too bad Sutton wasn't saying 299 in reference to someones potential batting average (aside from Lyle Overbay) it's been a tough month for Milwaukee.....August is just around the corner though
well it's not as cool as a sweep...but a split will work at Wrigley that play by Jenkins was really cool...he just aired the thing back to first way to rally around late in the game to put some runs on the board and Mike Adams really pitched himself out of a possible jam fun win
you never like to see a guy go down with an injury but now I can stop pulling for a high pitch count to get the man out of the game earlier than he should put it to 'em Brewers
Wow, big props to Ben...should be fun seeing him in a relaxed format before things get a little more pressure packed for him heading into a pennate race. if he's anything like his bio says though a playoff race is something he'd relish
I must admit when the Crew took Grant Richardson I was scratching my head...I think prooving me wrong is his unknown motive. He's doing a tremendous job though...way to go GR. Our Notre Dame buddy is hitting well at 2nd base also
I think Yo was a tremendous pickup in the 2nd round but if he wasn't there I would have really looked hard at B.J. Szymanski...even though Milwaukee has a CF in every affilaiate it seems, this kid has TOOLS and STATS...he's one I'll be watching for only going two picks after our guy no regets though...none at all
awsome sweep...awsome awsome job http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif these wins were BIG for the Brewers confidence and maybe...just maybe...Geoff Jenkins saw the ball tonight which can only be a good thing
the best young pitcher in baseball gets beat by a minor league free agent Victor "I don't need no stinkin' nicname" Santos is awsome...flat out awsome Great win Crew http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
great game by Sheets...lets see this bullpen close it out for him smart call to take him out by the way, no need to pull a Baker and over exhaust a great young arm
we just went on an emotional roller coaster where we were 7 games above .500 to losing 4 in a row against a last place team (albeit a good/hot last place team). We were "basking in the glory" as one thread would have it 4 days ago. That was a big time high in Brewers rescent history. 7 games over .500...WOW. Then one bad game turns into 4 bad games...even though it was only a sweep and 4 games...it feels like we fell a lot farther than we did. 4 games, thats it...it happens Just like this team went from GREAT to POOR...they can go from POOR to GREAT
this team has been very consistant this year like it was pointed out above... no excuses, go into tommorow's game and win...don't worry about splitting the series, just win tommorow and go on from there
things are going to get better....the sun's going to shine again!!! it happens, Pittsburg is just playing fantastic ball right now by sweeping the first place Cards and now dealing the Crew two losses. This team has two games until Chicago...here's hoping they forget this Friday and go into the next game....I guess the goood thing about losing two games in one day is that you only have to relive it for one night. Saturday will bring new (recycled) light again hopefully
Overbay with a double...who would've thunk it just give it a little tap--tap--taparoo Brewers...that lead will get smaller and smaller as the game goes on
boy we might as well throw in the towel...its not like there are 6 innings left show a little faith everyone http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif ...this team has made bigger comebacks this year
Jenks deserves a break...lets hope that Ginter can roam the outfield like a pro...this sure could sure up our right field situation http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I was thinking that maybe Overbay could slide to the OF and Grieve to first base but this makes a heck of a lot more sense. Ginter gets at bats and we find a RF w/o trade/promotion.... this could be a very good deal
Im starting both guys on my fantasy baseball team but Im secretly hoping that Loiaza gives me a HUGE start and Oswalt falters. its so cool actually caring about other teams games at this time of year with ambitions of moving up in the standings.
A lot of people think the MLB team is carrying too many pitchers therfor a demotion might be in order, thats one starting pitcher and I think a few guys at AA are looking for promotions (Saenz/Houseman) so there are 2 more that could be in the AAA staff. Jorge just needs a confidence booster and what a better time than the present
