  1. reminds me a lot of the duke signing. Could be a classic Melvin buy low signing.
  2. Cotts splits against lefties isn't that great, much better against righties. I see Smith being over used like last year.
  3. Elian Herrera has been DFA'd to make this move official. Seems like a good decision. Lets keep on bullpen depth in Triple A.
  4. seems like Melvin is trying to sign Duke V2.0, but he is completely different pitcher and 4 years older.
  5. I don't hate the move, but I would have preferred Thatcher. I just hope they are not done and will still sign K-Rod, Soriano, or Joba or get Papelbon.
  6. Lesnar's contract calls out for a limited number of appearances. In the past, the championship was defended at Elimination Chamber, doesn't sound like Lesnar will be part of Fast Lane. I think no matter happens between Lesnar and Reigns, Rollins is leaving WM with the belt.
  7. First of all, I was disappointed in the designs that the fans chose, many of them look very generic and are very similar to what most brewer fans already have in their drawer. I also wish the brewers would cut back on the quantity of shirt days and focus more on the quality of the shirt.
  8. This really comes down to if Milwaukee legislatures will support the plan or not. Even though the legislature is Republican and would in theory vote Yes on any Walker bill, I don't see why a representative from Eau Claire would vote for something that benefits Milwaukee if the Milwaukee legislature won't support it.
  9. I agree that this seems like an odd strategy. In the past, announcers, talent and fans have always referred to each wrestlemania by its number, for example, my favorite wrestelmania match was hogan - rock at wrestlemania 18". I don't see this changing, it just won't be part of the official logo. There seems to be alot of Vince doing what he wants, he knew that Reigns winning the RR wouldn't go well, so much so that they brought out the Rock to try to appease the fans. The fact that Vince can't see that the fans clearly wanted Bryan to win, and bringing the rock out for 5 minutes will not make them happy, amazes me. I understand that wrestling wouldn't be good if they did everything the fans wanted, but for over a year we have been watching the authority squash every face in the organization, which is very tiring to watch.
  10. http://www.wisn.com/politics/walker-announces-bucks-arena-financing-plan/30941062?Content+Type=Story&linkId=11981971&utm_campaign=WISN+12+NEWS+-+wisn12&utm_medium=FBPAGE&utm_source=Social if this passes the legislature, the bucks will have enough money to build this arena. I really wish we got more details from the ownership (preliminary drawings, location).
  11. no way they do it 2 straight years, after two years of public outrage over the winner of the rumble.
  12. day 1 on the job and is trying to ruin the quirkiness of baseball, not a good sign.
  13. did anyone catch him at on deck. does anyone have any impressions of him. Didn't get a chance to see or hear him during our visit?
  14. don't understand what wwe gains by having their top guys knocks unconscious and thrown over the top rope like a rag doll.
  15. I really was hoping Bryan or Wyatt would have won the RR. Reigns and Lesnar will put on a good match but both are brutal on the mic. I wonder if Vince will have a change of mind and through Bryan in the title again. CancelWWENetwork was the top trending tweet in the US last night, so much so that the server crashed. Vince will always do whats best for his pocketbook.
  16. haven't been to the event since the 1st event at the convention center before today and i feel that the event has improved greatly since the first time they have tried it. Autograph lines was much more organized, while having a lottery means many fans get shut out, it is the most fair way to do it. Seems like the photo area was much better organized as well. having the game show and the panel discussions adds much more for the older fans who are less concerned with getting autographs and pictures (like me) to do. overall a very good experience and I'd go back next season.
  17. it won't be sting. he is going to fight triple h at wrestle mania, not be in the title picture.
  18. I heard the devon and bubba ray may be back tonight. The rock is in the building, not sure if this means he is in the rumble though. would be an awesome moment if he was. (as long as he doesn't win it....)
  19. I doubt any of the 3 will be in the RR. Cena fought orton for the belt last year and neither were in the RR afterwards. in 2013 rock fought CM punk for the belt and neither were in the RR, and so on....
  20. good point on Bray. Thinking about it, i think you may be on to something. WWE has given him huge wins over Ambrose, seems like he is line for a push. If i was handicapping it, I'd say 1) Wyatt 2) Bryan 3)Ambrose 4) Reigns 5) Ziggler.
  21. i love the royal rumble, its the 2nd best day of a WWE fan. I agree though LouisEly that its the problem with the Royal Rumble. With the top guys in other bouts and a week midcard roster, it really comes down to Bryan, Reigns, or Ziggler and thats about it.
  22. For those wanting to hear him talk, here you go, even though the story he tells is very "interesting"
  23. if history serves right, its not going to be any player that you mentioned, it will be a Kyle Wren type player (obviously not him though). Remember when Krod was acquired and everyone was freaking out about what prospects we gave up and it was a big nothing.
  24. does everyone forget that the brewers were picked 4th by everyone and was in 1st place through most of the season last year? The cubs and cards may be improved, and I wouldn't predict them to make the playoffs, but I am not going into the season already giving up.
