  1. It is the equivalent of your starting pitcher giving up a grand slam in the first inning. Not insurmountable, but it typically takes some hard work and a little bit of luck. As TLB said, the US played a pretty poor half. Findley needs to score that goal. Altidore has been basically non-existent after showing signs of life against Algeria. Ghana could easily have one or two more goals had they not made a few mistakes and some good saves by Howard.
  2. Time for the US team to step up. Hopefully they don't pull a Narv-dog and go down early.
  3. Hey Randy, how about you hang around long enough for the people who are going to watch the World Cup game to still see you. A repeat of your last two starts would be appreciated. Brewers, as hawing would say, lets go 1-0 on June 26, 2010.
  4. Good game last night. Narveson did a good job limiting the damage after giving up 6 straight baserunners to open the game. It was sweltering in the stadium and was about 50/50 Brewers/Twins fans. 36,000+ on a Tuesday night made for a lively crowd.
  5. Dear Brewers, I don't feel all that well, yet I will be at Miller Park in the heat rooting you on. Please reward my fandom with a win. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  6. I only stopped listing songs because I had to go to work! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif To add to my list, I'd go B.o.B - Airplanes, Part II; Dr. Dre - Still D.R.E.; Evanescence - Bring me to Life; Juvenile - Set It Off; Westside Connection - Get Ignit. That's 10. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
  7. I'd probably end up with 7 rotating at-bat songs like Mike Cameron. Those would include: Gang Starr - Battle, Three 6 Mafia - Some Bodies Gonna Get It, Baby - What Happened to That Boy, Alter Bridge - Metalingus, and We Are The Fallen - Tear The World Down.
  8. Yay, a win! I was listening to the radio broadcast pretty much the entire game. Failure after failure after failure to score runs didn't come back to haunt us today. Hooray, Brewers!
  9. I wish we could play small ball like that. Nice play on the squeeze.
  10. Just win, baby? McCalvy tweeted Coshun will be in the booth tonight as BA is ill with the flu.
  11. I had the opportunity to use the phrase "zim-zam" today, as in "your performance has placed me in a zim-zam." However, I did not. I just laughed to myself and used work-appropriate language instead. LOL
  12. Hey Dave, pitching with a big lead is okay. No need to feel like you have to even things up. SoCal, Catcher's interference should not count against a hitter as even though it is an error, it does not count as an official at-bat.
  13. Indeed. Showing up a division rival is not classy. I'd still like to see how Suppan shapes up against a better hitting team. He'll get either Oakland or Toronto in his next start, with Toronto having the advantage of using the DH.
  14. People are more interested in doing the wave than seeing Chris Smith work his way out of this jam. Seeing the results, I don't blame them.
  15. I'm on my way out to the stadium now. I'm 5-6 in games attended this year, lets make that an even .500 boys! Go Yo!
  16. After watching so many baseball games in HD, the WMLW feed appears brutal. If you're not used to HD you won't notice much of a difference, but if you are it is usually a "gah!" moment.
  17. Robin19 beat me to the Stanton balk-off. That is probably one of my favorite rare moments that I've seen.
  18. Liking Lucroy starting three straight. Lets hope good Parra shows up again. Lets clinch a winning homestand tonight!
  19. The Brewers finally put Inglett's music on the website. It only took two months, lol. I was somewhat disappointed to find it was a Mystikal song, but it is good to know none the less.
  20. Yeah hawing, I saw I had video evidence of the trivia question and that's why I posted it. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I didn't even realize how big of a fail it was, I was too busy watching the game/taking pictures. lol I also have further evidence of how big of a dude Loe is: http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o254/gjenkins05/Pics/100_0596.jpg
  21. The triple play trivia fail was epic. The crazy dancing dude on the dance cam was pretty awesome, though. Narv-dog did a good job tonight. I took a bunch more pictures, some turned out better than others. The transition to night at Miller Park is really pretty when the roof is open. http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o254/gjenkins05/Pics/100B0416.jpg http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o254/gjenkins05/Pics/100_0548.jpg
  22. The whole "luck of the draw" policy for autographs is kind of frustrating. Granted, it covers the Brewers in case someone can't make it at the last minute, etc., but it would be pretty frustrating to pick a station and wait in line for four hours for say, Chris Smith, while Ryan Braun is signing at the table next to you and you can't move even though you'd have been within the first 150 patrons for that station. Granted, casual fans might not care and the Block Parties are now being geared towards them, but for most people I think they'd find it more "cool" or exciting to meet a bigger name player or someone they specifically want and get their autograph, regardless of what they'd do with it. I don't sell my stuff, I just like being able to meet different players just to show some appreciation. They'd be better off having everyone line up in one mega line, then once everyone gets there saying "these are the people who are here" and going through the line and handing out wristbands for who people choose. Ah well, it was nice while it lasted.
  23. It is hot and sticky tonight, just the kind of night where balls fly out of Miller Park. Narv-dog needs to avoid the big fly. I'm at the game, go Brewers!
