  1. i would hope not. He has been a Bud guy in Milwaukee and Atlanta. I think the organization needs a re-shifting. The one candidate that would intrigue me is David Vanterpool, but I think he will get the Portland job. Looking at the media reported candidates for the Boston, Portland and Orlando jobs, its a bunch of former players with little coaching experience and retreads like Jeff Van Gundy or Mike D'Antoni.
  2. He could be a long term answer at DH if that is collectively bargained in the winter like I expect. you basically could maybe get a lottery ticket for him. i disagree that you should cut bait on him at his lowest point.
  3. The coaching candidates that have emerged from the current open jobs is not very inspirational. I know the bucks will probably be the most desired job out there, but still.
  4. Middleton is better than a 7/20 shooter. From what I saw before I bailed, they had looks, they just couldn’t execute the shot.
  5. So 2 observations: Unlike others. I don’t think it’s over, but the bucks better figure out how shoot again stat. If things don’t get better, Bud is gone. Probably after theee 2 games. He needs to win this series to save job.
  6. i think you may be right. he has been OK down there, and CC has trust in him obviously. If Green hasn't been ice cold, I could make the case for him, but thats hard to do now.
  7. good. he had no confidence. I hope we don't see him until roster expansion in September.
  8. Brewers traded him for Tyler webb, and now you think we would have to give up Taylor & Feliciano . I'm not saying he isn't an upgrade to what we got, and I like you out of the box thinking rather than thinking we should be trying to get Josh Donaldson, but yes Ray would be appropriate compensation.
  9. Peralta would have the best chance but he would have to win about 14 games a year
  10. Have you been watching the dark side of wrestling on vice. Very good as well, but definitely not as family friendly. These a&e ones are great and brings back great memories of the hay day of wrestling in my youth. That’s when they tried to outdo themselves each Monday.
  11. Saw this on facebook and I guess Mark Derosa actually suggeted this on mlb network. Twins get JBJ and Antoine Kelly Brewers get Donaldson and 15MM This trade is awful for the brewers, its an upgrade at 3rd, but he is owed 50MM after this season and is 35 already and has an injury history anyway. This is another case of national media knowing that brewers need a corner infielder and coming up with suggestions but they aren't really plausible. Also twins don't really need JBJ but I am sure they would love to get Donaldson's contract off of the books.
  12. I'm sure he does, more appearances + more saves = more $$ in arby. that being said, it seems like he has been much better than last year in a traditional closer role.
  13. I agree, if the brewers had the alternate script on the road uniform it would be elite. It was really my only complaint with the change. The font looks good on the 2 home uniforms, but maybe because Milwaukee is too long, it doesn't seem to work on the greys.
  14. Will be interesting to see what the corresponding move is. the pitchers left on their 40 are not that inspiring. I was hoping Yardley would be the one sent down today.
  15. I would give him a chance at 3rd. It probably won’t work, but the corner infield positions are so rough right now, it can’t hurt.
  16. But that wouldn't make any sense for the Packers, none. Oh cool you forced Rodgers to retire, really stuck it to him! Don't mind how it hurts the Packers more than Rodgers. Rodgers can just go do something else likeJeopordy, but the Packers would miss out on multiple top draft picks and probably legit talent along with it (or even more draft picks). The Packers hold all the cards if we knew 100% there is zero chance he would retire...but it seems more than plausible he could. Rodgers holds almost all the cards because he holds the most deadly card (retiring) and that is clear by the Packers publicly begging to do anything (basically) to get him to come back and MLF looking like he wants to ball up and cry on multiple occasions. The absolute worst outcome for anyone that hurts someone the most is Rodgers retiring on the Packers. It would be crippling in the short term and long term for the Packers. The Packers can convince him to come back (I still think this happens) or you figure out a trade. Forcing him to not play is not winning for the Packers. All it does is make Rodgers lose, but you are losing even more in the process. i agree with you. it would be franchise malpractice to not trade him if you felt like you had to, but to say that Rodgers holds all of the cards is simply not correct.
  17. its not really though. Packers hold his rights for 3 years. If the Packers choose not to trade him his really only options are to honor his contract or sit / retire, effectively ending his career. Packers hold the cards not Aaron.
  18. its not the same team as last year. the additions that they made have really helped. Holiday is a massive improvement over Bledsoe. Tucker is a decent improvement over Matthews. Portis and Forbes has been FA's that have exceeded all expectations. you are right, I am sure Giannis and the rest of the returning cast really took it personal, but Horst has adjusted the roster pretty well to overcome the bucks defencies. Another big factor is that the bucks learned that you don't need to exert so much energy in the regular season to get the best seed, but rather it make sense to save it for the playoffs. The bucks - nets series will be fun to watch.
  19. the athletics department just played an entire football and basketball season in front of empty arenas. I don't see them spending more money then they have to for a while.
  20. yeah i'd rather get the extra pick than a QB
  21. it was a low risk signing, you can't fault them for taking a chance on him. you also have to applaud them for admitting it was a mistake and moving on.
  22. hopefully he just needed some confidence. He did hit pretty well for the sounds.
  23. I think this is clearly stearns admitting he made a mistake getting Urias. Better to admit that it rather put him out there. I don’t like the arms that they lost, but if adames can put up numbers like he did early in his career and be an elite defender, I’m good with this Also if they were going to improve their offense I would have hoped they got a corner infielder, but in stearns we trust
  24. He is, and has been good offensively before this year. They paid a lot for him though.
  25. this is a little old (2019) but it does indicate that the hitters have done a decent job of adjusting for the shift. While shift use has dramatically increased, BA has plateaued
