  1. Who says I didn't enjoy it? I enjoyed it last night. I didn't need to hear it be constantly talked about tonight in the middle of the game several times, including an interview with a player with the camera on him in the dugout while said game is going on.
  2. Hey, look at that. Suppan is warming up in the bullpen.
  3. A 6.09 ERA and 5.43 FIP is a good season? My, we have ridiculously low standards, don't we?
  4. Is this constant talk of Hoffman annoying anyone else? I don't need to hear Chris Narveson talk about Trevor Hoffman and how great he is (even though he's not) during the damn game, you clowns.
  5. I think you underestimate how we need another #1 or #2 pitcher as well as a #3 if we want to compete next year as well as replacing Fielder's bat all while improving the defense. That's not going to happen in one offseason.
  6. Friday could make sense. That's Bush's day to start and he's not in the future plans. I say give Rogers a shot.
  7. It's really not going to be easy for Helena, is it? A 1-0 loss in the bottom of the 9th.
  8. No worries about that. There are no IL teams west of the Mississippi. In fact, I'm pretty sure there are no IL teams outside the Eastern Time Zone. The only ones I'm not completely sure on are Louisville and Lexington.
  9. I'm not seeing the plan. He played 1st in the minors for a few games. It's not like he's going to play over Fielder and I'd prefer Gamel in RF and Hart at 1B if Gamel isn't going to play 3B.
  10. I know it's likely the Brewers go to OKC, but a new bit of news. There is no more baseball in Portland. The owner of the Beavers bought an MLS team but the only way to get that team was to turn PGE Park into a soccer only facility, so he did that while trying to get support for a new stadium for the Beavers. They tried three different places, all failed for various reasons so he sold the team to the Padres for $20 million and the Padres are moving them to Lake Elsinore next season until they can find a permanent home, one which will likely be close to San Diego.
  11. It seems the obvious thing for replay is to have a judge up in the press box. When there's a questionable call play is stopped and the crew chief goes to the home team's dugout to wait for a call from the judge in the press box on whether or not the call is right or wrong. If it's too close to call, the call stands. And before anyone says it adds time to the game. That would literally take less than a minute to do. Right when the play is questioned, time is called, judge immediately watches the replay, phones down to crew chief who confirms the call. Easy, should take no more than 1.5 minutes and probably less than that.
  12. Just think of what the score of the game would be now if we could play even decent defense.
  13. Awesome. Hope he gets some playing time.
  14. Melvin says players won't get called up unless they play. So Gamel gets called up and has 1 at bat in that time. Inglett now has 5.
  15. Honestly, the only way they stay is if one of the few remaining affiliates get partners before the Brewers can get one. I have a feeling they're going to act fast though and end up in Oklahoma City.
  16. Fat person taking like three minutes to run the sausage race = epic.
  17. Pretty sure San Antonio got a two year extension with San Diego. In fact I think the only two options other than Huntsville are Erie (Detroit) and Arkansas (Anaheim). Not many options for AAA either. Only Pawtucket (Boston), Las Vegas (Toronto), Oklahoma City (Texas), Portland (San Diego), Round Rock (Houston) and Sacramento (Oakland) are available. I expect Boston to remain with Pawtucket, I'd imagine San Diego and Oakland would like to stay out west with either Sacramento, Las Vegas or Portland and Texas is going to take Round Rock which leaves only Oklahoma City and whichever team is left between Portland, Sacramento and Las Vegas. In terms of travel, the easiest teams for us would be Arkansas and Oklahoma City and both teams have fantastic facilities.
  18. I could be wrong but don't you only have to hit like one button to close the roof? Maybe I just heard that somewhere and it's not true, but if that is the case I'm pretty sure you could train a monkey to do that.
  19. 1. I would've liked to have seen if he was actually safe at 3rd when he got back because it looked pretty close. 2. When they showed the replay, the umpire wasn't even looking so how could he have known that they touched hands? Aren't you only supposed to call what you see and not what you think you saw?
