  1. that's why we post those in blue, I have been on this board too long and it is plausible that some would actually want to see if he get some miller park magic back.
  2. thank god the brewers didn't make a similar type trade for Hader with the padres, very underwhelming return for being told that the Indians were looking for a big haul for Clevinger.
  3. right now he is strictly a DH, and besides Peterson I don't see him as an improvement on the roster. don't see it happening and if he didn't have some success here in the past it wouldn't be up for discussion.
  4. if they wanted to try Supak to see what he can do, I can get behind that. The other 2 don't do much for me
  5. that's easy to say, but has there ever been an MVP that hasn't. that's great to say, but if he is the best player in the league, he is going to want to have the ball in his hands, or go somewhere where he can.
  6. yeah now would be a good time to hit the panic button. I grant you, that if they were playing a team like the Raptors they would be down by 30, but still they have been lackadaisical for sometime now. hopefully they get a wakeup call at halftime.
  7. I was thinking Ray, but it does make sense. Either way, looks like they are bringing in 2 IF's for tonights game.
  8. you would think if that was true they wouldn't be consistently one of the worst teams in the league
  9. https://dailysnark.com/rumor-redskins-report-will-reveal-that-dan-synder-paid-off-refs-to-help-cheat/?fbclid=IwAR0GMbzf5-fvG-OEu9glDpZPJOFHhgUbJqXthiKb8uzb_LYDuCWtS_WYVrU If this is true, then he is done and seems like more dominos are falling.
  10. if Marquette thought it was a good idea to be the gold, then Washington can be the Red. Wasn't on the copyrighted list atleast. I like Red Wolves or Hogs personally, but I can see how the later wouldn't go over well. Redtails is good too. This serves Daniel Snyder right, he sat for years when he knew it wasn't a battle he could win. Now he is going to have to pay off some guy who has been buying up names throughout the years, because he knew eventually he would have to change it.
  11. the home opener being at 1pm is weird. Would make more sense to have an evening one so most fans can watch at home.
  12. I didn't realize that only 3 first round picks haven't signed yet. I am now kind of surprised its not done. the market has been set.
  13. considering there is no minor league season, unless he would be promised a spot at "summer camp Appleton or Milwaukee", there is no reason for him to sign until the deadline and see how much money he can get from the brewers.
  14. id be shocked if the plan wasn't to keep atleast on the 30 and see how he does before the rosters start to dwindle down. I think he has earned that. Would have been hard to put him on the 25 man in March the way the roster was constructed but this is now completely different with a DH and expanded rosters.
  15. One wonders if the brewers will make up for lost major league season revenue but paying less in draft bonuses. If not they should be able to give him a nice deal and still not pay any tax.
  16. So the 5th RD pick gets double the 4th. Someone needs to fire their agent.
  17. I'd image Zamora will also sign slightly underslot and then the brewers can determine how much they can give Mitchell to compensate him from falling a bit....
  18. the close up view, is better, but not by much
  19. thanks for sharing, very interesting read. the 2 categories the brewers lead the league in was scewed for teams later in the draft, but still they didn't pick last. Long term its going to be interesting to see if this strategy works. Team have forever tries to manipulate the draft pools, but taking underslot and then overslot guys, similar to what the Red Sox did. Brewers pretty much stayed at slot. Since this process is a crapshoot anyway, this seems like a solid strategy to me. time will tell.
  20. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2895061-ranking-all-30-mlb-farm-systems-after-2020-mlb-draft-results first system re-ranking I have seen. As I suspected, Mitchell is our top prospect now and the brewers moved up a little bit rankings wise by drafting a bunch of college bats.
  21. I agree, while I didn't know anything about the 4 guys they took yesterday, after reading up on them, there are tons in potential in all of them. Yes I would have liked some pitching. yes there isn't much power in the guys that they took right now. This is what you do when you have the worst system in baseball and no ability to add via trading major league talent for prospects. These guys could advance quickly in the system and get you some good prospects in the upper levels of their system which is pretty devoid of that right now.
  22. For skipping class, apparently. Sounds like the concern over his makeup may be a tad overblown. Yeah that’s not what I think of when they say off the field issues. Seems like a good pick
  23. there goes Ginn, we are on the clock! come on beeter!
  24. a lot of teams going underslot so far, I count about 4-5 who didn't
