  1. i like the pick of henson, the problem is dalenbert, udoh, sanders, and henson are basically the same player. i like all 4 players but understand one may have to go to get a wing player. at 14, i'm not sure how i would have drafted differently. maybe have taken terrence jones instead, but its a close call. after how the draft shook out, i would have preferred taking lamb at 12 and figuring out a center via free agency or trade. I also was fine with how gooden played center last year even though thats not his best position. the pick of the other lamb was awesome though. i was rooting for djo at 42, but i think they got a better player.
  2. How? They don't have anything in order to move up that high. Besides their current 14th pick, Mbah a Moute is probably the only other movable guy we have. That's not enough to get in the top 10. I have to say, I haven't been excited for a draft like this in a few years. Ellis and Jennings are tradeable. i get excited for every nba and nfl draft, i am usually not very excited once it ends. i am hoping things change this year.
  3. I'm pretty close to this. I'd go Lamb, Ross, and then I'm indifferent on either Jones after those 2. I'd take either. I would be sick to my stomach if they took Leonard at 14. I really think Lamb or Ross will fall though, but if they don't we're probably looking at the choice of Leonard or one of the Jones's. In that case, they might take Leonard. Let's hope that doesn't happen. i know he refused a workout with milwaukee, but i'd still think about rivers at 14 too (probably would put in #2 on my list) i also believe that if the rockets can't swing a trade, they will take zeller or leonard since they have no center. that would take one out of the 2 off of the board.
  4. i think my final wish list is (changing it after the trade) is 1. lamb 2. perry jones 3 3. terrence ross 4. terrence jones draft express and nbadraft.net's mock's after the trade has the bucks taking leonard, if they do that i'm going to scream.
  5. the bucks may finally have a decent mixture of scorers / defensive players. while the bucks will not score much inside next season, they have a bunch of players who can get rebounds and play d in the paint. the bucks will have to rely on scoring from their guards. i just hope they get a shooter at 14.
  6. i like it, less chance of getting zeller or leonard. probably means ross or lamb is coming to milwaukee.
  7. that i agree with, as i said earlier, i think you will never get #1 overall with a bunch of players like zeller, you will consistently be picking in the middle of the draft. it seems that kohl has tried so hard to back in the playoffs the last couple of years, the bucks have been delaying the rebuild they desperately need.
  8. you need those type of players, but you can get those in round 2. perry is the player that i think the bucks should focus on. i think he has the tools to be a good nba player and his draft status has been hindered by his lack of motivation and bulk, which both can be improved in the pros.
  9. i understand that logic, but disagree. if you have a bunch of tyler hansbrough types you will win in the nba, but will consistently be an 8 seed. no top nba free agent will land in milwaukee anytime soon. the only way to get players with star potential is to take a chance and draft one. i love taking college seniors who have been productive in the 2nd round and they have been mostly good role players (minus Redd). I understand my logic is going to result in more misses than hits but if you can get a few star level players i feel its worth it. the nba is a star league, it doesn't favor players like zeller.
  10. problem is there is so much disinformation this time of year, there are contradictory reports that the bucks want to move up to take henson or drummond, they don't think they will make a draft day trade, and they will trade down to look at barton. thursday is going to be interesting for sure.
  11. yeah i figured thats what it is too. i have a feeling that the next couple of raws are going to be snoozers until they get to their 1000th episode.
  12. i think zeller will be a bust. i could live with leonard but its a boom or bust pick i think as of this moment my top 5 would be 1: perry jones 2. terrence ross 3. terrence jones 4, john henson 5. meyers leonard (i'm sure this will change by thursday though....) i think the bucks understand that they need to try to find a diamond in the rough. Hammond has drafted like this each season he has drafted, and really only hit on 1 with sanders and harris being too soon to tell. Perry Jones was talked about going #1 overall if he left baylor after his freshman year. I know there are questions on his motivation and bulk but he is a freakish good athlete
  13. going on sunday. any other people from this site making the trip to the southside? has anyone else been there, what concessions are must tries?
  14. i think if miller park would have gotten a proper seed and the moderator of the poll was opening dissing miller park, the poll would be going a different way.
  15. http://soundcloud.com/1025thegame/espn-com-baseball-beat-writer gosh i hate caple...
  16. the interesting part is the difference in total votes between the brewers matchups and the other ones, brewer fan is clicking on voting for miller park and is done voting
  17. i may be biased but i don't see how you can call miller park on of the weakest stadiums. EDIT: Latest tweet
  18. at first i didn't care what happened because i figured this was fixed to put fenway or wrigley #1, but when caple writes crap this this i can of changed my mind, even though this screams the madden cover vote which never gets it right (peyton hillis on the cover over rodgers....)
  19. they don't have dispensers this year, most concession stands have bottles though of the stadium sauce.
  20. #1 reason why this is stupid, is that most people have only been to their own ballpark and maybe a handful of others. I have only been to 5. Its hard for the average person to make a judgement based on what they see on TV. I understand that this is a stunt to get hits on their website, but the whole thing seems kind of dumb.
  21. For those of you not following it, ESPN decided to have vote (bracket style) to decide the best ballpark in baseball. This isn't a get out the vote for miller park effort (because #1 who really cares who wins and #2 the vote if fixed anyway) the issues i have is in the prerankings. Miller park was seeded 24th. It easily beat the Angels ballpark on monday and is leading dodger stadium with the vote ending at lunchtime. secondly, espn put out a list of best / worst concessions and seats at the stadiums. I know Jim Caple is their page 2 comedy guy but he obviously didn't do his research. http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/8049114/battle-ballparks-best-worst-seats-concessions-more to list a miller park brat with mustard (which is a great choice) as #3 is stupid because most will say that the most popular food item at miller park is a brat with secret stadium sauce. the beer rankings are equally dumb. most ballparks either serve bud or miller/coors. not sure how coors field can be the best and miller park the 3rd worst. Maybe Caple is just a coors guy. I can't speak for what micro's coors has but atleast miller park has really done a good job of getting some microbrews inside the park for people not interested on just drinking miller lite.
  22. my guess is that they are going to let the punk - bryan fuel go through the summer and let shamus battle the big show
  23. the fact that he didn't go on the dl today probably means he is a day to day but there has been no new news.
  24. that is the problem, if jsonline offered content different than what was available on the blogs, more would pay for it. for example even though the journal sentinel employs a full time baseball beatwriter, the content on this site, deciples of uecker, and brewcrew ball are all similar and free. the advantage is its all in one place. onmilwaukee.com does do great entertainment / dining content, wispolitics is great for politics etc....but you actually have to visit all of those sites to get the info.
  25. he was getting DFA'd this weekend with Ishigawa and Izturis coming back.
