happened. He also said they're not going to speculate until Gallardo sees Raasch tomorrow.
  16. Macha did jog out there after Weeks got tossed, but that was after the fact. That said, it was the fastest I've ever seen Macha move.
  17. "Prince has done a nice job defending first base this season" ... not so much Craig, not so much. At least Weeks and Gallardo were backing up on that, or it could have been worse.
  18. Thankfully Hart was picked by the players, so it didn't come down to Manuel having to pick him. I'm guessing Bourn's former Phillies connections helped him, that and the fact the Astros are terrible. The only other guys who could have been "pity picks" were Pence and Lindstrom.
  19. McCutchen probably was left off because they needed to take an Astro, and powerhouse dynamo Michael Bourn was too tempting to pass on.
  20. One thing I thought of is that it is likely Heyward won't play since he is on the DL. It would be kind of cool if both Braun and Hart started. According to an article on MLB.com Heyward will be replaced by the top OF vote getter on the player ballot. That means it will either be Hart, Holliday, or Byrd.
