  1. We were one game over .500 after the all-star break but were somehow better than an 86 win team?
  2. So 6 Brewers prospects in both Baseball America and Keith Law’s top 100s, and we know MLB Pipeline will have 7 Brewers prospects in their top 100 prospect list released later this week. Also, that seems too low for Brinson. 6 spots higher than he had him last year. Mentioned him needing to stay on the field and contact rate which he said might be improved but also might be a product of playing in Colorado Springs.
  3. Keith Law's top 50 came out. 24 - Burnes 32 - Brinson 35 - Hiura
  4. I'm not even sure an NHL team would work here but I think a lot of the reasons being given are complete BS.
  5. You said yourself minor league attendance doesn't mean much but somehow it's not helping Milwaukee's case? It means nothing. What is unimpressive? They've never been lower than 14th since new ownership took over (when snow pounded the area and kept fans away.) They haven't been setting records like they did in the IHL but it's been fine. Certainly nothing that would make anyone say they wouldn't even consider an NHL team. And are you being serious right now with Badger hockey? 2008-09 - 13,785 - 1st in NCAA - No NCAA Tournament 2009-10 - 15,048 - 1st in NCAA - Lost in Championship Game 2010-11 - 13,226 - 1st in NCAA - No NCAA Tournament 2011-12 - 11,773 - 1st in NCAA - No NCAA Tournament 2012-13 - 9,521 - 3rd in NCAA (two games were played at Alliant Energy Center) - Blown out in 1st round of NCAA Tournament 2013-14 - 10,478 - 3rd in NCAA - Lost in 1st round of NCAA Tournament 2014-15 - 10,931 - 2nd in NCAA - No NCAA Tournament (Finished with 4-26-5 record) 2015-16 - 8,849 - 3rd in NCAA - No NCAA Tournament (Finished with 8-19-8 record) 2016-17 - 10,158 - 2nd in NCAA - No NCAA Tournament 2017-18 - 9,902 - 2nd in NCAA - Likely No NCAA Tournament This team hasn't won an NCAA Tournament game since 2010, hasn't played in one in likely the past four years and has only played in three the past 10 years. The fact that they've been around 10,000 despite all of this speaks to how strong the fan base is.
  6. Thames and Brinson for Abreu would be unfathomably bad.
  7. Vegas had good ratings before they had a team and pretty much every game for them looks like a neutral site contest. Fast forward to 35 seconds https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35rUApMpQDI Fast forward to 2:15 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPGx7ApYXZw Fast forward to 1:28 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tz02ZN6XBoc 37 seconds https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3pBv4bgAPQ They certainly didn't pick up anywhere near hundreds of thousands of fans.
  8. Baseball America came out with their top 100 today. 18 - Brinson 47 - Hiura 61 - Woodruff 74 - Burnes 75 - Harrison 80 - Phillips ESPN also released Keith Law's 51-100 today. Edited: Please do not post scouting reports that are behind a paywall.
  9. But I have been a Blackhawks fan since I was about 9 when I started watching hockey. That's fine but a ton of them came within the last 10 years. They were drawing flies until Kane, Toews, Keith.
  10. Blackhawks fans are lifers is hilarious. Maybe if they're 10.
  11. The Bradley Center isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be. Is it great? No. But it's not some ******** for lack of a better word.
  12. Is it really positional flexibility if he's only not terrible in the corner outfield?
  13. First, how has the Pistons move been a disaster? Second, the Pistons moved to a hockey arena from a hockey arena.
  14. Every MLB does this. This is not a terrible precedent or something only the Brewers do.
  15. No it's not.
  16. Hope you do this for every failed draft pick.
  17. How? He's probably going to spend most of the year in the minors making peanuts and now he can make more money and be closer to home.
  18. That's not his fault.
  19. What? The Admirals got 14,000+ during a winter storm on Valentine's Day 2016. How hard do you think it is to navigate downtown? I don't really know about Ozaukee County but if you're coming from the West you get off 94, hit a stoplight, make a left turn and are basically right there. First, you're really, really short changing how many people we have in the metro area. Milwaukee County alone is almost at 1 million. As far as the Admirals attendance, it was always in the top third of the AHL before the move and it has no correlation to NHL attendance. San Jose Sharks average attendance - 17,333 (98.7% capacity) San Jose Barracuda average attendance - 3,685 (21.0% capacity) Winnipeg Jets average attendance - 15,321 (100% capacity) Manitoba Moose average attendance - 5,470 (35.7% capacity)
  20. People from there come to Milwaukee for the Bucks and Brewers. Why couldn't they for an NHL team? It's not a one way street.
  21. Austin
  22. Dyson would be solid for them. Can't hit but can cover ground, which they need in that park.
