  1. Seahawks hiring Mcdonald. Which means Ravens will need a DC, also Mcdonald will probably want to bring one of his assistants to seatlle. Packers better act fast if they want one of these Ravens assistants.
  2. I don't see the advantage of a smaller RF scoreboard. Whom does that serve that can't see the CF scoreboard? Maybe LF, but def not CF or RF bleachers.
  3. Chris Hewitt is another defense coach (passing game coordinator and secondary coach) that I like. Ravens staff may be crushed this offseason with DC hires :)
  4. its not. I don't have it on direct tv stream either.
  5. For those in Milwaukee without Ballys, 10 games will be on wmlw this season
  6. I know it already started so I’m a little late but calling my shot. Bailey and Gunther winning tonight
  7. He won the press conference as expected. The crazy thing that I took away is that there will be only 4 full practices left this season. Not sure how much he can do
  8. Wondering if some of griffin’s assistants will be let go. If they add 2 you would think not all will be retained. I don’t think there is a max of assistants you can have on the bench though.
  9. I get that. I do think many Packer fans want Leonard because they watch the badgers each week and liked his defense. If he was the d coordinator for say Alabama or USC whom most packer fans don’t watch maybe each and every week, wouldn’t be so high on him. So maybe not because he is a badger but familiar and comfortable with what he can do.
  10. I think it’s different coaching a 20 year old “amateur” vs a 30 year old multi million dollar pro. Maybe his time in the pros prepared him for that. I just saw too many successful college coaches try pro and fail. and yes many pro coaches started in college. They also worked their way up as a positional coach, not a defensive coordinator out of the shoot
  11. @BrewerFan @areacodes @LouisEly I did say that if MLF thought he was the best candidate, I wouldn’t be upset. I do wish that they brought in someone with pro coaching experience since he would be running the d with an offensive focused coach. I never said he was a bad coach, ran a poor scheme or anything. He always struck me as a smart coach. Jeez, I wasn’t bashing him at all, just stating my opinion on the profile of the coach I wanted them to hire
  12. the winner is always the obvious one as of late and the surprise entrants are no as surprising or as many in quantity as hey were back in the day. its still my favorite PPV, but its just not the same. They would rather use NXT people than HOF'ers in that role.
  13. Griffin was making 4 million a year, Bud was making 8 million, so about 23 million a year
  14. agreed, but then why not hire a young position coach off of a good defense like Chris Hewitt. I guess I won' be upset if its Leonard, but also I think some may want him to get the job more because he is a badger. Michigan had the best defense in college football, if they hired their DC to the same job, would packer fans be excited or disappointed, I think the latter.
  15. not because of scheme, but it would be asking a lot for someone with no pro coaching experience to run a defense. Especially with an offense focused head coach. The success level of college coaches going pro isn't very good.
  16. Rivers is signed through 26/27 for 40 Million. so 3.5 yrs = 11.5 million a yr. he better get a belt.
  17. Looking forward to the rumble this year, on the men’s side I think CM Punk most likely wins it. Cody Rhodes is my #2 choice, The Rock is my surprise entrant / winner. on the woman’s side, its wide open. I’m thinking Becky Lynch, Nia Jax, or Bailey make the most sense
  18. After some thought, I do think Don Martindale makes the most sense for DC. Id be upset if it’s Leonard. If it’s a younger position coach from a great defense I’m ok with that too.
  19. Packers signed Jake Podlesny. His college stats are much better than Carlson, but went undrafted and was a preseason cut. I think this is a great move by Gutey.
  20. reports are that Doc is looking at hiring Dave Joerger for an assistant role.
  21. He wasn't my first choice in the offseason, but now they are paying a lucrative deal to Rivers and paying Griffin's salary when they could have just hired doc in the first place. Also Doc is forced to work with a staff that he didn't select. Its not ideal.
  22. the bigger issue than if he should have been fired is the replacement. personally i'd want to stay away from a recently fired coach that could only be here for a year only to seek a new HC job, like Vrabel. I would like a position coach off of a good D like Al Harris or Chris Hewitt.
  23. reports are that Barry could stay on staff in some capacity, which is crazy talk and would undermine the new DC. "Barry still could remain on the Packers' staff in some capacity -- a possibility that is being discussed, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter." source: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/39377253/packers-fire-defensive-coordinator-joe-barry-according-reports
  24. me too, i'd rather use Miller to spell Hoskins and keep his versatility.
  25. Finally, 1st base is taken care of. I agree I wish there was no opt out, but this is the best case scenario for 2024
