  1. really the best evidence is a yearbook, which could very well be photo shopped, to the best of my knowledge the original has yet to been shown. I doubt we will ever get the answer if he is 23, but i would have to believe that the bucks did everything they could to verify his age before taking him #10. To think someone on the internet would have been resources than the GM of the bucks doesn't make sense.
  2. I think I post this somewhere after every packer, brewer and buck draft, there is no point in bashing or praising any pick that is made, you just don't know. Personally I think there are red flags on Simmons and Ingram but I could be wrong. Someone like Simmons who couldn't get his team into the NCAA tourney and wasn't eligible for the wooden award because he didn't have a 2.0 GPA and Ingram is right now too thin to play in the league. I always give the benefit of the doubt to the GMs who have watched countless hours of tape and personal workouts over what the talking heads on TV say about picks, plus if they are wrong, there are no consequences. If Hammond and Kidd are wrong that could be their job.
  3. makes sense, I was still hoping he would have gone to Wisconsin for a week or 2, i would have made the trip to see him live, i assume he will start in center, so putting him in BC doesn't take time away from clark
  4. this pick reminds me of the brewers taking J.M. Gold years back. He dominated inferior competition and never put it together in the minors and had injury issues. Not saying that the Maker won't have success. The fact is that, anyone that called sports talk radio and praised or bashed the pick, has no basis to do so. Nobody has seen him play in person. If he played college for a year, i think we would have a better guess on his future. I didn't know that as a High School sophomore he was the #1 college recruit in the nation, which tells me that there could be something there. The things that i like is that he is very well spoken and sounds very intelligent, likes the idea of playing in Milwaukee and judging from team workout, he is a very hard worker, all of this is to his advantage to start his professional career. It would have been nice for Milwaukee to have their own D-League team this season and get a lot of in game action, and let him develop there, but it sounds like he is going to be up with the bucks all season.
  5. Don't forget that last year they drafted the youngest person in the draft in Vaughn, once Kohl left, this seems to be the bucks / Kidd's / Hammond's MO, to focus solely on upside. While it makes sense because Milwaukee will never get a KD as a free agent, so they need to develop them through the draft and then figure out how to retain them, i just wish once in a while they went for a more sure thing.
  6. the videos of him in high school are much more impressive if he is the same age as those other kids instead of 4 years older. I think because he never played college ball, people are freaking out because there is so many questions on him. This pick will either be the best one in the draft or a complete disaster.
  7. this is good news, still have 2 massive issues in Brevard County and Colorado Springs though.
  8. i heard a rumor on WSSP (probably fan generated though) of 6 / contract for 10 / Monroe, this would allow the bucks to most likely get Held or Murray.
  9. i think the 2 players that should be around 10 that i would like is Davis from MSU and Baldwin, either one would fill a need. Davis would bring a Larry Sanders like defensive minded player and Baldwin would be another shooter to add to the mix.
  10. This will probably one of the more crazier drafts, there are so many players bunched from 8-20, teams will be OK with trading picks. I have no idea where the bucks will go, they obviously have more than 1 need. They need to get a big, a shooter (since the jury is out on Vaughn), and a point. I'll officially predict that they take Poeltl
  11. i'll be there during that time as well. my wife and i are traveling with a 9 year old so i don't think i will be heading to any bars. I think the plan is to go hiking in Torey Pines nature reserve, a day in legoland about 30 minutes north. we haven't nailed down food ideas so i would be interested to see what other say.
  12. In simple terms take $9,364,300 minus what the Brewers pay to the players they pick in the first ten rounds. That is the extra money they have to spend without getting taxed an additional amount. If a player in the first ten rounds doesn't sign then that amount must be subtracted from the pool as well. thank you, makes sense now
  13. yeah i rarely remember having so many different players in various mocks, will make for an interesting thursday. i also would like the bucks to try to trade back into the end of the 1st with their 2 2nd round picks if a team is looking to get out of a guaranteed contract.
  14. I still don't get it. I know that there is only a bonus pool for rounds 1-10, but whats to stop the brewers giving Jared Horn 1st round money, minus their own internal budget or his determination to honor his commitment to Cal.
  15. I think Broxton needs to go down to triple A. the brewers don't really have a player on the CS roster to replace him. I think it would make sense to give Arcia a look, but i doubt it would work. The issue is that you would need to play him 4-5 times a week to get a full evaluation on him and i don't see them doing that.
  16. looking at CS's stats, there is noone. I would just as soon save Phillip's time and give him atleat a half season in triple A
  17. well obviously it depends on who they sell off in July. Remove JJ, Sleepie, Braunie, and Lucroy off of this roster and it would help their draft stock
  18. well to be fair, he was projected to be a 1st round pick by PG and MLB.com had him at #39. Bleacher report does have good parts of their website, but i would go other places for their MLB draft coverage. this was just the first updated list i saw and i found it very interesting, so i shared.
  19. Yikes. Nope. I also don't see Diaz at 6 and Nottingham at 5
  20. I'd think so. If we were allowed to update everyone's ranking respectively he is probably #3 or #4. #1 Arcia #2 Hader #3 Phillips #4 Ray #5 Clark according to bleacher report, (take it for whats its worth) system overall #7 1) Arcia 2) Hader 3) Phillips 4) Ray 5) Nottingham 6) Diaz 7 Lopez 8) Lara 9) Burnes 10)Clark
  21. That was impressive, Second straight scarey appearance though
  22. That was impressive, Second straight scarey appearance though
  23. any guesses where Ray fits in on the MLB pipeline top 30, i'm thinking #5 right right before Clark?
