    The only opening day I've been to was in 2004. The Brewers were playing the Astros and hung with them through the 5th. Then Wes Obermueller remembered he was Wes Obermueller and gave up 3, Ben Ford never forgot he was Ben Ford and gave up 5 more without recording an out and that was the game. Brewers ended up losing 13-7.

    I despise the new gameday. Edit: I will say I like that you can watch highlights while the game is still going on instead of having to wait until the end of the game like last year. Other than that, they tried to make it too fancy (the stadium where the game is being played in the background) a big square for the pitcher vs batter matchup.

    Why waste major league service time on a team that's going to lose 100 games anyways? That's why I don't understand Jeffress making the team, as a reliever no less. Why wouldn't they send him to the minors and at least try him as a starter?

    That's a pretty stupid game to do it. You have to imagine a lot of fans are going to want to watch the Brewers play the Yankees. For instance, why not do it on Tuesday, May 17th? They could do the Wisconsin rivalry between the Rattlers and Snappers and the Brewers will be taking on the Dodgers in Los Angeles that night so it could start 2.5 hours later (Rattlers game is scheduled to start at 6:35). That way you could get fans to come and watch the game, go home and if they choose turn on the Brewers game while missing maybe a couple innings.
