  1. I could've sworn I saw Olney post on twitter that he was traded for Moncada and Betts but he must have deleted it pretty quickly.
  2. Picked off of 1st with runners on the corners and 2 outs down 4-0.
  3. How badly do you think the Cubs want a redo on that Heyward contract?
  4. That is sad Even sadder is that we call them "major free agent starting pitchers."
  5. I'm too young to have seen him play but what is the big deal with him? Unless he was like the best defensive catcher ever, he wasn't better than Lucroy.
  6. Good thing Garza was going to start "pitching for himself" this year.
  7. That's only 5 games with a day off after the third game. It probably is nothing but it's not like the schedule has been grueling lately.
  8. I wouldn't trade Smith for Vogelbach straight up. Especially since we would have to play him in the field.
  9. Nobody should listen to Cameron for player values. Just going to keep bringing it up but last year he said we should trade Segura to the Padres for Despaigne and Maurer. Just doesn't grasp the needs of teams and values of players at all. You know people always bring up that as being a horrible deal proposal, but please explain how that was worse than what we actually traded him for. We basically bought Isan Diaz and then traded Segura for Anderson. Oh wait don't forget we had to throw in Tyler Wagner to get that done. Jean Segura was just about worthless. That is what Cameron proposed and really what we got in the end was not much better. Diaz as a prospect is infinitely better than a 29 year old junkballer and a reliever with a career ERA near 4. We've basically turned Segura into Anderson, who is at the very worst equal to Despaigner, Diaz, Wilkerson and Rijo. Would you rather have that group of players or Despaigner and Maurer?

  11. Ooh, mind games. I like this. They should put him in the lineup and then scratch him an hour before the game. Then the media asks why he's taken out and we say we possibly have something that could be going down and then a bunch of teams start frantically calling, trying to figure out who is the front runner and if it's too late to make an offer.
  12. Marte challenging Villar for dumbest base stealing attempts.
  13. 36 throughout the state and 1 in Ironwood, MI.
  14. Buster Olney ‏@Buster_ESPN 39s40 seconds ago Sources: CLE in talks for MIL's Jonathan Lucroy. Perhaps Brantley's situation has pushed them to add a hitter & consider upgrade at catcher.
  15. If the Brewers were willing to trade Lucroy for that, he would've been gone in the winter.
  16. Depends. What's the package? If it's a top 50 prospect, a top 75 prospect, a top 100 prospect and then like an 18 year old with talent in the really low minors as part of the package, I would take that over a top 5-10 prospect alone. If it's a top 50 prospect and then a bunch of filler prospects who might turn into average players if they even make the majors, I'd take the best prospect I could get.
  17. I mean, if it was the same judge handing down all the sentences for the cases you listed, I would be with you 100%. Just because a couple of idiotic judges handed down nothing sentences doesn't mean Correa doesn't deserve 46 months.
  18. I think he was in a few 3 ball counts today too and got himself out.
  19. Just saw the Gomes injury. If he didn't tear his ACL in addition to whatever he did to his shoulder, I'd be shocked.
  20. Should have been a passed ball. Was about 6 inches from bouncing in the dirt.
  21. So is Texas trying to low ball us or are they trying to get another team involved to give up some prospects so they don't have to give up as much?
  22. That would be hugely disappointing because the offers will only get lower after July 31st and it puts the Brewers in the position of absolutely having to move him in the offseason.
  23. Broxton wasn't the key piece in the Rogers trade, Supak was. Broxton was a throw in who maybe turns into something. Davis has been horrible this year.
  24. I'm not. This is what Dombrowski has always done. Use the farm system to upgrade the major league team.
