  2. Buster Olney says the Mets have moved on to Chad Cordero, as they feel getting Gagne isn't going to happen.
  3. stlouis.cardinals.mlb.com...p&c_id=stl The link for the Cardinals site.
  4. Most surprising: Braun and Villanueva. Most disappointing: Weeks and Suppan. I never would have expected the numbers Braun or Villa have put up. Villa has been an extremely important part of our bullpen, and I don't even want to imagine our offense without Braun. Weeks has had a terrible year, and Suppan has been below average even though I didn't expect all that much from him.
  5. Also, if there is no Brewers IGT on Tuesday, the non-Brewers aka Cubs IGT should also not exist. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  6. Also his propensity to swing at everything that bounces before it gets to the plate. LOL
  7. Of course this would happen to be the week I have tickets for two Brewers games including Tuesday http://www.redszone.com/forums/images/smilies/banghead.gif. Since we're going to be at home we'll probably put up a decent homestand, but the first road game after we should consider doing this again if it works well Tuesday. Or maybe we should just go with the "think pink" theme for every road game.
  8. 11 runs on Jason Jennings, that has to all but kill any of his trade value. Talk about selling low if they do trade him. lol
  9. Reverse psychology works again! I love complaining only to be shut up. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  10. Our hitters need to close their eyes and imagine the bases are empty when we have runners in scoring position. Our situational hitting has been fairly putrid all year.
  11. Ryan Braun is a stud, and is willing to say what needs to be said even though rookies are supposed to be seen and not heard.
  12. I had a lot of time to think about this at work after I found out we lost after being up 6-0 http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif . I agree with the comments Cordero is just regressing to the mean of the 3.30 ERA pitcher he's been throughout his career. It's too bad this year couldn't be his outlier year. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif Cordero is what he is, ultimately he will be fine. Everything this team does right now is magnified because the Cubs have forgotten how to lose. Hopefully at some point they will regress to the mean too.

  14. RHP Claudio Vargas (8-2, 4.47) vs. LHP Mike Maroth (5-5, 5.82) Starting for the Brewers, right hander Claudio Vargas is coming off one of his better performances of the season, giving up 3 runs in 6 innings of work while receiving a win. Starting for the Cardinals, left hander Mike Maroth is coming off of a dismal performance in which the Atlanta Braves hung 10 runs on him in 5 innings. Maroth's previous start wasn't much better, as he gave up 8 runs (6 earned) in 5 innings. Hey, Maroth is left handed. Sweet. Mike, meet Ryan Braun. http://graphics.jsonline.com/graphics/photographer/96/9638_large.jpg Be a go getta, Ryan! Feel free to lock this if Woogie makes a thread. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  15. http://www.jsonline.com/graphics/sports/brew/img/may06/brew0517.jpg It's time to get hot, Geoff.

  18. http://pics.forecaster.ca/mlb-player/0596.gif He gave us a reason to watch when there wasn't much of one. http://espndeportes.espn.go.com/2003/photos2004/0516/a_sheets_ben_vt.jpg All the good karma from this thread will bring this guy back in time to finish off the Cubs.
  19. http://graphics.jsonline.com/graphics/sports/brew/img/apr04/ford409.jpg http://www2.jsonline.com/sports/brew/image/1999/may/raf514.jpg I hope this helps. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif
  20. 1. Brandon Phillips 2. Any player that beats the Brewers and sucks against everyone else 3. Kip Wells 4. Jack Wilson 5. Ben Ford/Grant Balfour/Jose Capellan/Insert name of terrible Brewers reliever here I am pretty fickle with this list, people get on it and off of it routinely. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  21. I hereby request you to DFA all thoughts of today's debacle and enjoy the rest of your birthday! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif
  22. I am venting because I'm so disappointed I can't even put together a good vent. When our pitching shows up, our offense is missing. When the offense shows up, the pitching falters. We can't get any breaks to go our way, the Cubs have completely forgotten how to lose, and there are no guarantees the trends will reverse themselves. We still have a long way to go, but after our start if we are sitting home in early October I will be greatly disappointed. Even so, we need to play better on the road down the stretch or we won't see the championship series anyway.
  23. I love reverse psychology. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
