I know they have to put on the bright optimistic garbage but no, Craig, Lauer doesn't have a ton of upside. Even in the draft everyone was like this is a back-end starter that can get to the majors quickly.

If Cain stayed as close to as hot as he was at the plate to start the year, and he eliminated the need for all the pathetic Peterson at bats, I’d say that’s worth at least 3 wins. Peterson - .346 wOBA, 115 wRC+ Yelich - .347 wOBA, 115 wRC+

I think the plan was get Votto out. Sort of pitch around Suarez and/or see if he gets himself out and then get Moustakas. Plan obviously changed with no ability to have a backup plan when Votto reached. That's why I don't really want Claudio on the team. He's way too specialized where everything has to go perfectly for him to be usable.

Hiura struck out over 30% of the time last year. I don't know why anyone is surprised he's striking out a ton this year.
