  1. the guy who said this is straight out of a wwe storyline couldn't have been more right, CC going all Hulk Hogan joining the NWO today.
  2. Hopefully this means the CC drama is almost over too. Vogt was one of the 2 guys that intrigued me if we need to hire a manager (DeRosa being the other).
  3. Makes sense, brewers have many young outfielders no sense in paying cahna 11 million.
  4. Nice to see dame take over at the end of the game tonight
  5. I said I could be wrong, wasn’t doubting the story. I hope he resets the managers salary and ownership steps up to keep him so he can continue to destroy the teams managerial win record.
  6. I get the feeling it’s not about money but I could be wrong. If he just wants to gauge his worth, that’s his right. I always thought it’s about not wanting to rebuild with payroll constraints.
  7. I know they are not made for me, but I think just about every single CC jersey this year is awful. I really wish it was a 3-5 year rotation rather than a new concept to sell every year. I can't even imagine what these jerseys will honor in 5 years as Nike / NBA runs out of ideas.
  8. I get its a new coaching staff and they completely changed their team dynamic right before camp started, but losing Holiday may be a bigger deal than thought.
  9. Alt and Bullock would be an awesome haul. I want a tackle and safety early and both would help right away
  10. A 3rd for Douglas and a 5th seems like a nice trade. I'm glad they are not trying to add pieces and give up draft capital.
  11. I don't get it. Even if you justified it by saying you plan on signing him to an extension, that still doesn't account that you gave up a 2nd to get a little better and maybe pick a little higher in the draft.
  12. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10095428-mets-rumors-brewers-craig-counsell-has-serious-interest-in-nym-manager-job fine, cool. I want him back but mostly want it resolved quickly so the brewers can pick a new one before all other jobs have been filled.
  13. Couldn’t have asked for a better debut for Lillard
  14. In my example it doesn’t really matter what the occupation is, he has been a good employee for 9 years and fulfilled all contractual obligations. We may be sad if he leaves but we really shouldn’t have animosity towards him.
  15. That’s how it should be. I’m not a fan of people (especially alumi) that cheer for both. It’s no fun if you are happy no matter how the first Saturday in December ends up.
  16. Dame is playing as I expected. Putting up wonderful offensive numbers and got toasted a few times on D. I get you make the move you did every time but Holiday will be missed in some areas this year.
  17. 100% this. Priorities change as we get old, and sports no longer becomes the center of our universe while balancing work and family and life. Its not that I don't care, its just i'm over most things right after they happen.
  18. Obviously people can feel however they want about this situation, but some people are taking this way too seriously. If a teacher's contract is up and goes to a new school district, does that mean that the old school never met anything to him / her and all of his/ her previous students never were that important to that teacher? Obviously No, that teacher found a better situation for their family for whatever reason.
  19. Yes they do have a good farm system. But if you are trading all star arms and infielders and replacing them with prospects, it’s a rebuild. They may have a great record next year, but their core will be different in 2024 no matter what Arnold says. I said before if the brewers want stadium renovations you really can’t sell all of your best players until it’s done.
  20. People are taking business way too personal. He has never said he won’t come back. You don’t release a free agent a week before his contract is up because he hasn’t made a loyalty pledge yet. Yes, he is probably gone . He has been the longest serving manager is baseball for some time and is easily the best in team history. Brewers are probably going to start rebuild, I can see why that’s not appealing. I’m ok either way.
  21. First of all I never claimed that MU was as popular or had as large of a fan base as UW. That being said to say that "they aren't a Wisconsin team" or "They are closer to UWGB than UW" is just not correct. The question was ranking Wisconsin teams in the next 2 years. Marquette is set up for a decent run under Shaka and are probably in better shape than most of the "true" Wisconsin teams.
  22. If CC wants to manage the brewers, he will. Also I hope Counsell makes his thoughts / I t etioms known sooner rather than later. I’m sure he will. Brewers are his hometown team so I don’t think he will leave them hanging. Brewers really can’t do much until they know.
  23. why is Marquette always excluded as a Wisconsin team?
  24. I think the solution is pretty simple, a user fee on tickets and using the income tax that is generated to pay for any repairs / new construction. I think we are past the days of building arenas with sales tax increases, it will never be accepted by most of the public.
