7/4/07 Brewers (Vargas) @ Pirates (Snell): 3:05 PM CDT

That ball was murdered. Wow. As guessed, 3 is definitely not enough for Vargas. Hold it at 3. Maybe a rain delay will get us into the Pirates bullpen. Snell looks to have found his groove.

Prince needs to calm down and relax. I know he's very frustrated, but throwing things in the dugout and hitting water jugs isn't going to break him out of his slump.

Why is it that whenever Levya hold a runner at third and doesn't wave him hom... BA chimes in with that he must be "sensing a big inning". I would think he just didn't think Prince would make it home safe... I doubt he's really thinking ohh because Prince and Estrada got hits... Jenkins will surely bring them home.

Edit: If BA is correct... Levya's sensing abilities were a bit off with Jenks grounded into the DP.

Guys, good to be back home in Chicago.

Bad approach by the Brewers since the first. I am sick to my stomach right now. This is usually the beginning of the end for Vargas.

I keep telling myself that Vargas will go to the pen after a bad outing, but the Brewers keep winning so they can give the excuse that Vargas only pitches in winning ballgames.

I was right. Vargas is done. When a pitcher goes about 15 starts without pitching into the 7th...that ought to tell you something.

I love giving away ballgames.

This one is over. Mark it and blast me. 7-4 loss in the book.

The Brewers do not come back late in ballgames this year. (Except games against Minnesota and Philly-both losses.)

If I hear "we are still in first place, we have nothing to worry about" I think I'm going to puke.

Well, I don't know about "we" (except that the bandwagon fans are the people who use the expression most often), but the Brewers are still in first place and there's nothing to worry about.

Puke away, brother.

I swear, I have the anti-mikevan bathroom karma.

Whenever I go take a shower during a game and listen on the radio, we inevitably give up runs. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif ... I try to plan it out while we're hitting, but it doesn't really work.

Since when did we reacquire Brady Clark? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif

And to top it off, some great baserunning. I seriously do not understand how we can look SO good on some days, and just awful, like Bad News Bears awful on other days.

Every team is like this (actually, about 85% of the league is worse this year). There's no team that plays good in every game.

Don't you worry about the Cubs, Brett? Even a little?.. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
