  1. Myers has earned a rotation spot for now. I would assume Hergert goes down and Gasser is down tomorrow since Peralta's suspension is then over.
  2. He's 65, not many teams are bringing in guys his age anyway. He is currently the 5th oldest manager in baseball, so this isn't a controversial statement.
  3. Players and managers take it much less personal than fans, due to free agency and the increase in inter league play (less divisional play)
  4. Unforunately fueds like Garner vs Bevington are over with free agency, all of the interleague play and coaching moving around so often.
  5. why keep marjon? Doc refuses to play him. I'm fine with the rest of it. Also AJJ not getting in the game yesterday when it was falling apart was questionable. Also I agree that they should try to keep their picks unless they are to bring in players are on a rookie deal and not broker a player on the wrong side of 30.
  6. @TURBOi'm shocked that he said he was surprised about the pushback he got from Brewer fans, having coaches and played in that rivalry for as long as he did.
  7. can we just get over it? He was a great manager for the brewers (maybe the best in team history). He plyed out his contract to the best of his abilities and took the highest offer that just happened to be our chief rival. How many threads do we need about how much we hate him?
  8. ownership is definitely involved more than most teams. Also the team is appeasing their star, and not making the best basketball decisions. terrified he will demand to go to a large market. This is what happened in Cleveland for Lebron's first run.
  9. Not saying anything anyone doesn't know. Poor drafting and trading most of their picks did them in. They had a strong starting lineup when healthy, but literally one decent bench player. I don't see how it gets better minus trading 1-2 players for picks and young players. Literally the last 2 games on the road, bucks played them tough for 3 quarters and ran out of gas. Bench scoring yesterday was 50-10. can't win like that. Rumors are hot that Horst will be POBO for the Pistons, which I'm fine with. He did great during his time and won a chip, but coaching hires / fires and draft picks have really been bad.
  10. It is. I don’t think it’s the same Walter. I used to go there all of time, but have gone elsewhere. I had to see his take on the draft today and it was unsurprisingly negative
  11. Walter football trashed the picks, which probably means it was a good draft. I’m ok with Morgan. I love what they did in round 2. It looks like yesterday they got a ton of players yesterday that fits their system. I really do enjoy reading the recaps todays and tomorrow with all of the bloggers who think they know more than teams with a full scouting department that there only job is to scout college players all year.
  12. Bleacher report had him 35th overall
  13. The Monk pick is getting trashed, but he is a classic ol pick for gutey
  14. When Bulaga made the pick and thanked the fans for the warm welcome, I wish he would have said we will return the favor next year :)
  15. looking at the re-mocks this AM is pretty crazy. A lot of 1st round talent available.
  16. I know all 3 other North teams had a big night last night, but this is a crazy stat:
  17. I thought they would go that way, which sucks because the bears were gifted him.
  18. GM said Penix could sit 4-5 years. They are truly trying to recreate Jordan Love / Aaron Rodgers https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10118683-falcons-gm-suggests-michael-penix-jr-could-sit-4-or-5-years-behind-kirk-cousins
  19. Morgan was one of the tackles I thought they would take, I never believed the hype of guys like Mims, because that not the type of OL player Gutey takes. I'm OK with it. I wouldn't be shocked if they do what they did 2 years ago and move up at the top of the draft to get a DB
  20. They have the ammunition to do so, Kool-Aide would be ok too
  21. I try to stay off of X during the NFL / NBA draft. Its really no fun to know before the commish says the pick. The draft is a TV show, if you know how the show ends while you watch it, whats the point?
  22. I honestly think "Walter" sold his site a few years ago to a new "Walter". It a lot of hot takery these days.
  23. @Samurai BuckyThe bucks biggest issue is that they have been trading every pick that they can to go all-in, which their stars aren't getting any younger. Middleton is 32, Lillard 33, and Lopez 36. The only recent 1st round pick you made, can't get on the court. I get you had to make the moves you made to keep Giannis happy and resigned, but there is a price to pay (cap and age wise) when you do this.
  24. yes, @adambr2 Lillard has tried to carry this team on his back these 2 games with Giannis gone. Portis and Middleton need to step up in game 3, especially if Giannis misses again. Neither were absent last night, but the 2nd leading scorer in the league is out, so more is needed. Bench scoring was pitiful though.
  25. well they would still have to make their pick and trade it on draft night then, since they didn't have one last year. You may be right, we will see what changes are made to the team. I do know that they need some young / cheap controller players.
