Brewers on ESPN tonight ... apparently not in Milw. area

On a side note, has anybody heard/read anything about what FSN-WI is doing to make up games that they lost to FOX national broadcasts? In the past, FSN added some games in similar situations so I was curious. I hadn't heard anything, nor did I find anything online. Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough.

Steve Philips is one of the reasons I don't watch Baseball Tonight. I would hate for him to keep me away from the Crew.

I haven't heard anything about making up games. I think FSN-WI is broadcasting just about everything other than non-Cub weekday games this year.

I think I'll take the ESPN team. Schroeder really does not do a good job and quite frankly is subpar. I know there are worse but he may have the most boring voice I ever heard.

Also, he screws things up. How about getting on the wrong ump last night before he discovered his mistake in the 9th inning. Bad job Bill!

I would prefer to watch the national broadcast just because it's always nice to hear what others are saying and thinking about us. Plus the production quality is far superior.

I hope ESPN is pro Brewers tonight. I honestly wouldn't be surprised to hear a lot of Cubs talk. I hate all the Cubs love.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif

I live in Rochester, MN and I turned on ESPN to watch the Brewers-Mets game and they have ESPN News playing. ESPN-HD was blacked out as well. This would make sense if the Brewers game was also playing on FSN, but they have a Twins game. Needless to say, I'm very pissed. Why is Minnesota in the Brewers home market? I live 275 miles away from Miller Park? The only way to watch this game for me is on ESPN, but apparently that is too much to ask for. I seriously think MLB needs to rethink these situations......

This is a map of the MLB TV territories. Anywhere a MIL appears is Brewers territory, and thus blacked out of the ESPN game. I agree that it's ridiculous. Look at Iowa, the Cubs, White Sox, Twins, Brewers, Royals, and Cardinals all claim it. For someone with Extra Innings in Iowa, that's up to six games a night blacked out. MLB really needs to rework this so only people who can actually get the game locally are blacked out.

Chaben - I happened to be in Rochester MN this week as well, and was able to check out the game at McMurphy's on FSN WI. Maybe next time you can check it out there.

This is the first time I've ever run across a Brewers ESPN blackout. Adding to what chaben34 and Vgmastr noted, the entire Brewer home territory must have been blacked out. That would mean all of Wisconsin and Iowa, and parts of Michigan, Illinois, and Minnesota.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.
