  1. Drew Olson had a good point this AM on the way in. The 3rd base coach gets no praise for a "good send", the baserunner gets all of the credit. They always get 100% of the responsibility when a defense makes a perfect play and throws the guy out. Also I think fans are guilty of remembering the negative and not the positives plays.
  2. tough one, I'd go with the high risk / high return options and take Dallas and Hasty.
  3. 2020 was a goofy year and the brewers were not the only team that offensively struggled. I guess if CC and the players like him, figured it was a odd season and hopefully with a full camp and 162 game season, the ship can be righted. I just hope he has a narrow leash.
  4. lost in the shuffle is that Marcus Hamel is no longer a BP catcher.
  5. got washington, Jones looked OK at times against TB. Jacksonville is the easier matchup for QB. I do think Washington is the better defense though.
  6. thanks I did my WW Priority, #1 washington, #2 houston, #3 arizona. I drafted Minnesota, which was a disaster and started streaming to mild success. Streamed the Rams a few weeks back that I have been using them since.
  7. Need to stream a defense this weekend, and the options are less than ideal: Anybody have a suggestion. NYG vs Wash Wash vs NYG Hou vs Jax SF vs GB ATL vs Den AZ vs Mia Det vs Min i am thinking the pick is either giants or washington, but no really great option.
  8. leaked bucks city uniforms. I don't get it. An homage to lake michigan?
  9. the problem with that is that they own the Mudcats. I would think appleton gets the boot
  10. i think it will be interesting to see who the bench coach is. if LaRussa hires one of his boys, it could be trouble. if its a young up and coming manager in waiting, it may make sense. Learn from LaRussa, players can relate to bench coach, etc. Still think the game passed him by and its a bad hire though.
  11. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2913193-tony-la-russa-announced-as-white-sox-manager-after-rick-renteria-firing This one floors me. I know they boxed themselves in by saying they wanted someone with championship experience, which pretty much they were hiring him, Hinch, or Cora. There has been so many young managers succeeding of late. The white sox are a young and up and coming team, and they can't bring in someone to grow with them. He hasn't managed in 9 years too, its a different game then when he left the cards.
  12. Herbert is my only option, Watson is on the bye.
  13. picking up drake last year really helped me win the championship. He had huge weeks in the FF playoffs last year, so i took him in the second round over guys like Ekler and Jones. Probably a mistake, despite Ekler's injury. Edmonds was scooped up pretty quick this year in my league, but you are right, Drake is handcuffing him. He may loose the work outright though being out making Drake almost useless to keep.
  14. This week I am down ODB, Drake and probably Mixon. I have enough depth to overcome and put out a serviceable lineup able to start Metcalf, Justin Jefferson, and AJ Brown at WR and David Montgomery and Swift at RB. to replace them I did pick up Emmanual Sanders for depth once he is back from COVID and JaMycal Hasty. Really not much depth at all on the WW. I wanted to get Fulgram but lost out. I think I am still OK but any more injuries there is trouble. Also was able to get Justin Tucker, who was a bye week cut to replace Prater, who has been OK. but you got to do it.
  15. ODB out for the year, a week ago I thought I had some really good depth, but that is being tested.
  16. picked him up hours before his 25 point game last week and had another solid game yesterday. I think, if the Lions are smart, they will continue to make him the lead ball carrier and move away from AP. I have Mixon and Drake, whom are hurt so getting a decent RB1 on the WW is very helpful.
  17. its closer as DDV is a better player than Wilson, but wizards don't make that deal either.
  18. I really wish my league just reset the WW based on reverse records each week. seems like a more fair way to do it, then based on when you make a move.
  19. IMO, there are better uses for the bottom of the roster. He has been out for over a year, I can't see him contributing much. If he does sign with the seahawks I can't see him getting many balls from Lockett or Metcalf.
  20. with Dallas Goedert being elgible to return tomorrow, I think you would be safe in cutting Ertz. I don't like dropping RB's with the injury rate. If Singletary goes down, Moss has great value.
  21. i have the same philosophy. I always have the most claims in my league and am always at the bottom of the WW. it has its positives, it lets you get ahead of some players before they are obvious claims. the downside is obviously, if you wait too long you won't get him. That happened with Tonyan to me. Regarding your situation, i think its worth dropping back down to the bottom to get Chubb for the stretch run.
  22. made a trade last night, have been struggling with the TE Position all season and had an extra WR (Chase Claypool, Justin Jefferson, ODB, AJ Brown, and DK Metcalf), so i traded claypool for Januu Smith. I know he is hurt but hoping he can stabilize the position down the stretch and I can only start 2 WR's a week and a flex player anyway. I think I did OK.
  23. Thinking about picking up Herbert as my backup and cutting Brady. I have Watson, so ideally i'd only need a QB week 8, whom Herbert has a favorable matchup against Denver. The question is if Watson gets hurt or struggles who would you rather ride out the season with. thats the tough part.
  24. Going to be an interesting offseason, as they Giannis supermax decision will come down and the bucks will be very active to appease Giannis. Starting this thread today, first rumor of the offseason is that the bucks will very much be in the mix for Bogdan Bogdanovic https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2913624-bucks-rumors-kings-bogdan-bogdanovic-expected-to-interest-mil-in-free-agency He would be the 3 pt shooter the bucks need and has some nice size. Also Kings are expected to heavily pursue.
  25. It would be nice to get a shooter in this draft, Ramsey does intrigue me as an undersized 2. Bucks could use another big guy but there doesn't seem to be anything available where they are picking. Bane would be a nice pickup. but i haven't seen a mock draft where he is available. I think this thing will be interesting as there will be less opportunities to workout these players with COVID, it may cause some surprises in the draft.
