A guy on the radio from Stubhub said you most likely won't be able to get a WS series for less that $600 on the secondary market.

Even if the Brewers fall to 2 GB after tonight, I still don't think it's time to panic until they are mathematically eliminated. There's a good chance the Brewers take 2 of 3 from Detroit and I think there's a decent chance that STL can take 2 of 3 from the Cubs. -
I hope Suter is still in the dugout next year. The guy is funny, keeps it loose. The big league club version of Tim Dillard.

I hope the Brewers put in a waiver claim on Murphy. That'll be the topper to how this season is going down.

Managing the bullpen is probably the toughest job a manager has, especially in the NL. At least 25x a year a manager is going to get called out for mismanagement of the bullpen. With that said, there have got to be some cracks in the armor surrounding CC from the way Sterns is looking at this as if CC is the guy that can lead this team to the next level. There have a been a few really bad ones this year, but tonight is a real head scratcher on what he was thinking. No reason in a 1 run game that Hader, Jeffress, and Burnes are all sitting on the bench the whole night in a game that is basically a playoff game. Teams don't always let on when players are unavailable for various reasons, but if all those guys are unavailable the day after a day off-well, then I guess we should just start looking at next year.

I like Plesac, I think he brings some good energy and good analysis. I just have to prepare myself to hear the term "Brew Crew" about 1000x.

If you’re going to go straight by the stats, Arcia never starts another game for us. The point was to bring him back up and stabilize our IF and let him hopefully continue his hot stretch from AAA. Being on the bench doesn’t allow this to happen. If he’s not going to at least start against LHP, then put him back in AAA and be done with it. Not many playoff teams have guys hitting under .200 in the lineup at all. I get they want to keep Arcia's confidence up, but at some point they are just gonna need to pull the plug on him for this year or just admit he's only being kept for late inning defensive purposes with an occasional spot start. Otherwise, just send him back to AAA. My thinking is that unless Arcia gets hot(and soon), Schoop is going to play the majority of SS.

Only went 3 IP. Probably a good bet he's coming up.

Davies is hurt and I'd be surprised to see him make a meaningful impact for more than 2-3 starts in a row for the rest of the year, if he even gets that far. I like what Davies brings to the table, but when these issues come up -for any pitcher, I just don't see it for him this year.

Sogard and Houser Up, Arcia and Lopez to AAA

I don't understand what the infatuation with Sogard is. It's not like he went to AAA and righted the ship for himself. I get sending Arcia down so he can figure things out. The timing isn't terrible since Saladino is hitting for now. -

This is a very good, very well reasoned post... but this is the In-Game thread so we’re going to need you to pick one end of the emotional spectrum and practice some irrational fervor. They suck. Little league homerun BS.

I'm guilty of this as well, but I always find it amazing at how down we can get as fans and how high we can get literally minutes later knowing this game is a game of failure and the highs and lows that go with it. I love it. The best thing is there are 162 games. A team can look terrible for 2 games and the world is gonna end. A team can sweep a 3 game series and we're WS contenders. It's awesome.

Collapsed after throwing a pitch. Immediately grabbed his left hamstring and couldn't put any weight on his leg leaving the game.

Thames hit .210 last year in the leadoff spot, and his OPS wasn't that great. He hit .259 in the #2 hole with obviously a better OPS. Why is CC trying to force him into being a leadoff guy? I'm assuming he doesn't think he has options. However, I like Cain in the leadoff spot for now, unless someone else steps up. I'm gonna assume CC knows A LOT more about it than I do and over the next 4-6 weeks he's going to figure out where guys best fit in the lineup, but it sure is frustrating right now with how this lineup has been set up on a few of these games. This is my optimistic appraisal of the situation considering this roster is not ideal. With that said, this type of game isn't going to happen too often this year with this roster(I'm really hoping I'm right about that).

In 2011 the game was basically a 7 inning game with KRod and Axeford at the back end of the game. I honestly think they could make these 6 inning games with the current bullpen. But at this point, getting to those guys doesn't look like it's gonna be that easy.
