  1. 1 night away wont kill ya. Spending tonight with the Brewers was a mistake. I was flipping between the two games -- all of the good energy I felt from the Packer game completely disappeared when the Brewers (Torres) blew the game. Only twenty more games. I won't make the same mistake next Sunday.
  2. I'm going to look at this optimistically, after a good hour and a half of anger/depression: -As previously stated, the 3 game lead is the same as it was on August 10. We shaved a month off the season and kept the same lead. -If things go perfectly, the Brewers win their next two and the Marlins steal two in Philadelphia. The lead is then 5.0 games and the # is 12. If we split the Philadelphia series, the lead is still 5.0 and our # is 8 -- assuming the Cubs show up to play against St. Louis. Pretty darn manageable with 2 weeks remaining.
  3. If we blow this, we need to send a petition signed by the users here to get somebody fired. It'll make me feel a lot better about this impending debacle. Hey, it could be worse -- they could be doing this two weeks from now!
  4. Fielder has been silent. Counsell is still in the starting lineup. Ned allows Kendall and Counsell to bat trailing by one in the 9th. The bullpen sucks. The offense is in a deep sleep. Just make it stop. Panic ... more anger, though.
  5. I'm actually incredibly calm. I am too. I'm just exasperated. Why was I chosen to be a fan of this inept, pathetic franchise?
  6. Kendall? Really, Ned? His HR was an aberration. That's what you need now! I'm so done if they blow it this year.
  7. We absolutely cannot afford to keep losing, guys. Torres took a dump tonight.
  8. Get somebody working, Ned. NOW!
  9. Oh please don't blow this one Torres. Just don't do this to me
  10. If Dave can bring this mojo with him on Saturday, I like our chances. Solid, solid performance.
  11. Volquez is getting Dusty'd. He's in excess of 120 pitches already, I believe. That's totally unnecessary for them.
  12. Philadelphia is in the driver's seat tonight. A Brewers win would be big tonight
  13. And I was just complaining about his lack of power today. Nice. His next HR: June 2, 2009
  14. Sorry, but Corey Hart has been absolutely useless lately.
  15. Let's just win 10-2. We need one of those ... a big win would be a stress reduction.
  16. http://www.allpartyideas.com/images/sweet16.jpg It's been a rough week -- this one will be better.
  17. It should be Lou Pinella. Hands down. He doesn't even know the difference between Cincinnati and Pittsburgh. Apparently, he got lost and drove all the way across Ohio by accident. Hee hee. How does one not realize that he is driving in western Pennsylvania when he should be driving through central/southern Indiana? I know that it's supposed to be funny, but man, that sure does make he and Sinatro look dumb.
  18. Two Terrace Reserved tickets for Wednesday, September 24...434, Row 8, Seats 6 + 7. If you're lucky, this may be a clincher! I'm looking for $10 for the pair, or another reasonable offer. PM if interested
  19. The Saturday, September 20 game between the Brewers and Reds has been shifted from 6:10 pm to 2:55 pm on FOX, per the Brewers website. Cardinals-Cubs and Twins-Rays were the other two games selected for the switch. I'd expect the 9/27 Cubs/Brewers game to be shifted, as well. http://milwaukee.brewers....hedule/index.jsp?c_id=mil
  20. If we make the playoffs and Ned brings Gagne in to a tight game, I'm going to throw heavy things across the room Am I the only one here who is certain that will happen? Gagne is Ned's guy and that won't change until Gagne takes himself out the role himself or until the season is finished. when all it really was is simple odds, any big league relief pitcher who pitches enough will have some innings without giving up a run. So true. Look at his outing on Tuesday night. The Mets torched Gagne. Fortunately for him, they hit them right at our outfielders. Has his proclivity for surrendering HRs completely escaped Ned?
  21. This entire team needs to wake up early tomorrow, board a crappy school bus, and do laps at a local high school. CC Sabathia is exempt. Yeah, they won, but this one was downright excrutiating. Happy 3000th win!
  22. Search online -- I've used milwaukeejobs.com. Be sure to put your name out there and see if anything sticks. Maybe you look for an on-campus job at UWM? There are tons of opportunities for student on campus.
  23. anyone know if 9-pack holders can enter? As long as you have a valid email address, you can enter. The lottery is for everybody.
  24. OKC was kind of in a bind because they're really not known for anything nationally, other than being "that state above Texas Unfortunately, they're probably most known for what happened on April 19, 1995. At least that's what I'll always connect to OKC. I have concerns about the viability of a franchise in Oklahoma City. Yes, the fans came out in droves when the Hornets needed refuge, but the Sonics ... Thunder ... are not a good team. Do you think the NBA regrets moving to Memphis? Their attendance was near the bottom last year. David Stern had his heart set on OKC; time will tell if it was a wise idea.
