  1. If only these scrubs would learn to hit 98 with 90 mph sliders. Well, it is their job, so... I mean, it's the pitcher's job to get them out too. There's a reason strikeouts have been up every year since 2005 and records have been set every year since 2006. The harder they throw, the less time hitters have to react. When you have to make a decision on whether to swing a split second quicker, you're a lot more likely to swing at pitches that aren't strikes or just miss pitches that are just because of the pure stuff of pitchers now.

  3. They can't help themselves from falling.
  4. I could care less but the OP really should've done his do diligence before hitting submit.
  5. In 2000 Halladay posted a 10.64 ERA (48 ERA+) in 67 IP then followed it up with a 3.16 ERA (145 ERA+) over 105 IP in 2001. Almost 100 points of ERA+ is a pretty crazy swing, but still pales in comparison to Burnes going from a 50 ERA+ last year to a 258 ERA+ so far this year. Even more crazy to me when you consider how little Burnes changed. I thought with Halladay they broke down his delivery and re-worked it. With Burnes, unless I'm mistaken, it's more about his pitch selection and just a mental break. I mean he changed the type of fastball he threw and added a pitch that is one of the best pitches in the majors in an offseason. That's more than pitch selection and a mental break.
  6. He's been awful since he was hired. Surprised he's still the head coach.
  7. This might be a Devin Williams situation where he has 18 K/9 in his two innings yesterday and his K/9 goes down. We score 42 points today and our PPG goes down.
  8. These drops are annoying.
  9. The Reds have 5 runs on 1 hit. I actually had to fully open up the box score to make sure they actually only had one hit.
  10. To be fair, if you took away those 3 picks he'd be a really solid 6-17 for 59 yards.
  11. Really solid play by Rodgers taking that sack knowing the Lions would commit a dumb personal foul penalty to back themselves up and Sullivan would make a good read for a pick 6. Much better than a field goal attempt.
  12. The hold has to occur in the end zone for it to be a safety.
  13. It wasn't a bad choice. He was open, just a terrible throw.
  14. If we can't stop them on 3rd and 25, just forfeit.
  15. How short is his leash in Dallas? Two years? Three sausage links. Because he ate 15 already.
  16. Settling for field goals is a loss too.
  17. It's only illegal touching if the lineman catches it.
  18. Did people actually think it was? It's been clear for a while that Rodgers dicking around at the line was the reason for like 99% of our timeouts.
  19. Our last tight end couldn't move and our new tight ends can't catch, so that's great.
  20. It's not like the pass defense offered up any resistance. Stafford was 3-3 for 40 yards.
  21. Not as depressing as watching our defense.
  22. How much does that roster cost? Figure it out yourself, Andy.
  23. Royals aren't very smart are they? Guy gets hit with a 95 mph pitch right on the knee and he tries to steal.
  24. We have a Tom at work that insists on going by "Tommy." A girl in one of my math groups in high school called me Petey and I had no reaction to it. She asked if it bothered me (in a way that made it seem like it should bother me) and I'm like nobody calls me that but call me whatever you want, I don't give a damn.
