  1. We drafted a player that won't turn 18 until November 20th. Clearly we're planning on a 5 year rebuild at minimum! And LouisEly, is there a show more tab below pick 60? That's what happened to me, just click that and the rest of the picks should show up.
  2. Pint's mom is awkwardly leaning out of the way so the camera is on him.
  3. Think Sheets would be pretty amazing in the broadcast booth.
  4. Braves cut a major deal with Anderson.
  5. I wasn't really paying attention, is that Jack Zduriencik?
  6. And you're the only one who got it right in our community draft I wasn't going to say anything, but... AND THAT! Fixed that for you.
  7. Idiot SS had a gift out at 2B and ended up throwing it to 1st and not getting the out. No wonder why the A's are awful.
  8. I personally don't understand how any left handed thrower bats left hand and how any right handed thrower bats right handed. I always wanted my dominant hand on the bottom of the bat for better control. I tried switch hitting for a couple of years but never felt comfortable doing it despite decent results.
  9. I personally think Braun's no trade clause is more of a hindrance to a deal than his current contract. Is he going to want that option year guaranteed if we work out a deal with a team not on his no trade list? Will he even accept a trade to a team that's not on his no trade list? We can and should be willing to eat some money if it adds to the return we get, it's just whether we'll be able to find a match to be able to eat that money and make the deal more palatable for the trading team.
  10. Not a rumor but Olney brought up Ryan Braun as a trade candidate and didn't bring up PED's, which is amazing considering who was reporting.
  11. No, Brian, he didn't take a homer away and no it wasn't particularly close.
  12. Or make that green top of the wall be the HR. I know the rules, but that fan doesn't really deserve to be tossed. Just about anybody would have tried to catch that. Especially with a ball coming at you that fast. Last thing you need is a ball hitting the top of the fence and then skipping up and smacking you or someone else in the face. You really don't know where that ball is going to hit until it's right there. MLB shouldn't allow stadiums to have seating like that where a fan could reach over and interfere like that because a lot of times, it isn't intentional. Put up some kind of barrier like the flower garden Philadelphia has in left field or a fence that's set back from the wall so you know that if it hits the fence, it's a home run.
  13. Hey, it's back to back to back home runs sort of.
  14. I don't get why they don't move that fence back a little bit so if the ball hits the fence, it's a HR and you don't have to go through the review.
  15. Clark is in A ball, Orimoloye is in rookie ball, Liriano was picked up off the waiver wire, Harrison is struggling badly in A ball. These players should not get in the way of us taking Ray. Would it be an exciting pick given where we're picking and what will likely be on the board? Probably not but saying we have guys who are in rookie ball and struggling in A ball or picked up off the waiver wire who could do that isn't really a reason not to take a player. I mean, we shouldn't take Delvin Perez because of Arcia and Villar using that logic.
  16. If the Phillies manager is actually trying to win games, he's an absolute moron. Why would he let Hellickson bat in the 4th with 1st and 3rd with two outs when the absolute best case scenario would be getting one more scoreless inning out of him? The potential for another run or more far outweighs the benefit of maybe getting a scoreless inning out of him, which wasn't that likely to begin with considering he was facing the middle of the order, had nearly 90 pitches in 4 innings and in general just looked horrible today.
  17. .279/.311/.380 since the first 5 games of the season.
  18. Really impressive by the fans to not reach out for that ball.
  19. Sure, I guess but Grandal was really good last year and Friedman doesn't seem like the type to rush out and make a deal just because a player is struggling for a few months. If for some reason they don't like what they see from Grandal, then they could theoretically get involved. The Rangers, sure but Ramos has been a fairly good offensive catcher for a few years prior to the last couple. He very likely won't keep doing this but it's not out of the question that he gives them above average production all year. I don't even know who the Rangers' catchers are at this point but since they're getting so much production even without Chirinos, they aren't going to be in any rush to make a deal. They hold the leverage. They may love Lucroy and think he'll be an awesome fit but they have no reason to make a trade as long as the guys they have keep producing. As far as the A's and Tigers are concerned, I'm not sure they have the prospects that we would covet in a trade.
  20. You looks at the top 10 worst catching situations in the league and I'm not seeing the teams that fit. There's only a handful of teams in contention in that group. We can cross of the Reds, Twins, Rays and Braves just by not being in contention. We can cross off the Blue Jays because of Russell Martin's albatross contract. We can cross off the Mariners and White Sox because they don't have enough prospect capital. That leaves the Mets who already have D'Arnaud (and probably don't have the farm system anymore) and the Red Sox who are probably going to sail to at minimum a wildcard berth with or without Lucroy. Teams like Cleveland aren't getting anything from the position and have the prospects to make a deal if they want. Maybe Houston gets back into it and decides to make a deal. Just not a lot of teams with the fit and the prospects to make a deal and that backs us into a corner a little bit.
  21. No, really, what are you doing? http://i.imgur.com/AV9DLml.jpg?1 This is the same jackwagon that was at 1st base last night, which actually explains a lot. I have no idea how he made it to the majors but he needs to be sent to Little League. Edit: Half inning later pitch 6 is a called strike. http://i.imgur.com/FHESEZQ.jpg?1
