  1. Is Budinger a good defender? I like Meeks because he plays very fast, and he is a great shooter, two things that are very important qualites in an NBA player. Also I've heard he is a better defender than reports are saying. not really, his scouting report is that he easily gets beat off the dribble due to his poor lateral quickness. Meeks seems to have the same issue, but has less size than Budinger. He is a good shooter though and could help us as a backup 2 or 3.
  2. I was hoping for buddinger over meeks. Meeks is not a good defender and is an undersized 2. He is a shooter off the bench but thats about it.
  3. i'd love to see the bucks take McNeal, I think he would further bring a defensive presence to the team, i just don't see them taking a SG.
  4. On the next page someone posted the link..not sure if it was a joke or not since I didn't click on it. Maybe I got played That trade was for Amir Johnson not Amare.
  5. I don't mind that trade assuming that they guarantee that they will bring back sessions and get a pg at 10. We don't need 3 of them. Clearing cap room will benefit us next year to bring back players like LRMB who will be restricted after this season. The problem is that they have so many bad contracts, salary room needs to be cleared somehow to bring back players who can actually contribute.
  6. my official predictions: Flynn at 10, Jeff Adrien at 41. (I'm such a big east honk).
  7. this move was made because of mistakes by larry harris and herb kohl. It seems like every restricted FA that they match an offer sheet on fails. Usually when they bring in a FA he fails too. Also trades made by Harris were unfavorable. The only way is that bucks can compete is again is to do what the brewers are doing / did and draft good players. I think Sessions has a chance to be good and would hope that this trade allows them to bring him back. If CV leaves I won't loose any sleep over it. Hopefully by Kohl bringing in Hammond and Skiles its a sign he won't meddle as much and allow the them to do what they need to make the team better.
  8. this move ensures that the bucks will have huge cap room after next season, gadz and redd coming off of the boards as well.
  9. i like bruce bowen and kurt thomas even though they may be way pass their prime. Should make thursday interesting.
  10. based on the mocks that i have seen and assuming that the bucks will take a pg at 10, i have decided that my top choices of players that should be around is #1 Flynn, #2 Lawson, #3 Teague, #4 Holliday, #5 Jennings. I'd like the bucks to look at Jeff Adrien at 41 to fill a need at PF.
  11. 80 dollars at fan fair at southridge
  12. I agree but i'd take a restart over that any day of the week.
  13. that is a possibility. The team has Jefferson's, Redd's and Gadz's contracts expiring after this next season so depending on what it would take to get Sessions or CV in, the team could have huge cap space going into the 10-11 season. Woeffel was on 1250 and speaking that some player personal people that drafted below the bucks didn't even have Blair in the top 15. I would rather have Sessions than CV back and that means that a PF would be a good pick, but unless Hill falls to 10, I don't see one around.
  14. Blair is a good need pick that i would not be upset about. If PG is the way we go, I'd go with Holiday. I think our best option would be to bring back sessions and draft Blair though.
  15. i did the flip back and forth tonight too. Not really a hockey fan but enjoy going to admirals games and was intrigued by a game 7.
  16. i am waiting for the lineups to be announced, if some notable names are missing then i'm going to continue to think something is up, if its the everyday lineup, it will seem to be that nothing is happening in the immediate future. It was odd yesterday that these rumblings came out the day half the regulars sat.
  17. Witnessing these things unfold is agonizing. i agree, the worse part is waiting for a trade to go down, knowing we should be getting a decent starter, wondering what we gave up. Atleast when the CC trade went down last year, there were no rumors of a completed trade until it went down.
  18. Thanks thread, as if I wasn't being unproductive enough today! i hear you, between this and the actual game, the productivity meter is not too high.
  19. i would think it would be JJ. The brewers are not going to trade a player they can have on the cheap for 3 years that has been compared to ozzie smith. I can't wait for the end of this game to see if something is announced this evening. it is weird that most of the team sat today.
  20. Both have high major league ERA's and small sample sizes from previous organizations. Smith was pitching better in Nashville so I'm fine with him staying aboard. I would hope at some point Melvin gets an arm and Smith goes back down.
  21. bucks looking at jeff teague at #10.
  22. thats not a bad idea, he is batting .349 in Nashville.
  23. i don't see the team adding that much payroll in a midseason trade. If a team is willing to take a bill hall or jeff suppan then maybe, but obviously that would defeat the purpose of what the tribe is trying to do.
  24. this is definitely one of the big differences between ned and macha. Ned would continue to play Hall everyday and hope he comes around and starts playing like he did in April. While sometimes it works, Mota and Gagne last year came around and was valuable members of the pen towards the end of the year but they blew enough games earlier in the year to not justify it. If Gamel is the future at 3rd, you might as well give him an opportunity and if his defense starts to outweigh the contributions on offense, figure out something else. Already Julio, Nelson and Duffy were held accountable for their failures, I expect Hall too. I don't mind starting him against lefties, but he should never be in the lineup against another righty.
