  1. Finally, all three of Cain, Lucroy, and Green are in the lineup together in Huntsville. Only 3 1/2 months later than we hoped!
  2. How about the other way. Let's say there are 1 million Brewer fans. 1M * .15 = 150,000 * .6 = 90000! Holy crap, there are 90,000 regular posters in this forum?
  3. Yikes, that's a surprise. Hopefully a fresh start next year is just what he needs.
  4. Anundsen is the TBD for Brevard.
  5. Colby's profile of Wooten from last year's draft thread:
  6. Yikes, Steve Moss is playing CF for Clinton.
  7. Wow, is that really Josh Butler starting for Nashville tonight? Did I miss something?
  8. According to Kevin Goldstein in today's Monday Ten Pack:
  9. No Hurricane in the Sounds lineup tonight. He seems like the obvious choice to take Rickie's spot with the big club. Edit: He did eventually pinch hit though, so if he is going to come up, he isn't on the way just yet.
  10. Actually, this is the third time Gillespie has played the outfield this year. He played out there two days in a row sometime last week.
  11. Cain and Green officially replacing Brantley and Gamel in the AFL, according to brewers.com From the article: "Brantley was supposed to represent the Brewers in the Arizona Fall League, but now Lorenzo Cain will go. Green will also be there as a replacement for injured third-base prospect Mat Gamel (right elbow), Melvin said."
  12. Baseball Prospectus Joe Posnanski Fire Joe Morgan Minor League Ball MLB Trade Rumors Brew Crew Ball I have 10 or 15 others in my Google Reader, but those are my favorites, especially Posnanski and FJM.
  13. http://images.yuku.com/image/pjpeg/35f15a9b70f7f4aa57f47228d3edf1c7600a7bc.pjpg
  14. Not to mention Efrain Nieves, Wily Peralta, Cody Adams, Cutter Dykstra, Eric Komatsu, and Shawn Zarraga to name a few. It should be a solid team, at least prospect-wise.
  15. Until Salome, Lucroy, or Fryer have actually SOLVDD our catching WOAHs, and become our starting catcher, I think we need to see how Lawrie handles catching. Unless they decide to move him somewhere else on the diamond, or if he is much better than advertised defensively as a catcher, I think he'll start the year in EST. If he does well there, he could be pushed directly to Appleton in May or June, like Jeffress last year, but I think it more likely he'll at least spend part of the year in Helena. Hopefully Zarraga will be the starter in low-A to start next year, but if Lawrie is instead, I won't exactly be complaining, I'll just be making the trip to Appleton more often.
  16. Thankfully, the combination of his being just 19 and the Giants organization being pretty conservative about promoting players has kept him in Augusta all summer. Conor Gillaspie begs to differ.
  17. Or check out this extremely in-depth scouting report from early June.
  18. Are we talking best ever or best right now? If it's best right now, these two need a mention, along with a ton already mentioned (Charlie from It's Always Sunny is who I model my life after, by the way) http://byfiles.storage.msn.com/x1pPHu2K6HCG6oGs6tiw9z8vmAUvfPXj2YG7eRdAPu1rkaOFsL1keK9Tmu5l-Cfw-Ps0RtcS9-PYjg70guDU74hvsPJ9nnpIIe74tBWyXqvd75ROoC7GnZNxA
  19. Exactly what And That said, but with names changed for 3B.
  20. Eric Fryer just hit for the cycle! 17-1 Power in the eighth!
  21. If he can continue dominating until the next P50, he should get some very serious consideration, as well as a promotion to Nashville.
  22. Brett went 0-4 against the US Olympic team in Durham, NC, in the US team's final game before the Olympics. The US team doesn't play again until the 13th in China, so if the Canadian team has a similar layoff, I would imagine Brett will be in Milwaukee for contract talks for the next few days. Edit: maybe not. I just checked the Canadian team's schedule on the Baseball Canada site, and the team is supposed to be leaving for Beijing today. I have no idea how Brett could get a contract signed by the deadline, unless we send someone to China.
  23. Lucroy shows up on BP's Future Shock: Monday Ten Pack (subscription required). Of course, they list him as MATT Lucroy, but still, he's there. To sum up: he raked in Helena last year, but college guys are expected to. To start this year, he raked in WV, but was old for the league. Now, he's raking in Brevard, and has thrown out 20 of 34 basestealers. The last sentence of the paragraph only tells the masses what we already knew: "He's now one of the better catching prospects in the game, so pay attention."
