  1. the team gives great deals. If you plan ahead to go to a game you can usually get a ticket special during the previous games broadcast. They had tons a package deals this season. Problem is 1) the obviously tanked april, (2) who wants to go to a game to see second stringers play, and (3) the nba game is not as enjoyable for me to watch compared to college.
  2. while its a good deal, i only go to 1 game a year. For a team that i at least followed very closely on tv, i really only watch if i am home and without anything to do. I do make it to one pacers game a year because my roommate is a big fan but thats it.
  3. yeah thats what i said when i saw the pick on mlb.com.
  4. those are fake, but this is Bill Hall's I believe it to be legit profile.myspace.com/index...d=53027945 EDIT: here is yo's profile too (probably not legit) profile.myspace.com/index...=196652576
  5. id do weeks and vargas for willis, but i am sure they wouldn't. They would want one of our top 2 pitching prospects, as well as a top prospect hitter. The marlins know how rich our farm system is and there mo is to get top propects. Vargas adds not value to their rotation and weeks has not been able to stay healthy. Why would the marlins do that?
  6. i might do it for dontrelle but not cabrera
  7. if they think they are getting 45 rounds in today it better be soon. I think they may need to rethink the draft if they are televising it next year.
  8. i agree, since its not easy to follow amatuer baseball in Milwaukee, Patrick has been invaluable in getting me up for today. Its no fun to follow the draft when you don't know anything about the player we took in round 1.
  9. problem is Reed is that if that Jason White could play someone would of found him. Tom Brady was drafted low and turned out well. Sherman was terrible for drafting workout warriors who didn't belong on a football field, but it always seems that with 30 teams in the nfl most good players gets found somehow.
  10. thats my bad for bringing it up and letting badgerfan have free reign to attack james.
  11. i never really said that James was going to be a good pro (heck i don't think he is all that great of a college player). Someone may take a flier on him next year due to his athletic ability, but he is a bad shooter and doesn't run the team that well. I may be a mu grad but that doesn't mean i automatically feel hes a first round pick.
  12. hes still going 2. i would rather look at his body of work than just a couple day camp. I just didn't think he could be rated so badly. wonder what dominic james was ranked.
  13. ill have to stop by the liquor store after work to get a 6 pack
  14. sports.espn.go.com/nba/dr...id=2894925 ranked 78th out of 80 players at the camp. Does this have any affect on his stock. My guess is no. (it be nice if he falls to 6 though..........)
  15. wow this thread really took a turn. I don't smoke, but that doesn't mean that I or anyone else could get lung cancer from second hand smoke. Thats a really harsh stance. Back in the day noone knew that it was cancerous and some just couldn't just quit. It happened to my great aunt. Does that mean that someone who enjoys eating at mcdonalds and needs a new heart should not get one either?
  16. well i am not sure if it is open to the public or not, but if it is it is not as exciting as the nba or nfl drafts. Its a conference call. I wish i could see the broadcast of the draft because i am unsure on how this is going to play out. I listened to the 03 draft atleast for the first round, but since then only followed it on mlb.com and here.
  17. by all accounts this is a very close team and i wouldn't want to ruin that with someone like dukes.
  18. i still have my nes and tecno super bowl but have no idea what kinda of records i had back in the day.
  19. i think i am finally up on the draft (thanks patrick!) heres what i am thinking in order of what i would be happy with 1. heyward. 2. wieters 3. moskos (i love lefties who can bring the heat) 4. Detwiler i know signability is a problem, but catcher is our biggest weakness on the farm, if we can draft wieters and sign him, then we may be set once Estrada is gone...
  20. all right lets get one more and we can get out of this only giving up 1
  21. this is looking similar to his last start against the cubs
  22. link really no further info though
  23. ill definitely give it a try when it comes here finally. I think it will probably doing pretty well here.
  24. hey i went to marquette for engineering so we were not that nick picky about english.
