  1. yeah, i understand people are getting anxious for some moves, but this has no affect on 2021 and is a minor league deal anyway so not burning a 40 man spot. time to move along.....
  2. mostly winning a league depends on how you adjust your roster over the season rather than how you draft. This year I started 0-3 and had the fewest points in the league by far and ended up in the playoffs still because of pick ups like Jefferson, Akers, and Swift. I won this league the last 2 years and for the same reason. I make the most claims by far every year, I'm waiting for the commish to put a transaction limit...
  3. It’s a players league. He told the bucks the players he wants to play with. Bucks gave away the farm for holiday. If the bucks didn’t, someone else would have. When you are a 2x MVP you can call the shots.
  4. Creighton is ranked #9 for a reason.
  5. Cooks is out if that helps you make a decision. Went with Herbert, they basically had the same output, need 4 points from Tucker tonight to advance, which is amazing enough. One isn't normally in the position to win when Derrick Henry on the other team goes off for 40 points.
  6. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2020/12/cleveland-to-change-team-name.html all I will say is that I hope they use the spiders. Has a history and it’s original to professional sports. They are my favorite al team, so sad to see the name go away.
  7. I rarely ask for lineup help, but it is the playoffs and I’m torn. Herbert or Watson? Any input would be appreciated
  8. This thread has gotten crazy. Minimal brewers are signing a starter and 2 corner IF’s. Hardly any moves have been made by any tram. Settle down. Most fans here understood what this trade was. A lottery ticket is better than cash or nothing. Odds are that he won’t ever be in Milwaukee, but there is a small chance he will
  9. i read that the rockets want KD or Kyrie back from the nets for Harden. Middleton is a nice player but he isnt those 2. I can't see there being a match.
  10. i drafted minnesota way too early this year, but lucked into picking up the rams early in the year and have kept onto them. I keep an open roster spot to stream players during bye weeks and tough matchups. I picked up Tucker because he was released during his bye week. you just never know when good opportunities will come up because people cut players for short sided reasons. Why take the first kicker off the board if you aren't going to hang onto him all season?
  11. I'd stick with Pittsburgh. sometimes you overthink the defense. Its so random anyway, between scores in garbage time Steelers defense is clearly the best of the 3. think of it getting insurance, if allen goes off or struggles you will get points.
  12. I'm not sure that would work financially. I thought we couldn't add more than ~450K. That'd work if we weren't up against the hard cap, but we'd be a couple million short in this scenario...I believe. The Athletic had an article by Eric Nehm on how it could work: https://theathletic.com/2252262/2020/12/10/james-harden-bucks-trade-talk-can-it-be-done-and-would-it-work-on-the-court/ Basically the trade would only work if it includes Middleton and Lopez. Middleton, DDV, and Wilson is $610K short. i put that into the ESPN trade machine and it was accepted, although I don't know how accurate that is. http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y4tqz92w
  13. people overstream the defenses I think. I have LA defense too. They had a tough matchup against Arizona last week, so I am sure they dropped the rams to stream another team. I picked up the bears defense last week to replace the rams (kept them on the roster) and they way underperformed the rams anyway. Picked up Akers 2 weeks ago too, so I am off to a 48-0 start in my playoff matchup.
  14. They are both professionals. If it actually was going to happen (which I highly doubt it would), my guess is Giannis is going to welcome it, not stand in the way. They would figure it out immediately and get along just fine. i agree, but if he isn't happy about it, he is signing elsewhere
  15. you could do Middleton, DDV and Wilson. The issue is that you have no draft picks to trade. I think it wouldn't be smart to bring him in anyway.
  16. well he can say that he'd accept a trade to the bucks, but if Giannis doesn't want him, he won't be a buck.
  17. You are correct, I looked it up and it is twice the distance for the dodgers than brewers Wichita would have been nice if they weren’t been sent to double a, but I think all of the cities closer to Milwaukee weren’t happening.
  18. Having direct flights to Milwaukee really makes the distance between Milwaukee and Nashville a non issue. I think there were only 4-5 franchises in play for Milwaukee and Nashville was the best case scenario. Love that it’s a 10 year PDL, rather than having to deal with this in 2 years again. I do like how Nashville rebranded, I will probably buy a polo or something. The logo they had when we were affiliated was pretty bad.
  19. I don’t think that’s true, what league would Beloit play in?
  20. Bring back Jedd then and pair him with Vogelbach. Honestly since the brewers are (rightly) not going to sign a bigtime 1st basemen, they are going to have to piece it together until they can develop their own. I was looking at FA 1st basemen the other day and Cron was the one that caught my eye too.
  21. They still are probably the farest away from the triple A affiliate compared to the other 29 teams. Its nice to be close to their double a and low A affiliate though. After playing in Colorado Springs for 4 years and a double A ball park for one, this must be like moving up to the big time though
  22. for the record and what its worth, MLBtraderumors predicted Santana to the brewers 1 yr / 6MM. Still think its a reasonable contract. Its early in free agency and I will sure the brewers will wait for prices to come down as they did last year.
  23. No, but maybe straight up for Dom Smith if the other New York team called.
  24. hopefully they don't waste it by trading it away. they are 0-2 on this.
  25. This take didn’t age well.
