  1. they clearly chose their 3rd string catcher for that reason. they weren't going to bring up warren and expose him
  2. i don't really watch AEW, but i had to find the promo video to watch. The genius thing is nobody really knows if its a work or a shoot.
  3. Feliciano is batting about 100 points higher than Jackson. IF the brewers are going to commit to giving Mario PT, then it makes sense to call him up. If they are simply just going to give Caratini the lions share of atbats, then just call up Jackson. It would be nice to give Feliciano an extended look with Narvaez going into FA this offseason.
  4. Some sports websites had him as the starter for Monday before the small news. I think Curt is correct. His triple A starts are ok after 7 starts.
  5. Its on my list to watch. I need to read a season 3 recap before I do and finish up Yellowstone season 4.
  6. i get what you are saying but the brewers would then have to eat 900k, which i don't think they want to do. Severino put them in a tight spot and they made a decent acquisition to correct it, so maybe just DFA'ing him is the right answer. Its not like his offensive stats are historically better than Caratini anyway.
  7. Will be interesting to see how the brewers handle innings 8 and 9. I do not think Williams will be available, possible Hader for the 9th. Maybe Boxberger back for the 8th and Hader?
  8. I didn’t realize Caratini has options. Maybe then you send him down. Navarez is a FA after this season. Maybe the brewers think long term about a Severino / Caratini catching corp next season.
  9. Good questions, not sure. I don’t think they can keep Severino and Caratini on the roster from July 3rd on, as 2 offensively challenged backup catchers. I think Caratini has been good enough to move on from Severino once his suspension is over.
  10. I don’t think he was that bad. He still has control issues to work on. He needs to get better after the 1st time though and the hitters get a 2nd look. He’s 25, not sure what the brewers are waiting for. Also i have no idea who will be the 5th starter. Not sure why they can’t / won’t let Small take his lumps.

  12. Ashby has been great! I know he had a horrible debut against the cubs. Another reason to not worry about Small yet.
  13. 1/4 way through the season. Severino is eligible to come back in about 40 games. The question is what do you do with him. I think Caratini has been a fine backup. I guess you could carry 3 catchers, but that could be very hard to do. The fact that he is not playoff eligible works against him, but he does have an arby year, so that could be favorable for him.
  14. I Question how helpful this is for Peter or the brewers. I Know he is practicing, but thats different than facing live enemy bats.
  15. Not too familiar with this guy. Looked him up. Interesting background. Looks like he pitched for a CC late (ages 21-23), joined the brewers after a year in Indy ball at 25 after school.
  16. I'm not a fan either, but I think its nice that the Marquette soccer and lacrosse teams will have a legit D1 facility.
  17. its being privately funded. Marquette sold the land, and is leasing it back. no tax money will be used.
  18. isn't the torrent considered professional? I'm not a fan so I am not certain but I do know they are (were?) playing games at hart park.
  19. I agree that they probably won’t be able to afford their 1st round pick. It’s sad because draft picks are normally cheap talent, but the bucks are going to be in a tight spot no matter what they do. I don’t mind your idea of trading Lopez, They obviously have to do something to clear some space. I do think Portis and PatCon are probably gone. But as you said, if they can get rid of Lopez maybe they can give Portis a raise to keep him here. They do need to find a shooter somehow. Allen has shown to be streaky at best and is a large reason why they lost the Eastern semifinals. If you lose Connaughton as well, you probably have to rely on Nwora to make shots off of the bench.
  20. Banks and Naomi left raw and even put their titled on John Laurenitis’s desk. Will be interesting to see how this ends. Also it has been rumored that Naomi was joining the bloodline and may have gave that up to stick out for her friend
  21. With yesterdays loss, I think we should start a new thread to discuss how the bucks can get back to the top of the mountain. 1) Unrestricted Free Agents to be: Carter, Ibaka, Matthews 2) Restricted Free Agents to be: Nwora, Winnington 3) Player Options: Connington, Thanasis, Portis. Of the UFA’s I think Carter is the one that makes the most sense to return. The 2 RFA’s, If they want to come back on the cheap, thats fine, but both are bench fodder. Obviously Thanasis will be picking up the player option. I would imagine Portis and Connington opt out to test free agency. Bucks have 160k of contracts on the books already, so I can’t see them doing much FA wise. Regarding the draft, I have a feeling they will try to move that pick for an expiring contract similar to 2019 when they drafted Kevin Porter JR who could be of help for Lauer. If they do make a pick, I’d love them to take a chance on the Jokic kid. If not, I’d like to see an older shooter, maybe Wendell Carter from Duke. Horst has shown to be a shrewd GM, but this offseason is not only critical, its going to be a challenge.
  22. i don't get it either. I could see if there was nothing going on but there is NHL and NBA playoffs and MLB is in full swing. Isn't it enough to see the schedule this evening online? only proves NFL is king and the only league that could get away with this.
  23. For the pro wrestling fans out there, what is your favorite show (must see) of the week. For a while, it has been smackdown for me, but of late it has been NXT 2.0. I know the quality of the matches are nowhere near what AEW puts out or Raw / Smackdown, but I like the Indy wrestling feel with the backing of USA / WWE. I think the rebrand started roughly, but it is hitting its stride of late.
  24. also note that teams are stuck with these for 3 seasons.
