    he is in the atlantic 10 now. he would get way more tv exposure and Marquette could break the bank to give him what he wants. His total compensation was 1.5 million last season, Marquette could easily give him double that much.

    it would be the best case scenario, Howland has had great success at UCLA and Pitt, but he preached more defense and wasn't the most up tempo of coach. Getting Smart would mean little change over what occurred during Buzz. I think this would be great, but at 36, I don't think he would be at Marquette for more than 5 years.

    Howland would be a great replacement for Marquette. It shows the recruits that Marquette is serious about not falling off the grid after buzz left. I think it is very important to not go with someone like Wardle. While he has done an OK job at green bay there are more high profile mid major head coaches out there if they can't get a home run like Howland. The fact that he is a Marquette guy isn't good enough. They have already lost one top 100 recruit, they can't lose any more

    I'd take parker or wiggins over the others. I think Parker is the safest choice, he is from chicago so milwaukee's climates wouldn't affect him and he would be close to family. Being a mormon means that he wouldn't be looking for the hottest clubs so a city like Milwaukee would be decent fit.

    Duke has looked good. Going into Spring, I though Smith was a lock and Duke and Wang would fight for the 2nd roster lefty pen spot, before Gorzy comes back. We actually might end up having 3 lefties in the pen. Assuming the team uses a 7 man pen to start the season, I am guessing CL Henderson SU Kinzler, Rodriguez MR Duke, Blazek, Smith LR - Wang i have always been a fan of Zach Duke so I may be over valuing him though.

    I don't know what is going on with WWE anymore either. Batista has turned heel so basically the main event of wrestlemania is a heel vs heel match that noone wants to see. Batista can't get through a match without being winded and he seems to be the person vince is putting his stock in while Bryan is the people's champ.

    i'm doing my first auction league (NL only) this year. can any recommend a book / website / magazine with recommended auction values. I get baseball prospectus every season but it doesn't really help me with auction values.

    Punk is a large part of their merchandise revenue though. I am sure Vince isn't happy he is gone. I know Bryan is way over and is probably even more popular than where Punk was 2 years ago. It is true though that the kiddos are still buying their cena stuff, but I still believe WWE rating were never higher in recent memory then at Punk's pipebomb, and they do have a network to sell.

    i wouldn't worry about it falling through. since there was no whisper of this deal I am guessing it came together quickly and hammering out some of the language in the deal may take some time.

    interesting end to RAW. the wyatt family kidnapped Kane. Kane creates a steel cage match where he only has to the key only for his former tag team partner to revert back to Daniel Bryan. Could team hell no be back together? Seems obvious but who knows if creative actually thought of this?

    reminds me a lot of the twins mascot TC. i guess it serves it purpose good for kids, but its pretty lame for adults.

    i think they are really scraping the bottom of the barrel if scooter gets his own bobblehead. he had a good 2nd half last season but i think its too early for a bobblehead.

    having every WWE and WCW ppv on demand makes it worth it. I really hope it works which could allow the UFC to look into doing something similar.

    i still refuse to believe that all players that will be on the 25 man roster are currently in the organization, so its hard to make a prediction.

    plans for WWE network announced yesterday. seems like a good deal and something i'd get. 9.99 a month and includes ALL pay-per-views including wrestlemania. seems like this is a big risk / reward situation. they are effectively decreasing their PPV price to a 1/6 of what it is.     I'd take parker and not worry about the alphabets natural position. those problems take care of themselves. the bucks need a playmaker and parker is by far the best one now. the bucks are in no position to not take the best player on the board regardless of position.

    i thought if you pick in the upper half of the 1st round the pick is moved to the 2nd?

    I am still intrigued by the idea of Morales. Unlike last season the brewers wouldn't have to give up a 1st to get him, but a 2nd. I doubt they will do it though. The minor league system still needs a lot of quality draft picks to begin to rebuild it back to where it used to be. In addition I can't see the team competing for a playoff spot. Its not a move you make to try to finish 500 and get in the upper half of the division.
