  1. if they fail to make a big move i'm OK with it. I do want them to pick up a reliever and utility player though.
  2. It's in good fun. Feel free to ignore this thread, but I promise that this will have zero impact on whether or not they make the playoffs. my point is, its OK to countdown to something that is certain. Just a week ago the sky was falling, now that they won 4 in a row we are counting down to the playoffs.
  3. I agree, if they had a 10 game lead or if it was September, then maybe but its too early to be starting counting down.
  4. the only person that has said that he has signed with the bucks is Bayless, The signing always made little sense since he and Knight are similar PG/SG combo players but Jerydd is a worse shooter. I was OK with the signing before getting Marshall since they needed another guard on the roster, now I hope the bucks have backed away from this signing.
  5. The Greinke trade was awesome. Anytime you can add a player of that stature and then win the division for the first time in 29 years and then turn him over for your SS of the future, its a good thing, no matter what you gave up.
  6. bucks have a bunch of bigs, so I don't mind passing on Adrien. I believe their 2 biggest needs going into free agency was a PG and a scorer 2 or 3. They haven't taken care of either so far, so I am fine with letting another PF go. With Parker slated to get a lot of minutes at the 4 and Henson backing up, combined with the large number of other bigs; Zaza, Irsan, Larry, Radulija and the non guaranteed contract of Wright. I was impressed by his work but they have a roster than is heavy on 3-5's and light on guards.
  7. if the team can stay healthy. will smith gets back on track, and they acquire a right handed late inning reliever, a 1st baseman to replace Overbay on the roster with and a good veteran utility player they should be fine.
  8. bucks on the verge on signing Jarydd Bayless. Seems very similar to Knight, but I like the signing. They need another guy to run the point, and I didn't think they were going to get Bledsoe.
  9. rumor is that LIn will have a new home by Sunday, wonder if the bucks are in play. I would hope they pass since none of the bucks bad contracts would be going back to Houston. Not sure why either the bucks or sixers would want to do that, except for simply getting another 1st round pick in return is worth it.
  10. my guess is that wiggins will be on the way out, he does play the same position as LBJ. I believe that rookies once signed cannot be traded for 1 year, which would explain why Wiggins hasn't signed yet.
  11. it would make sense to have him go down hurt this afternoon bring up nelson and let marco move to long relief.
  12. brewers just need to win, glad Garza was about to put loosing the no hitter behind him and got out of it.
  13. I have no idea what you could be talking about, nothing is happening to even jinx
  14. games on friday and sunday are on nba TV. looking forward to seeing Jabari parker in a bucks uniform.
  15. I'd feel better about this hire if someone like Jim Cleamons was retained. So far, Kidd has added Sean Sweeney, Josh Oppenheimer and Eric Hughes to his staff, not exactly big name experienced hires. My largest red flag on the hire was how he handled Lawrence Frank. Seems like he was a bunch of yes men on his staff and no strong / experienced personalities. He was just in the league 2 years ago, and has 1 year of coaching experience. I would like a veteran coach in there.
  16. From what I read online yesterday Wally left the basketball program to focus on track at Minnesota. Really didn't put up much in the line of stats in his first 2 seasons as a gopher. I can only think this was done to help recruit Henry to Milwaukee.
  17. Kidd mentioned specifically bringing in a point guard yesterday. I'm sure they will get one in free agency. They should have about 10 million in cap space so money shouldn't be an issue.
  18. Hammond has been a good drafter but free agency moves have not worked. No one outside of the organization knows how much say Kohl had in these decisions but off of the top of my head the follow free agency / trade moves have been made in his tenor: 1) signed Drew Gooden 2) signed John Salmons to an extension 3) signed Larry Saunders to an extension 4) traded for Stephen Jackson 5) traded for Corey Maggette 6) traded for JJ Reddick 7) traded for Monta Ellis I understand in Milwaukee you have to take chances on players but it doesn't seem like anything has hit the wall under him. I also disagree on free agency, judging from this coaching hire, but new owners will want to make a splash an sign 1 big free agent atleast.
  19. my last 2 points: 1) I can't remember the last time so many in the local media ripped a new coach hire or a coaches firing. These moves for the brewers / packers / bucks / MU / UW are always met with praise. 2) It looks like Kidd is not being considered for the president of basketball ops based on the bucks press release this morning. This makes the move easier to swallow, but I'm luke warm on this at best.
  20. yes I agree best raw in a while. I love how they teased the return of the Rock all day only for it to be the Miz. Jericho and Wyatt will be gold for the next 3 weeks.
  21. from Mark Stein: "ESPN sources say Bucks are sending two second-round picks to Nets to secure coaching rights to Jason Kidd"
  22. the 2 MITB matches were very good as well as the uso- wyatt match. The rest left a lot to be desired. The problem is that when you have all of your heavy hitters in 2 matches, the other 2 hours will be pretty weak since the mid card wrestlers are weak these days.
  23. i agree that after the leaked posters, i think orton takes the belt tonight. i could see this means ambrose wins instead of giving the title shot to a heel unless they still plan on giving cena the title before summerslam.
  24. this is awful news. i never thought drew was the future but kidd never gave any indication that he is a NBA coach and the way Lawrence Frank was handles was embarrassing. If the bucks want to move on from drew, i don't have an opinion either way, but i would have tried to get hollins, marc jackson or nate mcmillian over kidd if they had to get rid of Larry.
