  1. I agree, id rather reduce the number than the quantity. Or if you have to make it 35,000 atleast. That should guarantee everyone that is in by the 2nd gets one. If the fans that hang out in the lot until they get kicked into the stadium don't get one i am not too upset about that.
  2. i think Carter can fill in fine for now during this rebuild so they have time to get a 1st baseman when needed. Keeping piling up young middle of the field players and you can get a corner infielder. That being said we will probably never know the list, so if the PTBN is Guzman that doesn't mean the brewers necessarily didn't take best available.
  3. interesting tidpit out of New York, brewers insisted on Wheeler or Conforto for Lucroy. Personally the package from the Rangers and Indians are much more interesting to me. Conforto is an interesting player but at i do prefer a younger prospect like Brinson. https://www.sny.tv/mets/news/brewers-insisted-on-wheeler-for-lucroy/194347236 EDIT: Rangers, not astros
  4. i love watching the swimming, besides that. last night was a good show. I do like the app, that tells me exactly when certain events are on and lets you watch it on your phone or laptop, instead of bouncing around from sport to sport like NBC does on their primetime coverage.
  5. Good thing it's a season seat holder appreciation day, I may need a few beers
  6. You can never have enough pitching... Guzman fits a need the Brewers haven't addressed 3rd or 1st at all with all of these trades they made over the last year. Yes you can always get guy like carter to plug in but he isn't the long term answer. Villar doesn't have the prototypical power of a 3rd baseman and I still think his future is at 2nd
  7. I personally think it is going to be Yohander Mendez or Ronald Guzman. I agree with you the trade is good for us if that's the case I'm fine with giving up jj and lu for 3 top 100 prospects
  8. Gallo not included. Either jj is not in the trade or more guys than those 2 are coming back
  9. i haven't been on since the trade was veto'd and cannot go through all of the responses, i will just say that those who are saying that the veto is a disaster needs to wait until atlas 3pm tomorrow and probably a full 365 days to fully evaluate. Nobody thinks Lucroy will be on the team a full year from now and its stupid for the brewers to do so. Only last year the brewers got a better return after the gomez mets trade fell through. Stearns is playing it off smart knowing that he doesn't have to move lucroy This will force teams like the mets to know that they cannot underbid and still get him. While myself and a lot on this board will be upset if there is no trade, only because from my own perspective it means that we do not yet know the return. Id rather have that then get a bad package in return. I think when you have a rookie GM you can expect some hiccups, makes me wonder how involved as a consultant DM is to let the events of the last 24 hours happen.
  10. When you say this you are basically saying ds didn't take the best deal he could which I'm sure you don't believe. Yes he could have waiting until the offseason but there was no guarantee the return would be better
  11. Board reputation staking post. Source?
  12. sounds like if the brewers have to deal with the mets TDA is coming back here, which I don't really care if he does as long as 2 blue chip prospects follow him.
  13. He's right then I wait until 2pm on Monday to see if someone gets desperate and makes a good offer and just hope that the mets or whoever's is best right now is still on the table at the deadline.
  14. Franchise altering is pretty extreme. He can be traded in the offseason still and some experts feel the Brewers can get more In December than July (I disagree with this)
  15. you compared him to carter, who batted .294 in the playoffs last season with a homer against KC. Joey Gallo is only 22 years old, way to early to categorize him anywhere. Bottom line is that he is a top prospect that fills a need, sign me up. we can agree to disagree though and Im looking forward to seeing the return if lu is moved.
  16. OK thats fine. the goal is to get young controllable talent, thats not CC. I don't mind taking gallo as a centerpiece of the deal, he was once the top prospect in baseball, carter was never close.
  17. really looking forward to the lineup being posted tonight, will tell us alot about how imminent any move is.
  18. its based on ones cable login location, i have watched the brewers on fox sports go in cleveland and detroit.
  19. I believe you can watch them legally on the fox sports go app. All he would have to use is login with your cable password.
  20. Im still OK with the trade because there was no room for Sardines on the roster either. The question is that if you remove Flores, who to do you replace him with. Besides bringing up Broxton, i don't see any better option right now.
  21. I said before the season that i wasn't concerned about wins and losses and there was some positives in this game, but that is an awful way to lose.
