Okay now this is a Hall deal I would do only if it was Crawford though. Maybe the Angels do it, I'm not sure. D'Rays may do it too, don't know
  2. trwi7
If Melvin wants improved defense then why isn't he talking about moving Weeks to the outfield and Hall to 2B?
  3. trwi7
No way am I trading Hall right now without getting at least serviceable offense back, then we trade away Jenkins who can still hit 20? And isn't Colon hurt? Plus he costs $14 million, plus he'll most likely be gone after 2007 (if he's even healthy.)
  4. trwi7
Don't think the Red Sox need Gwynn either. Isn't Jacoby Ellsbury a CF?
  5. trwi7
Weren't people talking about how Drew could play left field? Yes I would take Covelli Loyce Crisp on my team anyday.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  6. trwi7
Well I think the set up would be Wise, Capellan or Aquino even if Turnbow was on the team. I doubt Ned (although anything is possible) would've thrown him into the setup role right away especially after last year's implosion.
  7. trwi7
Again crossing fingers *Turnbow for Crisp* I'd give Melvin a kiss if he pulled that off. ***Disclaimer: I will not give Melvin a kiss if he pulls that deal off.***

Nice job playing your hand Melvin, keep Jenkins value high with this little blurb. General manager Doug Melvin says that he has the payroll flexibility to add Suppan even if he does not trade outfielder Geoff Jenkins, who will earn $7 million next season.
  9. trwi7
Hell if we sign Suppan trade Vargas and Hardy for him. I'm down with that, they're not though. Gives me something to do when I play my dynasty next time though.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  10. trwi7
Hey if we sign Suppan everybody on the 1st base side of the stadium should start blowing balls that are hit towards the right side of the infield so Hardy or Koskie can field them and to keep the ball away from Weeks.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif Do you think if we did sign him and Melvin most likely knowing that he is a groundball pitcher would think more about moving Weeks to CF and Hall to 2B or maybe Graffy to 2B, Weeks to CF and Hall to LF? (Which I would hate, the last scenario that is.)
  11. trwi7
Don't ask me ask Melvin. Am I Melvin? No I'm not, or am I?
  12. trwi7
I've been thinking about this, racking my brain going back and forth (yes I have a brain so no need for a smart remark...well okay maybe a few but at least make them funny) I think he would provide good depth and replace Davis as our guy who's pretty much guaranteed to pitch 190 innings. If we don't have to give him a no trade clause I'm all for it, I'll have to think (again) if I'd give him a deal that had a no trade clause.

I'm a loser I'm a loser And I'm not what I appear to be Of all the love I have won or have lost there is one love I should never have crossed She was a girl in a million, my friend I should have known she would win in the end I'm a loser And I lost someone who's near to me I'm a loser And I'm not what I appear to be Although I laugh and I act like a clown Beneath this mask I am wearing a frown My tears are falling like rain from the sky Is it for her or myself that I cry I'm a loser And I lost someone who's near to me I'm a loser And I'm not what I appear to be What have I done to deserve such a fate I realize I have left it too late And so it's true, pride comes before a fall I'm telling you so that you won't lose all I'm a loser And I lost someone who's near to me I'm a loser And I'm not what I appear to be That's right guys, the Brewers (and their fans) are the Beatles of baseball.
  14. trwi7
Let's just say if we need to go any deeper than 7 starting pitchers for the year there isn't much hope for the playoffs anyways.
  15. trwi7
I could understand it but damn if we sign him I hope he's not our $10 million puzzle piece. I would like the depth though. Sheets Capuano Suppan Bush Vargas ------------------ Villanueva Gallardo Jackson
  16. trwi7
Well the past 4 years at Miller Park Suppan has pitched 51 innings with an ERA of 1.76 and WHIP of 1.02. Now the Brewers have to decide if he loves pitching at Miller Park or if he just loves pitching against the Brewers.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  17. trwi7
Guy on realgm says the Brewers have a 4 year $38 million offer for Suppan, KC and Pittsburgh have the same offers on the table, NY has 4 years $36 million offer for him and Colorado has a 4 year $40+ million offer for him. Take it for what it's worth but that's what he's saying.
  18. trwi7
Umm if we actually do sign him and sign him to a long term (4 years or more) big $$$ contract ($32 million or more) then he better post an ERA under 3 for the time he's here.
  19. trwi7
Eww not me. Our offense would be horrendous and the pitching wouldn't make up the difference. IMO we would win about 65 games if that trade went down.
  20. trwi7
I would LOVE to get Haren. I'd give Jenkins, Jackson and probably more to get him.
  21. trwi7
I doubt it happens now since they traded for Willy T.
  22. trwi7
I think we'd completely suck with Perez first...then Escobar.
  23. trwi7
I would try Mench before Jenkins then add more if necessary.
  24. trwi7
We're trying to get every SS possible so Hall doesn't have to move back to the infield right?
  25. trwi7
All I know is I saw a snippet in the Denver Post about how the Rockies may be interested in Clark if they struck out on all the free agent centerfielders. We should've traded Clark in July when he still had at least a little value...
