  1. i'm overall happy. i wanted arms that could be up in 2 years. We have had trouble with high school pitchers too, so going high ceiling always doesn't work too. Atleast these are 2 picks we should be able to get in the system quickly.
  2. if they get Barnes or Gray, at 15 I'd be happy. I don't think drafting college players to replenish their system is the worst thing as long as they don't miss.
  3. get Gray at 15 and I'll be happy. Jungmann is no more that a #3 starter which they need to do better with the 12th pick.
  4. i'm thinking Barnes or Gray at 12. Anderson at 15.
  5. fricking cubs. at this point i'd take 2 arms and go for a shortstop in rounds 2 or 3.
  6. i wonder how far Rendon will fall...
  7. i don't know much about Lindor, but i have seen comparisons to Soriono which i like. There is still questions on whether Baez can play SS, which if you can get a power hitter at SS its much more valuable than at 3rd, since there are less.
  8. I'd have to agree with this. I really don't like Kotsay starting, because he just isn't a playmaker. He is not defensively, and isn't going to do anything but hit a single from time to time on offense. I will agree with that. my only point was that loosing one starter is not the end of the world.
  9. Very bad lineup I agree he is our hotest player, but my point is that lineup is not very bad. I will give you i'd rather have Lucroy in Harts inspot instead of McGehee. I could look back to the Jerry Royster led brewers of 02, and find you a very bad lineup.
  10. i wouldn't call that lineup brutal. It may not be the best it can be but its not like RR sat Hart and then let Neives catch. There is only 1 player who is not an every day starter.
  11. thank God for picture in picture. I can watch the draft while having the game in the upper right hand corner of the tv.
  12. i find it interesting to read in Goldstein's mock that their are rumors that the crew may already have a pre-draft deal in place with Baez.
  13. i don't think springer will be around. I think the team needs to come out of the draft tonight with a shortstop and starting pitcher anyway.
  14. i agree Toby, the 15th pick they need to go with a safe sign since the organization cannot loose a first round pick. That doesn't mean i want them to take a Kyle Peterson type player, but you should be able to get a player that is looking to sign. After reading up on the draft over the weekend and going through this entire thread, I'm hoping for one of the 2 shortstops at 12. I heard good things about Gray but I know the brewers tend to shy away from shorter starting pitchers in the draft. That leads me to think Tyler Anderson, Matt Barnes, or Taylor Guierrieri at 15.
  15. link i love sonny gray but understand he will probably be gone at 12. if the draft does like mymlbdraft.com projects it, i will be extremely happy. i still like barnes at 12 and baez at 15.
  16. Dillards splits against Righties isn't that great for a sidewinding righty. I know he has good outings the last 2 times though. I still would have preferred McClendon to stay on this club though.
  17. my ideal situation is barnes and gray.
  18. i agree on thome you could get him rather cheap and he would be a decent bat off of the bench. I'd like another arm in the pen, sort of like the brewers picking up linebrink in 07
  19. especially now when there is no new thursday night shows on nbc. I'm watching ken burns baseball documentary on netflix tonight though to get through it.
  20. dexter is my favorite show on tv. seasons 3 and 4 are my favorite, so keep on going. 2 and 5 may be the weakest even though its still better than just anything else on tv.
  21. thats all fine and dandy, i'm focused on the draft. i would like to see them take marcus morris at 10. i think he is a safe player who can survive in skiles system. Biyombo is the guy that intrigues me but i know he is 2 or 3 years away from helping if he ever does.
  22. once i heard about this promotion i knew it had fraud and hording written all over it. I go to most of the bobbleheads but never understand selling them for a beer or 5 dollars at the game or selling on ebay for 20. Friends give me grief for not saving the boxes they came in but i have no intention of selling them. I'm glad that the brewers are atleast selling them at the team shop to curtail gauging because 200 dollars for a plastic statue is insane.
  23. boggs should be on the team over almonte. Before Almonte got his concussion I was hoping they would make the switch.
  24. second here come the mummies, i saw a few videos of them on youtube and wanted to see him at turner hall 2 months ago but had other plans.
