  1. Right, he can just talk and tell stories. Yeah, wouldn't need to hear the count or the score or really anything that's happening in the game. Just watch the game and listen to a fun grandpa tell stories.
  2. Can we just have Uecker do the TV broadcast from now on? The biggest complaint about him would disappear if he did.
  3. I hereby nominate a picture of Tim Dillard dressed like a priest. They already have a perfectly fine mascot in the Ballapeño
  4. If Villar did that there would've been calls to DFA him before he got back to the dugout.
  5. Thought that play was really close in real time. Surprised Brian and Bill thought he was easily safe before the replay.
  6. He had another step. It goes from dirt to concrete but there's no actual stair there.
  7. Should start getting someone loose in the bullpen during this half inning so they can start warming up in the bottom half because Anderson looks terrible.
  8. I was 14 and had no idea what happened or at least the scale of it until 3 pm.
  9. Maybe start treating Miley like a minor league non-roster invitee and less like an ace that can pitch out of the mess he created.
  10. Medium contact is not hard contact and that batted ball profile isn't that far off from what Corey Kluber and Carlos Carrasco have done this season. It was a fun story for a former Brewer. It doesn't have to mean "anything" for it to still be a cool little story. Nobody is saying he's the next big star or anything. Not everything has to be critiqued down to the littlest detail. I said he gave up hard contact I didn't reference hard contact% in my first post, the two are not the same thing. I wasn't specifically referring to how one site happens to categorize something which is completely different than how many other sites do. Those are also guys who K 1 per 9, if you aren't striking anyone out you have to either induce a ton of soft contact or keep the ball on the ground. He had a sub 10% soft contact, Kluber is at 15% for the year and 18.7% for his career, Carrasco is at 14.8 and 17.1. Those are not close to each other at all. Other than the fact every single thing you said wasn't true it is a really good comparison though. And you are again sucking the fun out of everything because you have to overanalyze every single thing instead of just acknowledging that it was a really cool moment for a former Brewer. But yes it was so far off, like the 40% hard contact rate that Carrasco gives up compared to the 33% rate Lopez gave up in this game. Again, it's a cool moment for a young pitcher who happens to be a former Brewer. It doesn't need to be analyzed beyond "hey, that's kinda cool, good for him."

  12. His hard contact percentage in that game was quite a bit below the league average.
  13. Rodgers released the ball before the contact so it should've been PI. I wouldn't say Adams was decked but he was run into because the Bears defender was trying to get to the outside to cover Cobb. Would have been interesting if Fuller would've actually picked it off. Do they let it stand or do they throw a flag because the contact caused the interception. Not that letting it go because the INT was dropped was a good call.
  14. You would think the Rockies would have a keen interest in the sky Sox at the rookie level, lose to home easy to use for rehab etc . I'm not sure why Colorado would care that Colorado Springs is close. It's not like they're going to use a Rookie League team for call-ups and their current Rookie League team is in Grand Junction, which isn't really close to Denver but still in Colorado.
  15. They looked bad even with Rodgers, so I don't really think Rodgers was going to make a huge difference. LOL are you serious with this. You can't be serious with this. You meant blue, right? Rodgers' talent has made a marginally talented team into a title contender for years. Our receivers can't get open. I don't care how good Rodgers is, if your receivers can't get open, your QB is marginalized.

  17. Receivers still can't get open either. Says a lot that Rodgers was shaking his head two throws into the game.
  18. I mean, he pitched well tonight but that Giants lineup was hot garbage. .276 .279 .364 .281 .258 .455 (less than 10 plate appearances) .000 .291 .103 That was the OBP of their starting lineup tonight. There's pretty much no chance of him facing a lineup that bad for the remainder of the season and there is 100% no chance he's facing a lineup that bad in the playoffs.
  19. MLB Network will be showing the bottom of the 9th.
  20. I meant to put it's not just the strength of his arm.
