  1. hopefully the brewers don't leave phoenix with 2 players with messed up swings.
  2. peralta needs to get up to triple a at this point, so we can see what he has got. if there in an injury to the rotation (knock on wood that there isn't), the brewers need to know if peralta is a candidate better than estrada to take the spot.
  3. hopefully marcum can replace cain who is scheduled to start on sunday.
  4. thanks for the clarification, i'm on board, that is an awesome idea! it will be interesting to see what charity Prince picks, it would be nice if its something local, the MAAC fund would be an awesome choice!
  5. i guess switching it up isn't the worst thing, this is a better idea than when we had players represent their countries i guess. it isn't clear if their is an individual champ or if just one of the leagues win though. there has to be a champ whatever format they choose.
  6. i think this is the best lineup in years. i listen to indie though so most of the bands i'm excited about are out of the main stream. If i didn't have a job that started early, i'd be at sharon jones and the dap kings, flaming lips, girl talk, and edward sharpe and the magnetic zero. There are alot of local bands on the small stages that are some of my favorites, mainly i'm not a pilot, herman astro, jeanna salzer trio, and crooked keys. Looking at lineup, i can see how it may not be everyone's cup of tea, depending on your taste.
  7. any entrance will work.
  8. if you guys want to know how much brewer fans are voting, carlos gomez is 14th in the NL with over 1M votes. I wrote in Nyjer for the 3rd OF, but i think thats a good measure on just how many brewer fans are voting.
  9. anyone know who is slated to start at miller park on wednesday, its looking like brooks hall, right?
  10. When was the last time a team in any professional sport just completely blew up the team for a 100% rebuild situation. I can't really recall anyone off the top of my head. Its impossible to do on football; in baseball marque players are traded all the time but its not like teams try to trade every good player they have for prospects. the marlins in 97 is the best answer, nba-wise maybe the bulls right after jordan in 2001.
  11. i will admit that this draft was weak and saving cap room might have been the best move. I still have hope that with all the money coming off of the books this offseason, that barring a long lockout the bucks can bring in a decent free agent that can contribute while the young players develop. they are still weak in the backup sg and c positions. i like the harris pick more now than i did last night when it got called. I don't think Leuer will be anything special but it doesn't matter since he was a 2nd round pick with an unguaranteed contract.
  12. sam i'm not sure how fair of a question that is, last years team performed below expectations alot due to injuries. They could have brought out last years roster healthy and be a better basketball team than last year. baring another huge move the bucks are slotted to be a 40 win team, which will get the the 8th seed or drafting late in the lottery.
  13. i don't think he is unhappy here, but he did say that he wanted to a buyout to go back overseas.
  14. gery woefell reporting that the bucks have a deal with the kings for #7 (1250 speculating its for a player) http://twitter.com/#!/GeryWoelfel
  15. i am looking forward to the movie, but looking back money ball is loosing its luster. the team won 1 playoff series under his watch and was deeply helping by having hudson, zito, and mulder at the beginning of their careers and didn't have to pay them much. since they left, the athletics haven't done much. that being said i loved the book and will definitely see the movie once it is out.
  16. http://sports.espn.go.com...11/news/story?id=6696680 i know there is alot of misinformation this close to the draft, but if this is true and the reports out of houston are true, the bucks trading down may happen. i know there are reports that detroit is looking to move down with houston so that they can pick up tristian thompson or byombo.
  17. i was disappointed too, the problem with wickett is that he did not grow up here. you can learn about the sports history of the team, but unless you experienced it like we all did, all can you be fully knowledgeable. Thats why i like tim allen, doug russel, and sparky. They have been through it with us instead of sitting in ann arbor and learned about it over the last 3 years. also they can say what they want, this is a cost cutting move. they don't pay for people at 1250. they tried to bring in a big hire like peter brown when the station first started and let him go for money. I am going to guess that guys like Cliff Saunders was let go for the same reason. Its too bad, because in Milwaukee the only way to be successful is longevity. Most 10pm TV anchors have been here for years. Most of the top morning FM dj's have been here for years. Most top writers have been here for years. In addition most grew up here.
  18. i think its good to have an AL team if your team is bad so you have another team to follow, the indians were good while the brewers were not. I guess its a little different now, but its nice to see them doing well.
  19. i really hope that valanciunas is not the pick at 10 and the trade is not made. i never saw him play but just reading up on him, he seems very raw and doesn't look like he will be able to help us soon. we drafted a project last year i'd like to get a player like brooks or thompson (or even burke) who can help us this season.
  20. i cheer for the indians.I think i started when major league came out, and a couple years after that was there hayday. i think the cities are pretty similar and i can feel for the championship deprived series. the browns are my favorite afc team too. can't cheer for the cavs though since they are in the bucks division.
  21. i agree if they were going for a sg, i feel that brooks and thompson are pretty similar players, maybe you can get your backup center at 23 then.
  22. http://houston.sbnation.c...ockets-trade-picks-bucks take it for what its worth, if this goes down i'd guess it would be brooks at 14 and maybe a jordan hamilton at 23. i kind of like it.
  23. a new BC does more than keep the bucks, but it would enhance downtown in general. I know that wisconsin is tightening its purse strings and with a weak economy its tough to ask people for more money
  24. thats the problem, this draft doesn't have a star, unless maybe irving, so i don't see the point in trading bogut for picks.
  25. i think bogut when healthy is one of the top centers in the league, thought i'll admit probably not in the star class. I think if you bring in a star, you can do big things with him. I don't think of Jennings like that
