who knows if its going to work out, but its much more fun to be a pads fan these days then a brewers fan (not that that isn't necessarily a good thing, its just that the brewers are on the other end of the spectrum where we get excited about trading a double a catcher for triple a fodder.

http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2014/12/padres-red-sox-nearing-deal-to-swap-hanigan-middlebrooks.html Preller may be out of control, but I like this move for the Padres, got Middlebrooks cheaply while his value was low.

towards the end of the season the brewers had a jersey rummage sale, tons of spring training / 25th man fodder. Think Bronswell Patrick. I was able to get #22 retro Logan Shafer bp jersey, which now looks like garza one with no name on the back. There were tons left, I think that this was the basis for the jersey grab bag.

sounds like Aranda was officially retained, very huge for PC, now he needs to get Rudolph after Pitt's bowl to run the offense.

looks like just an attempt to get AAA OF depth

i don't think its a hipster thread. There is just way more music and an unlimited way for people to find it. You don't need to be on the radio anymore to have people know about you. I think this thread is just a sign of the times.

if everything that i read online is true, it sounds like Aranda is staying to be the DC, Rudolph the OC and Pitts D-coordinator joint to coach the line, looks like Chryst is putting together a nice staff without even having the job yet.

he said he heard something pop, we should know more today after it is examined.

the cynic in me says that this is more of the director trying to keep her job, but it does appear that they do alot in the community. They really don't need to be part of the diamond dancers to do so.

interesting to find out that Schiano has indeed interviewed this week. I think he is better coach than Chyrst, but I think Paul still gets the job. He knows the offense much better and you don't have to worry about him leaving for the a better job in 3 years like I think you do about Schiano.

NXT eveolution was really good. Really looking forward to the ascention coming up to the main roster. Its kind of sad that NXT consistently is better than raw every week. TLC has been very good so far, the dolph - harper and cena - rollins matches were very good.

I always figured that this was the case but this is scary and not good. http://www.hoopsrumors.com/2014/12/central-hammond-gasol-pistons.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook Hammond should be making the decisions, the fact that the owner is the deciding vote in a disagreement between the 2, really concerns me.

while this is true or not, i don't think it matters too much. The LSU game sealed Anderson's fate though. 1) lying to the media about Stave's status 2) lying to the media about Gordon's health. how it happened doesn't matter. If they would have kept playing Gordon they probably beat LSU and therefore are playing OSU for a spot in the playoff.

The concern though is that UW will have a Brady Hoke issue when the bring in a true university man. I don't think it will be the case, but the RichRod / Anderson comparison is very valid. The interesting thing will be who will he bring in to run the defense since Aranda is clearly getting his own job or going to Oregon St.

Matt Clark batted .185 in limited duty last season and still struck out in 30% of his atbats. He may do fine in a platoon but there is a reason why he didn't make his MLB debut till 27.
  18. patrickgpe
the issue though is they have noone to play 1st against lefties, do you really want to Matt Clark / Adam Lind platoon. I thought Reynolds would be a good part time player again due to the brewers salary cap restraints.
  19. patrickgpe
Adam, regular employees do not give their bosses notice that they are interviewing for a different job. Its why the every day 9-5ers have a sudden dentist or doctor appointment. Honestly all it would do is hurt recruiting and your standing in the locker room if you didn't get the job. There is no benefit about it getting out.

happy they passed, I'd rather see Milwaukee use the roster spot on a ML reliever that falls through the cracks of free agency like duke

definitely got to be a depressing week to be a reds fan, complete fire sale.
  23. patrickgpe
I think Burton was frustrated by his lack of PT. He was playing the 3rd fewest minutes on the team. Dawson was burried on the bench. I would be more concerned if someone like Wilson wanted to transfer.
  24. patrickgpe
Even if they lose, the Cardinals are the classiest team in the division (probably in all of baseball). Just ask their fans. They are, after all, the best in baseball. this thread is all over the place, but its way too early to say DM or MA is doing anything else this offseason. Everyone needs to calm down and access the team on 3/1 not 12/10.
  25. patrickgpe
Burton and Dawson have decided to leave the program. I understand Dawson since he was clearly the last man on the bench, but not sure what is up with Burton. http://www.gomarquette.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/120914aaa.html
