  1. i would imagine Patrick would warrant more with 5.5 years of control. Again my point was that you should be able to get someone that can play short or 3rd thats not considered a top pickup but would be valuable until a guy like Boeve or Wilken is ready.
  2. The point of my post was to saw we have starters rotting in nashville and left side infielders with negative WAR. Will you get an elite infielder for our depth, no, can you get a guy like when they got Jerry Hairston Jr, I think so. Just looking for a guy that can hit about 250, brewers have prospects almost ready, just need to bridge the gap.
  3. I would be ok with trading Chad Patrick.
  4. Civale and Quintana are definitely expendable. I would think Patrick too. Priester is hard to trade since they gave up so much for him but it seems clear they need to acquire a SS or 3rd baseman for the playoff run and that seems the best way to do it.
  5. thats the frustrating thing. I get they get 17MM extra cap space, but unless they make a trade for Hendrickson and extend him. don't see the point. Yes they can use that money to extend their own, which is nice but that doesn't help in 2025.
  6. that they won't use....
  7. Not really, it’s nl only. Patrick Bailey is the top free agent I decided to have Murphy as my utility player and Baldwin catching until there is more clarity or another better option appears on waivers
  8. I normally don’t want to ask for help but I’m stuck. I only have room for one catcher. Murphy was doing fine for me until Baldwin came on. Nl only. Murphy, Baldwin or Francisco Alverez.
  9. For what they gave up, that’s not good enough. I grant you I have seen improvement and brewers have tons of control so I’m optimistic on the trade still.
  10. The 2 guys I like are Ike Irish and Gavin Kilen. Neither may be around at 20 though (especially Kilen)
  11. My only gripe is that a bye before thanksgiving would have been nice. Other than that its nice to have national exposure and they have to play the games that have been assigned to them, so the order doesn't matter to me. Since the Lions play the Sunday before Thanksgiving also, the point above is kind of moot though.
  12. I understand its only 2 starts and I get that a bunch of guys are coming back in the near future, but its hard to say that Logan doesn't deserve to be in the rotation over Preister and possibly Patrick too.
  13. Giannis, for all of his greatness, has missed multiple games in 4 out of the last 5 playoffs. Its one of the big reasons that the bucks only have one banner at Fiserv for this run.
  14. As Kenny Rodgers said, You got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em..... If Dame didn't blow his ACL, fine. Lets make one more go at it. But next season will be Giannis and some benchwarmers.
  15. I agree on the spurs. There is such a drop-off between 1 and 2, it would make sense for the spurs to be receptive to such a deal.
  16. I think its somewhat plausible. Trading Luka was such a PR nightmare, getting a Giannis in right away would make that go away. Flagg is still far from a sure thing. Giannis is.
  17. This came from bleacher report. They would actually "buy back" their first round picks from '26 and '27. I don't hate it. Dallas Mavericks Receive: Giannis Antetokounmpo Milwaukee Bucks Receive: Max Christie, Daniel Gafford, Jordan Hawkins, Caleb Martin, Kelly Olynyk, 2025 No. 1 overall pick, 2026 first-round pick (their own, via New Orleans), 2027 first-round pick (their own, via New Orleans' swap rights) New Orleans Pelicans Receive: Dereck Lively II, 2031 first-round pick (via Dallas)
  18. If Giannis wants to go, #2, #14; castle, 2 More 1st’s should be the price . San Antonio makes the most sense. again I wouldn’t trade him unless he requests it.
  19. IF the bucks have to do it, the spurs and thunder make sense. Also I would think those cities would be appealing to GA, rather than a mega market.
  20. there are a lot of horrible teams in the east. the difference between being the last team in the play-in tournament and being the first team out was 9! games.
  21. @sveumrules I hope so. I don't think its a coincidence that the draft lottery is tonight and this Shams report came out today. I can see him realizing that circumstances have changed over the last year and getting out of the first round will be very difficult next year as well.
  22. https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/45109801/sources-giannis-antetokounmpo-explore-best-fits-milwaukee This obviously is no surprise and was expected once Dame was lost for 25-26. If he wants to go, he has earned that. But it must be noted that the bucks have done everything he wanted and now have no draft capital for the rest of this decade, is over the salary cap and have a 40 million dollar guy out for the year. Also the lack of championships can partially be attributed to Giannis being hurt almost every playoff. I'd prefer to keep him. But if he wants to go and the bucks get a bunch of picks back and a few players, it wouldn't be the worst thing.
  23. Good News! Montaserio will be a competent backup at 3rd at least.
  24. @JosephC that’s fair but I was referring his versatility rather than his next gen stats
  25. Steelers, Ravens and Eagles all had excellent drafts on paper. At the end of the day it still a crapshoot
