  1. Jumping for that line drive, Ueck said he wasn't even sure if Graffy could walk off on his own.
  2. Well get set to welcome Rickie Weeks back, as Ueck made it sound like Graffy turned his ankle pretty bad, and didn't even think he could walk off the field. Not that Graffy's an all-star, but man when it rains it sure pours.
  3. How many days was Bill Hall off for Ann?
  4. So what does that mean? Your last chance doesn't mean squat. Let Ned do his job. http://static.yuku.com/v2//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/tongue.gif haiku Wow; that's not rude at all, so do we only care about half the comments made directly at people now? Pretty sure I said tonight is my last chance for myself, I am a Ned supporter all the way.
  5. It's time for Cappy to man up. If he plans on being around for the great years to come, it's time to come to play. 0-13 since May isn't cutting it, I will proclaim for myself that tonight is my "last chance" for Cappy.
  6. I think Spurling has pitched his way on to a spot as well. As much as many dislike him on this board, he has done quite a job overal this season.
  7. I think that's a great idea Chez, at this point, what do they have to lose?
  8. Not to mention if he got flat out sent down to AAA it would do even further mental damage. Weeks is a different scenario as he needs to just relax his approach and use the tools he knows he has. Wiser on the other hand has to take a mental vacation and learn to trust his stuff again.
  9. Family Guy not having a new episode in what seems like 8 years.
  10. I just need to say that I have lived in St. Louis, and attended games, and they are terribly boring, and the fans seem as if they could take naps when they are there. They are far from the best fans in baseball, they are arrogant. "Baseball Heaven" is a joke, the announced 41,000 a game is a joke, they average an actual of roughly 25-30,000.
  11. I wasn't speaking to just "Ned Bashers," but rather the many people who are now going to MP with no clue what's even going on, or are calling into the post game shows to whine and complain about Ned blowing a game, when they can't even come up with a situation where he faltered. I've even heard people say they wanted Dessens to get another fair shot in clutch situations. It's just getting old. And furthermore, "winning baseball" does not have to be over a span of multiple seasons. It's still August, they still have a 1 game lead, and that's something we haven't seen in a long time. To me, and many, a team in first place approaching mid August, is playing "winning baseball." You can play winning baseball over the span of a week, month, season, or multiple seasons.
  12. After listening to the post game show, and hearing everything turn into something about Yost, which it always does, I had a few thoughts... --If you are that unhappy, and hate him that much, stop going to the games. Nobody wants to hear everyone whine and complain, and personally it was much more enjoyable when there was only 20,000 going to games. --If I was Ned, I'd say screw this. Much of Milwaukee has handled winning baseball horribly. The man can do no right, why would anyone want to hang around and put up with that garbage. You can't even have a thread on this message board, or listen to any sports radio without something anti-Yost coming up. --I'm so sick of these new fickle fans who don't even understand baseball. I used to love the Usingers baseball post game show, but now I can't even stand to turn it on. It's really a shame how all this has gone down, is the world really THAT unhappy of a place?
  13. Amen Brian, couldn't have put it better myself.
  14. There is nothing wrong with Wise going out to pitch with a 5 run lead. You can't just take a go to guy and shut him down to scrub time. As soon as he messed up Ned went and got him. I am not upset at Wise, but I sure wish CoCo wasn't struggling so bad right now
  15. Oh, and the HDNet channel where all these beautiful ladies wear just bikinis isn't bothering me either.
  16. I agree pogokat, however what made me laugh was the Jimmy Kimmel adjusted video. It's hilarious, not sure if anyone saw it, but just hilarious.
  17. Any way to see the picture of Prince with the sausages?
  18. I was thinking the same thing Brett, I would like to think that if there were a night to give it a shot, it should be against a lefty. However, I then thought about how I don't want Prince's bat out of the lineup against Hamels, so I'm really at a toss up right now.
  19. I just have a time for the last post. I am unable to see who actually made the last post, and I'm using Firefox. Not sure if that has anything to do with it?
  20. I for one don't understand how some on here as well as the 1250 postgame show can sit and continue to pin stuff on Ned. There are many reasons why, and I'd like to list a few of them here, as I truly believe this altercation was a good thing. --Estrada is a clubhouse cancer, the guy is with his 4th team in 7 seasons. There is a reason that organizations keep passing on a .300 hitting catcher, obviously character is one of them. --"Key contributors" hitting .245 & .212, a power bat with 9 home runs and only 42 driven in --4 of your 5 starting pitchers with an ERA over 4.70. --The absolute collapse of the back end of the bullpen. July ERA's for CoCo's at 4.66, Turnbow at 6.10, and Villanueva at 6.75 All in all, it was time for some type of venting/blow out session. This one just happened to be in the dugout and get caught on camera. I find it hard to believe that all this blame could be placed on Ned, and this thread would turn into something about firing him and keeping Estrada. I know it's like a swear word on the board to criticize Melvin, but remind me what bat he added at the deadline to help an offense that can't score after the 4th inning? He has forced Ned's hand to be that of guys producing like Weeks, Jenkins, Suppan, Vargas, Mench, Counsell, and Graffanino. To me, before everyone goes jumping on the managers throat take a step back and look at the whole picture.
  21. I think the Brewers CAN win the division if a couple of things happen... -- Vargas needs to be replaced. This is not a knee jerk reaction to last night, it's a fact that he's taxed our bullpen every fifth day since April. If they are worried about protecting young arms then split the starts up between Yo and Parra. -- They can't sit around and wait for Cappy to "snap out of it." He's had two good starts since May, if he lays another egg here, you need to think about shaking something up. -- The offense needs to find the ability to ADD on runs later on in the game. I really think this is a big key to the remainder of the season. -- Sheets obviously has to make it back by Sept. 1st. If I'm not mistaken, if he's not off the DL by September 1, isn't there some restriction for the playoff roster? Just curious if anyone can help me with that. Overall, I think they are more than capable of winning the division, the Cubs will cool off eventually, it's just taking longer than we all had thought. Pressure if off, it's time to get it done, and I think they all know that. I say Crew by 3.5
  22. As am I, seems to be much more user friendly. Are you guys/gals (Mods) sticking with the same color schemes and such? Or are you going to be exploring all that goodness as well as the site moves forward (not that there's anything wrong, just didn't know if there were more options or something http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif )
  23. After Sunday, I felt that a majority of people on this board would benefit from an extra day off, and it would give the mods a much needed break I'm cool with whatever is happening either way, but I think this is kind of a bogus statement. It is always asked by you guys for us to show respect to others, yet you have the ability to determine whether or not I would benefit from a day off? Rather than trying to limit literally hundreds of peoples interest in tonights game, wouldn't it just be easier for who ever wanted to take a break to just stay away? Again, I'm down with whatever the going rate is, I just think locking threads, and telling people what they can/cannot do is not the right way to go about it.
  24. Ugh, I knew that. Mental error, thanks for the correction!
  25. He hit Pedro Feliz in the face. I believe it was Feliz anyway? Regardless, it broke his cheek bone and there was blood everywhere, Wiser was pretty shaken up by it I think.
