  2. We would be stupid to waste service time on Phillips and/or Brinson as part time outfielders.
  3. Any one that isn't an '82 jersey.
  4. Don't we already do something similar with this in Toronto and Canada's exchange rate? The difference is 1 Canadian dollar is equal to 80 cents in the U.S. You need 15 pesos for 79 cents in the U.S. So you're either charging ticket prices that only the super rich can afford or you're making it affordable for middle income people as well and losing your ass on the exchange rate.
  5. Badger women are #1, Badger men are #5 and the Admirals are the last remaining unbeaten team in the AHL.
  6. The issue with Mexico City is exchange rate. If the team has to pay players in American dollars but charges fans pesos, how much money are they going to make? What is their local TV contract going to look like?
  7. It's weird that I really never thought of Todd Frazier at all when he was a Red and White Sox but now he's turned into an insufferable d-bag with the Yankees.
  8. They are not going to have a team in Phoenix in the same division as teams in Atlanta and Miami. That is insane. AL East New York Boston Toronto Detroit or Cleveland AL South Tampa Texas Houston Baltimore AL North Chicago Cleveland or Detroit Minnesota Kansas City AL West Anaheim Seattle Oakland Portland NL East New York Philadelphia Pittsburgh Montreal NL South Miami Atlanta Cincinnati Washington NL North St. Louis Chicago Milwaukee Colorado NL West Los Angeles San Diego Arizona San Francisco

  10. Terrific! Keep it up, kid! If he has to stop playing baseball I hope the Brewers offer him some kind of job in the organization.
  11. Also, giant thank you to Joe Maddon for really Showaltering that inning.
  12. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH TURNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. He's been terrible his entire minor league career. I doubt anyone is encouraged by anything he's doing right now.
  14. Exactly. It's not like this is a Brewers specific thing either. Look at the Giants this year. Announced sell out after announced sell out with thousands of empty seats pretty much every game. They were just terrible so people decided not to bother going even though they had already bought the tickets. It's the same thing for every team in every league.
  15. Can someone explain the appeal of Pedro Martinez? Because everyone in sports media loves him but I don't understand why.
  16. Different angle of Schwarber jumping for Puig's home run.
  17. The Jags have a good defense. As long as Bortles doesn't throw the game away they can compete with most teams.
  18. Brian doesn't know what sidearm is if he thinks that Lackey pitch was sidearmed.
  19. Yeah and during that same time he was talking about how they got rid of Gomez, Valbuena and Castro and replaced them with Reddick, McCann and Beltran/Gonzalez. So they took two hitters that were completely terrible and replaced them with three hitters who are really good. This has nothing to do with productive outs, it has everything to do with the replacement hitters making far less outs.
  20. Yeah, I don't think you understand how close to a lock the U.S. was. This was really the only realistic scenario that would knock the U.S. out (there was another scenario where the U.S. drew with T&T and Panama beat Costa Rica by like 6 goals and Honduras beat Mexico by like 13 goals) but those were literally the only two outcomes that would've knocked the U.S. out. Just because probably the unlikeliest outcome happened doesn't mean 538's odds were wrong.
  21. Why would Walker take over a $7 million pay cut and not even get the security of a long term contract? The reliever prices are low too. Neshek and Swarzak are probably looking at $7 million AAV at minimum.
  22. Sweden and France are actually good though. France is ranked 8th and Sweden 23rd and The Netherlands had the same number of points as Sweden, just lost on goal differential. Panama is currently ranked 60th, Honduras is 74th and literally the only thing the U.S. had to do to at minimum qualify for the playoff against Australia was get a draw against the 99th ranked team in the world and they couldn't do that.
  23. Yeah, there has to be another angle. They came back from commercial with that split screen and I'm like, this is it? This is the angle you used to overturn the call?
