  1. He was. Everyone was talking about Gamel for Morrow and Morrow ended up being traded for a reliever and a middling outfield prospect.
  2. I heard it. He didn't really hint at anything. He just said Cain had more development time in the minors and Gomez has had to learn in the big leagues. You can listen to it here.
  3. Another good outing for Heckathorn today. Would like to see him up the strikeouts some more, but he's not walking anyone and he's keeping the ball on the ground.
  4. Why should that be "the goal." It really doesn't matter if they lose 81 or 89 at this point. And since you say they should be developing the young guys, shouldn't Parra be a part of that group?
  5. I haven't seen anything on this anywhere else other than this twitter account. I also know the two guys who run this twitter account as well as blog are regular callers into WSSP. They could have it right, but I doubt it.
  6. Gomez sucks so bad. He was getting major boos after popping out.
  7. *Sigh* Frederickson and Lintz combine for 11 runs, 7 hits, 8 walks and 1 strikeout in 4.1 innings.
  8. The Cardinals traded for Pedro Feliz to get another bat in their lineup. - Brian Ahh yes, Pedro Feliz of the .243 OBP is the bat they were looking for.
  9. I would go for it. I'm not sure Seattle would. I heard one of the reasons they took the Rangers package over the Yankees for Cliff Lee is because Smoak is a switch hitter and Montero bats right handed. Right handers have a lot of trouble at Safeco.
  10. Even with Lopez's struggles, he's still much better than Feliz. Seriously, a .243 OBP.
  11. Well San Diego's contract is up with San Antonio after this season. You should be hoping the Brewers sign on with them. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  12. Many? Define many, like 30? Not really. If Huntsville doesn't have the proper facilities and a team like Carolina does, then it doesn't matter that they're 25 miles from Raleigh or 350 miles from the nearest Southern League rival. In that case they can just sign a two year deal and then in 2012 when the contracts of Akron, Binghamton, New Britain, New Hampshire, Portland, Jacksonville, Mobile, Tennessee, Corpus Christi, Midland, Northwest Arkansas and whatever teams that expire in 2010 sign two year deals will be available though I'm guessing teams like Portland and Akron will keep the Red Sox and Indians respectively there will be options and if the Brewers are really that angry about Joe Davis Stadium, they won't hesitate to move.
  13. I'd imagine he'd accept it if offered.
  14. You make that sound like a bad thing. They love him on WSSP.
  15. You were almost right, though it would've been ruled a single.
  16. Groundout Error on Braun ruled a double Pitching change Error on Braun ruled a double An actual HBP Strikeout Error on Fielder, Escobar somehow hurts his leg/ankle Walk Pitching change Hoffman has to get one out against Brendan Ryan's .585 OPS for the save
  17. We've made three errors this inning and have been charged with zero. Edit: Nevermind, Fielder was charged with an error.
  18. Not a classy move by Ryan. I'm glad Brian or anybody finally mentioned the Cardinals attendance. You always see them with paid attendances of 40,000+ but I've never seen that stadium full. There are always at least 10,000 seats available when I see them play.
  19. "Where's Ken Macha?" - Bill I believe the answer is sleeping. And yes, that hit his bat.
  20. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif The spot they gave it on gameday doesn't tell where it bounced. It bounced probably 15 feet on the grass and rolled to Holliday.
