  1. overall i enjoyed the PPV last night, the ziggler/ orton and cena/ punk matches were great. Kane and Bryan continues to be comedy gold. rest of the PPV was pretty bland in my opinion.
  2. other problem would be the brewers would most likely not be guaranteed a home game if they get the second wild card spot. they may turn off some people from the substantial upfront money the playoff tickets would cost.
  3. while it would be nice to have a AAA affiliate with better facilities, it is nice to have a place relatively close to Milwaukee (as opposed to being on the west coast) and if and when they get a new park, i would hope they would remember how loyal we were to them. Also i understand its nice to have your AAA, AA and A+ teams in close proximity. http://www.foxsportswisconsin.com/09/11/12/Brewers-extend-contract-with-Triple-A-Na/landing_brewers.html?blockID=788585&feedID=5065
  4. what a surreal raw last night. Lawler looks like he is going to be OK but was clinically dead for 20 minutes yesterday and is having surgery today. I DVR'd it and rewatched the Kane / Bryan vs PTP match and I am amazed that Cole was able to keep his composure after seeing the chaotic scene. here is a video of the incident http://www.sescoops.com/video-of-paramedics-tending-to-jerry-lawler-at-raw/ It is also shocking that Punk, Cena, and Hart was able to do that final segment knowing what is happening backstage. I know the show must go on but I think it would be hard for me to do that.
  5. Loved it. We have one of those RAW's next week where you have to watch to see what it was all about. to say that the story lines have been a little stale of late would be an understatement. The anger management classes have been comedy gold the last 2 weeks though. I think a Punk / Heyman duel changes that. I don't think the WWE realized how tough it would be to make him a heel after raw100. I read that there was going to be a huge summer storyline like the pipebomb that started this thread or the NEXUS. If it was the heel turn at raw1000, it hasn't gone over at all. I think Heyman will get punk much more heat. He still gets cheered right now after attacking lawler. walking out on his match, and attacking cena. not sure what else they can do.
  6. This made me laugh probably harder than it should have. i got luc richard at the 3 also while its fun, its way to early to speculate. one of the young starters can be traded, peralta and thornburg have yet to have their auditions, and its hart to speculate on if the brewers bring in any FA's. If you twisted my arm i would have Yo, Estrada, Fiers, Rogers, Thornburg in some order, but obviously bringing back Marcum would probably be beneficial to both sides for a 1 year deal.
  7. I agree, there is no point in him pitching every 5th day when that spot can be used to evaluate younger pitchers for next season. Personally I'm excited for next years rotation, especially if Marcum can be signed for next season so he can prove himself. The fact that the brewers could put a younger rotation together means that they can spend some money on improving the pen.
  8. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/ wonder what the rotation will look like in September with the talk of Fiers and Rogers being shut down at some point.
  9. I'm definitely looking forward to this season. Greg Daniels is returning as the showrunner. I'm hoping Steve Carrell can come back for the finale. Also it looks like we will finally find out who is behind the documentary.
  10. also Lesnar just posted a video saying he is leaving WWE and is never coming back. Not sure why they are doing this twice as we all know he will be back and has a few appearances left on his contract.
  11. since everyone knows tonight is Jericho's last raw, kind of disappointed in how obvious they are going to make him leaving WWE. If he looses today his WWE contract is terminated, in which it will be. I am sure the Y2J vs Dolph match will be epic though.
  12. watched it at Romines last night, was difficult to hear from where i was. seating was difficult to find when i got there at 615. The thing i never understand is why they allow children in there for PPV's. I am sure they want to sell as much alcohol as possible to make up their large overhead charges to show the PPV.
  13. anyone else notice that the last 3 weeks since AJ took over RAW has started the same way, 3 or 4 wrestlers get into it to start the show and she comes out to make the main event a 3 man, tag team, or fatal 4 way match. this is like Teddy Long on Smackdown all over again. The matches seem to be better since RAW went 3 hrs as they main event ones have more time allotted to them.
  14. the browns are my second favorite team, i'd be interested in being them. playstation id: patrickgpe
  15. nope. this move was clearly aimed to be bad for a few seasons and pile up some highly drafted players (ie the okc thunder method). taking what the nets offered or just bynum would have kept the magic competitive, i don't think that is what Orlando wanted.
  16. bucks have come to terms with Joel Pryzbilla http://www.journaltimes.com/sports/basketball/bucks-beat-bucks-get-commitment-from-przybilla/article_4f01f996-e038-11e1-8a58-0019bb2963f4.html In a vacuum i like the move, but the bucks now have 6 PF's or C's. someone has to be on the move to get a wing player or else i hate it.
  17. i would have to assume the brewers intend to give him the most time at short. if not they could have just called up Biachni or pulled Izturis back since the brewers got nothing back for him.
  18. i'd rather let segura come up September 1st and get the majority of PT at shortstop, bringing in Yuni B is not going to help the club at all at this point.
  19. great topic, and i have too many favorites, in honor of the olympics i will go with this one. http://videos.mediaite.com/video/SNL-SYNCHRONIZED-SWIMMING
  20. if you want to go all out, the chophouse, inside of the hilton is excellent, but is pricy. Its about 5 blocks away from the hilton. They do have a parking structure, but you can usually find parking on Michigan avenue for free. If you want to get a decent dinner and a drink before the show, Mo's Irish pub is a good choice.
  21. i never keep my boxes. when i moved i just wrapped them good in bubblewrap and it protected them fine.
  22. brauns homer the last game of the season in 2008, hands down. Younts 3000th a close second but I think i was too young to fully appreciate. it. third place was game 4 of the NLDS in 2008.
  23. wwe has up on their site that booker t is the new smackdown gm. #1 i feel that the time for gm's is over. They really serve little purpose. #2 if they need a GM, a heel one is best. I loved when the michael cole reading the anonymous gm's emails and johnny ace could have got the entire arena up in arms. I don't see AJ or booker t being able to do that.
  24. last night was there first big test as it was the first regular 3 hr RAW. I do like that the extra hour allows the 9pm and 10 pm main event matches to go a little longer, which they took advantage of with a good cena - show and miz/ziggler vs christian/jericho tag match. The extra filler I could do without. They showed footage of the pre-show fire 4 times, had an three awkward Bryan psychiatrist segments too.
