  1. I love it when people complain about "reaches". Trust me the brewers weren't intentionally trying to mess this pick up. They clearly love this kid and didn't think he would last much longer. It really dones't matter if he was or wasn't on the MLB Pipeline top 500 once he is signed and gets going.
  2. another short shortstop https://www.prepbaseballreport.com/profiles/ON/Dylan-ORae-0287596314-4521037968
  3. another SS in the 3rd, We sure do love Middle Infielders and centerfielders.
  4. The player I’d love is Ivan Melendez at 27
  5. RAW going back to TV-14 effective next week. https://www.givemesport.com/88034500-wwe-truly-major-change-coming-to-raw-from-next-week?fbclid=IwAR2jj7xN0nTihMKTuIOA21B82hjx4Dof-kn_8gp3PpcSKti2sjd0z2sNOTw I have noticed NXT get much more risqué since is got its facelift, will be interesting to see if RAW follows suit as AEW continues to increase their market share.
  6. and Green has been awful the last 2.5 games after a stellar start on his 3's
  7. I agree he should have been an initial selection. That's not to say if Williams was a closer he would be one of the top in the NL and also deserves the nod. I mean the dude has basically struck out 2 an inning all season.
  8. if it replaces all-star weekend entirely, thats a bonus though. my biggest concern is injuries during a meaningless exhibiting tournament.
  9. those tournaments help boost teams NET ratings, since most major college basketball teams plays a bunch of cupcakes before conference play. They would have to give teams insensitive to win this thing. (1st rd playoff bye, guarenteed home field advantage through the playoffs, etc).
  10. Also there looks like there is talk of an in season tournament involving all teams starting in 2023-24. I HATE the idea and can’t see teams taking this seriously since its still just an exhibition game. It would be a shame if Giannis or another star got hurt playing this tournament. Therefore i would imagine starters would be playing none to limited minutes.
  11. While doesn’t matter in the grand scheme but I’m genuinely surprised they didn’t replace Hader with WIlliams.
  12. Yeah i don’t care if he starts the all-star game, i want him starting for the brewers. This is similar to when CC started the final game before the ASB and then pitched the 1st game back. If he starts on Sunday, he could start Friday as well.
  13. Both are good rule changes. it was always dumb to basically penalize the team that got a steal and fast break. Plus the fast break fouls can tend to have a larger injury risk. While the play in tournament is corny, its fine. Its no different than what MLB does now for wild card rounds.
  14. I have a feeling I’m going to love AJ Green
  15. he was 30 when he got called up. I didn't expect much from him rather than a warm body until the acquired one. I wouldn't worry about it. He will be gone by months end.
  16. American Family Field? It has hosted soccer matches already. I can't see taxpayers being too happy to build a 20,000 seat stadium to host a MLS franchise.
  17. Bucks released Tucker and Vildoza days before summer league games start and after the roster was released. I think the easiest explanation is that they had firm professional contract offers overseas and the bucks let them pursue it as a courtesy. If thats not the case, obviously the will sign 2 guys that they wanted to get a look a close look at more.
  18. they do have to fill out a roster with min contracts so it makes sense from that standpoint to get a vet on the bench.
  19. I would assume it was for the vet minimum so it would be a big body off of the bench. He did provide very little after the DDV trade though.
  20. Wouldn’t that be the end of college football as we know it. Win a bowl game or else you lose scholarships and are regulated to D2. I don’t think it would ever go that far.
  21. No surprise. At some point, Small needs to come up to see what he can do. He is already 25, so he isn’t a 21 year old prospect anymore though.
  22. Wonder if this is a showcase instance, a warm body until Taylor returns or if they plan on keeping 3 catchers all season. With Renfroe and Taylor coming back soon, not sure how there is room for a .200 hitting 3rd string catcher / 1st baseman that never actually played first in the bigs.
  23. My concern would be that he is 33 and has 4 years left on his deal, while MIddleton only has 2 years left and is only 30. Thats Giannis’s buddy so I don’t think they will do it for that reason alone. Also he did completely screw the Nets. They brought in Kyrie and traded Harden to appease him and now they are stuck with probably their only “star” being Ben Simmons with no draft picks. Also they paid him a year of max salary to rehab.
  24. I agree, i see where this is going. 4 super conferences comprised of (mostly) BIG and SEC schools, winner goes to the playoff, The excitement of schools like Cincinnati getting into the playoff is OVER.
  25. i get what you are saying, but its not like upsets NEVER happen. last season lowly Jacksonville St beat Florida State. Northern Arizona beat Arizona. in basketball, just remember St Peters beat the bluest of the blue bloods in Kentucky.
