I think you're reading the trade wrong. Minnesota gets Mench (who I believe they like) and Colorado gets Clark, who is a centerfielder, which they need.
  2. trwi7
But doesn't Colorado still need a centerfielder and doesn't Minnesota still need a left fielder? It looks like the Rangers are close to signing Lofton so the only thing left for Colorado to get a centerfielder with is trading for one.

I'd add Sarfate or some other minor leaguer to get this deal done.
  4. trwi7
    Not bad, I like it.

If he's only getting one year offers or something I don't see why we wouldn't do that. One year worth like $5 million with an option for a second year at $7 million. He'd be a nice stop gap for Gallardo/Jackson/Villanueva and Villanueva could then be in long relief. And aren't Capuano and Ohka good friends and Cappy is learning Japanese from him? You have to let Cappy learn perfect Japanese before you let Ohka go!http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Oh I almost forgot to add, Ohka would be a great left handed pinch hitter late in games.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Ugh this is not going to be a fun winter. Will Brett Favre come back? Will Roger Clemens come back? Who is the leader for his services? Will Brett Favre come back? Will Roger Clemens come back? Sunday conversations with Brett Favre and Roger Clemens! Please spare me ESPN. Oh yeah and I wish the local media would shut up about all this Packers crap. Packers Extra, Packers Blitz etc. A bunch of crap that you don't need to spend 5-7 minutes on.

People who don't say Wisconsin right. It's not Wesconsin or WisCONsin. It's just Wisconsin.
  8. trwi7
Giles isn't a free agent. If we could trae Graffy and Mench to them and get something good back I'd do it.
  9. trwi7
Because we're trying to build pitching depth and if Ohka would've accepted arby we would've had another hitter.

Good enough for me too. Oh and Crain is from Toronto.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Thanks for the Power 50 Toby. This is one of the funniest lines I've read on this site. That's sig material right there.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif

And also remember even if you take out those two starts his numbers are still bad. 184.2 IP/5.12 ERA/1.44 WHIP/72 BB's/89 K's He's not better than what we currently have and will cost a lot of money to be mediocre.
  14. trwi7
I don't even want him for one year.
  15. trwi7
Do you mean put Hart in LF, Hall in CF and Jenkins in RF?
  16. trwi7
    I'd rather have Jenkins.
  17. trwi7
My source keeps telling me that Kevin Mench goes to Baltimore, Kris Benson goes to LAA and Ervin Santana, Nic Adenhart and Chone Figgins are heading to Milwaukee. Deal will be accepted once all players complete physicals.
  18. trwi7
    Why Lieber>Lopez imo
  19. trwi7
I like John Mellencamp and that song.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

The Brewers not being able to get any deals done yet.
  21. trwi7
I'm thinking if he hasn't broken out yet it's highly unlikely that he will at age 31.
  22. trwi7
Oh God no please DOug if offered don't do this deal.
  23. trwi7
Yeah just noticed that, I found it by myself, I'm so proud of me.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Who freakin' cares about the draft picks. What are the chances they turn into a player of Schmidt's caliber?
