  1. This is likely a 1 year deal with the opt out and pending labor dispute. Its hard to get upset about the brewers spending money rather than sitting on it. Like it said in the other thread, if the brewers are worried about Cain's quad, I'd rather have JBJ in center than Tyrone Taylor. This is Garcia's last year of the deal, so if he is the 4th outfielder, that is pretty nice too if JBJ will play right every day. I also disagree with those who said that the brewers offense is still bad. They had a weird 50 game season where pretty much the entire team had career low offensive numbers. I'd be shocked if that occurs again. they should have a great defensive starting 8 which will only help their pitching. i think this is a great value signing.
  2. At 1st. I think the new collective bargaining agreement will have the dh permanent, so he can move to dh

  4. I think he is the 1st baseman until the DH comes to the nl permanently

  6. At this point, I’d be shocked if he doesn’t opt out, unless he starts getting the majority of the at bats soon

  8. Reyes started at 3rd today and homered. I don’t think we can rule it out if Shaw struggles. I would imagine the brewers want Urias to play as everyday and Arcia be a utility guy. We are less than 2 weeks from when Shaw can opt out so the decision will be made soon

  10. that barrel is never coming back in 2021. I think they wanted to make something family friendly, but it was so bland. I can live without the barrel, I understand when that was put out it was a completely different time. Atleast some character is coming back to the ballpark, that could really only happen in Milwaukee.
  11. did my first mock draft on fan speak, at this point i can't speak too well on day 3 picks, but I was happy with how i did for the first 3 rounds: 1) Teven Jenkins 2) Levi Onwuzurike 3) Eric Stokes addresses their pass rush, RT, and I like Stokes at CB. I believe Onwuzurike could be an end in a 3-4 defense
  12. this is the best part about the name change. I love that the chalet is back rather than just a dugout
  13. Its been very rough sailing on the TE front since Bubba Franks left. Seems like #12 and Bobby have good chemistry, lets not piss off our HOF QB anymore for a measly 2nd round pick.
  14. Teven Jenkins is a guy i really like at 29. I disagree with the position that the packers need to look at WR early. I think CB/ OT makes the most sense. Seems to be a few OT's that could be around at the end of the 1st, Leatherwood, Darrisaw, Mayfield and Jenkins.
  15. It’s the way the world is going. I’m ok with it
  16. Is this app like fox sports go that you need a cable subscription or is it available for a monthly charge? It wasn’t clear, maybe that information isn’t out yet?
  17. in theory i like sling's idea of splitting up packages and cutting cost by 1/2. issue is that they have FS1 and ESPN on different packages and no FSWI. If they have a sports and news/entertainment package, then why all the sports stations together.?
  18. By the way, I’m ok with signing a 2 year deal If know fs Wisconsin will be offered both years. The way Sinclair works, that’s can’t be guaranteed obviously. Got to think this one out
  19. Talk about being a Debbie downer . I don’t mind the 2 year contract. I would assume in 2 years the ability to watch sports will be different. I’ll have to look closer into prices for year #2
  20. thanks for this post. I have ATT internet and looked into getting ATT Tv bundled. It is cheaper than Hulu live and I can watch FS Wisconsin again. seems like a no brainer.
  21. Correct. Although to be fair Hulu and YT has jacked their prices over the last year or 2 only to take away channels from their users. Streaming is here. Cable in antiquated in my opinion. it wasn't long ago that if I wanted a record I had to go to Best buy and purchase it. Now I just listen to it on apple music. The music industry has adapted. There is no reason why sports / TV can't either. Its crazy that to prove some point, Sinclair is costing themselves money by putting their foot in the sand, assuming that hulu and google are telling the truth that they offered the going rate for FS regional networks, which I am assuming is correct. As others have said, I have adapted too. Covid has proven that there are other things (and better uses of time) that sitting and watching every game. I can still go to a bar and watch them every one in a while. Put them on the radio when I am outside in the summer. Catch highlights every night. It doesn't make me less of a fan.
  22. i agree its insane. Its 2021. There are ways to illegally watch it. I (and I am sure most on this thread) want to pay their fair share and enjoy the games, and Sinclair / Ballys is making that as hard as possible.
  23. i don't think they need to get a streaming service, they have that. just lift the blackout. they could even raise the prices a little bit and few would care, if that.
  24. if ownership can't figure out its best to have your product out there to as many people as possible, then i don't know what to say. He could have used this in negotiating his contract. Especially this season when its not always possible to go to the park because you can't watch them on TV due to limited stadium capacity. Frankly I don't know what there is to look into. They have the broadcasting rights for the foreseeable future and can transmit how they see fit.
  25. Probably not going to be a Brewer, then, unless that "next step" doesn't materialize. Stearns tends to set a value on players, and doesn't exceed it. I don't know if he's ever gotten in a bidding war over a player. Especially since its not a "need" player - I would agree with you. Seems like this is; He a pretty decent player is still a free agent, would he sign a "prove it" deal with us, ala Moose and Grandal?
