    Deadline: B-. thats just above average they got a (hopefully) high end reliever and didn't have to give up a prospect. That being said, this thread misses the point, if you throw in Vaughn and Priester, its an A. If the brewers wanted to get a pitcher with 5 years of control and has won 9 straight decisions, the price would be enormous. Vaughn also would have cost way more than Civale. The trade deadline is just a day.

    you cannot get comp picks for an in-season trade. Brewers would get nothing. This was all vetted out during last season when trying to figure out what to do with Adames.

    This makes the lockridge pickup make sense, easy to cut him loose once Jackson is back. When I heard the name, I would have preferred someone that was didn’t have to be on the 40.

    I’ll give Arnold credit for creativity, but it’s frustrating that every team in contention was throwing around prospects like candy and the brewers only did these moves that basically offset salaries. to be clear, I’m not advocating for the Arnold to act like preller and be wreckless, but the brewers doing habe trades a prospect or 2: in the 8-18 range and be ok.

    well lets see what the asking price is at 4:45pm. He is a unrestricted FA in 2 months.

    I know there are 4 hours to go and the brewers are the only NL playoff contender that hasn't done anything in the last 24 hours. I don't want Arnold to go all AJ Preller and act wreckless. Also I understand relief pitching is crazy expensive. A move like Finnegan or some power off of the bench would help though.

    Pg situation figured out with Cole Anthony being bought out and signing with the bucks. I don’t hate it. I wish he was more of a distributor but he is young. CP3 was going to the clippers. Westbrook is rumored to want to go to Denver. Bucks got what they could
