  1. Okay, ignoring the cap issue and the fact that the Packers would only have 1 QB signed. If the trade was Love + GB 4th Rounder for NE Pats #15 would you do it? i would
  2. i think its generous to say thats a rumored trade. Supposedly a janitor found it on a piece of paper. The packers didn't trade up to get him just to sell low on him a year later. Granted Rodgers winning MVP did have to put some kind of wrinkle in their plans, but I don't see it.
  3. I could see the Packers moving Love if the were 100% committed to Rodgers for the next couple seasons. Nothing they have done has shown that. Jimmy G was the man in waiting for the Pats and they moved him to further commit to Brady. I agree its a bad trade, and you have to remember they traded up to get him, making the trade worse.
  4. saw this today, take it for what its worth: 4/21: The Bears, Packers and Saints are high on D’Wayne Eskridge. - Tony Pauline, Pro Football Network The Western Michigan receiver had a terrific pro day, which could vault him into Day 2. All three teams in question are desperate for a receiver (including the Bears, who may trade Anthony Miller.) - this one seems reasonable this one does not: 4/20: There is a rumored Patriots-Packers trade involving Jordan Love. - , Gillette Nation Apparently, a janitor found a paper where a proposed trade would have the Patriots and Packers swapping their first-round choices, with New England receiving Jordan Love and a fourth-round pick. I don't see this happening - the Patriots could have just drafted Love last year - but crazier things have happened. source: walter football
  5. i went back 5 years in 2017 they drafted 3B Nick Egnatuk in the 5th and in 16 they drafted 3B Lucas Erceg, which was the one i thought would hit. nothing since.
  6. good point there will probably be an undrafted QB on the practice squad. I was focused more on the 53 man roster.
  7. I doubt it, most teams only keep 2 quarterbacks. If they do anything it will either be a vet or a NDFA for camp fodder. I would expect them to draft a rb late
  8. Thank you for doing that, cosmi is a name I haven’t heard linked to 29. If they got Samuel I would be very happy. Also letherwood would be a great day 2 pick. Jenkins is the guy I really like in the 1st
  9. Over the years I have realized players come to play for the coach, not the university. Therefore if I am an incoming freshman, I have no connection to the university except for wojo and his assistants. Its why its typical for incoming freshmen to de-commit when there is a coaching change. Texas had a mass exodus when they moved on from Smart and 3 of them went to play for Smart, thus proving my point. For whatever reason, he was able to connect with his players and recruit well even with minimal success on the court. It was pretty odd.
  10. i expected carnage on the roster, because that is what happens when you change coaches. It was the only reasonable defense for keeping wojo after the 19-20 season. Texas hired a coach that took A&M to the championship and only kept one recruit. Besides keeping 2 out of 3 recuits and getting 3 texas players to come., he got the A-10 freshman of the year to transfer.
  11. the Dave Bush afternoon game against the Jays in the one that comes to mind, besides the obvious CC one against the Bucs.
  12. is taylor coming up? i haven't seen a corresponding move
  13. Shaka has not turned 3 texas recruits to marquette!. 2 more commits today including Joplin from Brookfield (top 75)
  14. Smart converts a texas recruit to MU (and a top 100 one) https://www.burntorangenation.com/2021/4/13/22382160/emarion-ellis-flips-texas-longhorns-marquette-golden-eagles
  15. Dawson Garcia exploring the NBA draft waters. Personally don't think he is ready, but he is a big who can shoot. I'm sure he will be MU's next NBA draft pick. I just think he needs a year to bulk up. Smart has done a pretty good job of keeping the roster together, they only lost one recruit and no undergrads said they intend to transfer, which is impressive
  16. my personal opinion is that Uzzu +Hulu or YTTV is more than just att tv and you get more channels and its less shady.
  17. Good. it just wasn't there this year. He relied on deception and location, rather than stuff and he couldn't hit his spots. Perdomo struggled last year, so not sure how this helps much
  18. I think U-verse doesn't exist anymore
  19. this strategy has caused a black hole at 1st since prince left and 3rd since ARAM was traded.
  20. not really, Henry, Feliciano maybe. Not a great time to be switching minor league affiliates
  21. Turnbow actually was pretty darn good until it fell apart. I'll give you Bones and Jose K Brewers needed a 2nd basemen in Nashville and had no advanced prospects, so they got Gordon. this is nothing to fret about.
  22. if wong goes on the DL, he will probably be called up. You can't expect Roberston to hold down the fort for a DL stint and the only other options is either move Hiura back or bring Gordon straight to the MLB club.
  23. Shaka was on Jim Rome today. It was really my first chance to hear him as Marquette’s coach. He comes off so impressive. It reminds me of buzz. If he performs in March like buzz I’ll be happy.
  24. i will admit the sausage race thing was dumb. Banning tailgating was fine. Its more fun in the summertime anway. If it was resolved by June, I would have been OK with it. I think they did what they did just to prevent too man shenanigans on opening day.
